I'm thrilled to have been asked by Wattpad to submit a sample entry supporting The Handmaid's Tale, a new Hulu Original series premiering April 26th. Based on what is arguably Margaret Atwood's best-known book, this classic work of speculative fiction highlights the ever-present threats of authoritarianism at a crucial time in contemporary American society. Its message of feminism's role in the resistance against oppression is empowering activism in the real world right now, and it inspired me to write this particular piece of flash fiction.
