Chapter 3

Lots of time skips. This chapter is merely a filler chapter. Please comment on things I can improve or things that are confusing and I will try to fix them.

(disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter, I'm twisting around the elements to fit my story, so somethings might be confusing)

I was crouched on a roof looking down at the busy streets that are New York. It's been around 3 months since I last saw Tom, and I'm closer than ever to finding Nicolas Flamel. Last I heard he was in New York, though he might not be anymore the intel was from a few weeks ago.

Flamel is a hard man to find. Anyhow I've been chasing the damned immortal around the world for weeks, when I get my hands on him he had better have what I want or he'll find himself in a coffin sooner than he expected.

"Looking for someone?" I shot up pulling my shiny black katana out of its sheath and pointing it at the man's neck. "How the fuck did you sneak up on me?" I asked, pressing my blade into his neck.

"I simply walked up to you, how else? Also, if you don't mind, please remove the pointy object from my neck."

I complied, putting my katana back into the sheath at my side. "Who are you?" I asked.

"The name's Nicolas Flamel, and you are?" I was shocked for a moment, opening and closing my mouth like a gaping fish.

"Oh do close your mouth, you'll catch flies." He said smiling.

"Right, I'm Glass Delton, pleasure."

"Delton? The family of dark wizards who disappeared several years ago?"

Stupid old dude he was probably alive when we lived still in England, well no point in lying. "Yes that's correct." I said.

"And what might you be doing in America?" He asked, looking into my eyes as if seeing all the secrets they hold, damn this dude's creepy as hell. "Looking for you actually, I've been looking for you for a while."

"And why is it that you were looking for me?"

"Let's take this conversation somewhere else yea?" I said.

"Hmm," he looked at me suspiciously. "So that you can kill me without witnesses? I think not."

"Fine, I'll just get straight to the point then, the Philosopher's stone. Can you make me one?"

His expression turned dark, "Your kind is not wanted here, I suggest you leave before I get violent, I destroyed the notes and I refuse to help you, I'd die before giving a dark wizard the power of immortality."

"Wrong answer old man." I said, whipping my blade out of its sheath in one movement slicing his neck open, cutting through his spine, killing him instantly. "You should have listened, old man, maybe then you wouldn't have died." I looked down at my now red stained blade wiping it off on the dead man's shirt before re-sheathing it. I scowled in disgust, the once peaceful roof now stained red with the blood of a light wizard. I cast Fiendfyre and watched his body burn, no point in leaving evidence for some american ministry to find. Tsk light wizards think they're better than us and are keeping the world peaceful and safe by eliminating dark magic users. What a joke. The fact that he's still dead tells me the Philosopher's stone doesn't mean we won't be able to die, it only extends life.

When it comes down to it all light wizards ever do is postpone our goals never fully succeeding in destroying them. When one dark wizard periches a new one soon rises, learning from the mistakes of the old ones, becoming better, becoming stronger.

Well then, no Philosopher stone for us, Tom and I may as well create Horcruxes. Yes, it seems as though I have a new research project now, other than figuring out if the fountain of youth exists or not.

1 month later (2 months until 3rd challenge)

I found Flamels current house a few days ago, it seems as though he had been telling the truth when he said his notes were destroyed, basically everything was destroyed. His place was a heaping mess. Old notes charred and burned beyond recognition, furniture and shelves knocked over and ripped up.

The only thing that was still intact was a book he must have missed; it had fallen underneath one of the knocked over cabinets. Strangely enough the book was about carrot growing which makes little sense to me.

Upon closer inspection I realized the book was charmed, quickly breaking the charm all the words in the book changed as well as the title. 'Horcruxes: a beginners guide'. Quite convenient if I do say so myself. The book was written by Nicolas Flamel himself, interesting. Too bad he's dead.

I repaired the couch with a spell and sat down absorbing all the information from the book, memorizing it in a matter of hours.

This book offers the basic information on how to create a Horcrux along with a few warnings, huh guess Flamel's not that light of a wizard after all seeing as Horcruxes require murder it's considered very dark magic. I suppose everyone has a dark side.

Now having this knowledge there's something I want to test. Harry Potter and Voldemort's connection. Potter got a scar the night Voldemort tried to kill him, why? The killing curse was averted because of a barrier the mother put up before death- it was dark magic I checked, ha! See dark magic is useful, damned light wizards stop overreacting- it shouldn't have been possible for him to get a scar.

I'd have to check my theory, and create a spell that sees someone's soul. Potter's scar hurt whenever he came in contact with Quirrel, ha that was fun, an image of Voldemort on the back of his head, It was sort of like a window for us to observe the boys magic potential, the diary in his second year was just good fun, third year we didn't really do anything and the only interesting thing that happened was Sirius Black's break out from Azkaban.

I'm getting distracted if my theory is correct and there is in fact a piece of Tom's soul missing- which would explain his noseless snake makeover- then he may have accidentally made Harry Potter a Horcrux. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but it can be if Potter knows how to use it to his advantage. It also means that if Voldemort kills Harry Potter he will destroy a Horcrux which may hurt, also why waste something as valuable as that?

I suppose I'd have to confirm this theory after creating a spell to see a soul, if I'm correct I'll then have to figure out a way to transfer the soul fragments to something else, no point in destroying an already made Horcrux. If the transfer isn't possible Potter will just have to spend the rest of his life in Tom's dungeons unless he defects and joins our side. This is all theoretical of course but still it's quite probable that this is what transpired that halloween night.

I suppose I should head back to England to create the spell, New York is quite the interesting place. I'll have to come back sometime.

Apparating long distances is not my favorite thing to do, alas it must be done, perhaps I could create a sort of portal for long distance travel. I'll have to experiment.

I apparated back to my place in England and promptly collapsed on the couch. I hate long distance apparition, having been apparating around 50 years and still hate it. I'm going to have to look into this portal after the soul spell and the connection destroying spell.

I sighed, slowly getting off the couch I made my way to my study and proceeded to lock myself in working on the soul spell, only taking breaks for food and... other things.

2 weeks later

I closed my notebook and shoved it in my desk drawer having finally completed the soul spell and connection removing spell. I already have a few notes regarding the portal object but that'll have to wait.

I haven't seen Tom, Necrozma, Nagini and the Malfoys in months and my shop has been closed during that time as well. The amount of angry customers I'll have is not a pleasant thought.

I happen to enjoy stopping by at the most random times, not even writing a letter to warn anyone I'm coming over. They've gotten used to my antics by now, it still annoys them, but they've come to see it's hopeless to tell me to send a letter beforehand.

I grabbed my katana and strapped it to my right hip as I was going to head to Hogwarts later to give Draco a lesson in sword fighting. I also might have to unfortunately visit Harry Potter.

I apparated to the front of Malfoy manor, and being my rude self kicked the front door open and started yelling. No one answered. They must be trying to ignore me, how rude. I walked through the manor coming to a stop at the door with the creepy faces on it. Said room is the 'throne room' I proceeded to open said door and walk in.

I was greeted by my dear noseless friend Tommy. "Glass I see you're back."

"Yea, I've been back for the past couple weeks, see I created a spell and need a test subject."

"Me?" He asked.

"Yes, who else?"

"Can't you do it on Lucius?"

"No it's gotta be you."

"Fine, if this is a prank you'll spend some time in my dungeons thinking about what a horrible friend you are." He said straight faced.

I grinned, "I assure you it's nothing of the sort."

"Go on then, I suppose I'll take your word for it."

"Anima Revelare. (Soul reveal - Latin)" I said. I sucked in a breath, there is indeed a piece of his soul missing, damnit! Thank myself only the caster can see the soul. If the Horcrux really is Harry Potter, and Potter finds out he could use the information he will gain against us. He could see and hear everything Tom sees and hears which would be bad. I suppose I'll have to see him and break the connection. I'm going to eventually have to kidnap him, as I did research incase of this scenario a human Horcrux has to be of age before the Horcrux can be removed and transferred (Made it up, don't kill me). "Thanks, I must be going now." I said, turning around to leave.

"What why?"

Brushing aside his question I said, "Watch Necrozma for me. I'll take her home after the 3rd challenge." I increased my speed to a slow run. I ran out the front door and apparated home to get my broom stick before apparating to a mountain in scotland.

I got on my broom and flew to Hogwarts as fast as I could, I landed out on an open field and walked to Hogwarts, damned anti apparition field gotta walk there and take a bunch of detours.

I approached the castle and thankfully Draco was right outside. "Draco!" I called.

"Lord Delton," he greeted, "what brings you to Hogwarts?"

"Potter, Harry Potter, I need to see him. It's urgent. I just hope I'm wrong."

"He was in the library with Granger and the Weasel last time I saw him."

"Thanks." I said running into the castle, I cast a Disillusionment Charm on myself and ran towards the library, it's been like 50 years since I walked these halls, I'm sorta surprised I know where I'm going.

I slowed in front of the library and walked in, I walked towards the back of the library where I found Potter sitting by himself, I wordlessly cast Anima Revelare on him and studied his soul. There is indeed a fragment of another's soul in his, it feels like Toms. Well then, the damned Chosen One is a Horcrux. I just have to cut the connection between him and Tom so only Tom can manipulate him, not the other way around.

Glad I made this spell as a precaution, "Occiditis Nexum. (Kill connection - Latin)" I breathed. I watched as his soul slowly changed, a few of the threads that connected him to Tom disappearing and changing colour.

There's one threat eliminated. I walked back out front and found Draco again, he had a free period so I taught him some basic moves with a sword. He had thankfully brought the sword I gave him for Christmas with him after the break.

It would've been a pain to bring it here, I envy Lucius sometimes he can just come here unannounced and not arouse too much suspicion while I have to sneak around.

Not that it matters, I like hanging back in the shadows.
