Notes About This Episode:

1) Drawing Kit with his hair down was hands down the most fun part of this episode.

2) What letters were those Unown that gave Kit a brain scan? Can you guess?

3) Image #8, Panel #2: Have I gotten any better at drawing the female body? You tell me.

4) This was actually going to be Episode 6, but I reordered them to make the chronology a little smoother.

5) So the shadowing and shading of this chapter was hugely experimental. I'm not stranger to the "horizontal-lines-as-shadows-and-color" style, but figuring out how to shade empty space was interesting, to say the least. I'm learning, though: I'm doing a panel-by-panel read of Seven Deadly Sins now, and I'm both studying and enjoying the manga. Specifically, I'm studying panel layouts and the way the author shades the images. Learn from the best!

6) Dammit, after doing all that work, I went back and realized that I actually drew the L Unown incorrectly: I forgot to add a small knob to its head.

7) In Image #6, Panel #4, cramming all those those shots together, turning them grayscale, and blurring them somewhat out of focus was quite challenging.

8) I drew this at the same time I was drawing Episode 6. I wound up doing one page of each episode per day (so two pages per day) until I finished one. Then I went to the other.

9) As you may have noticed, Kit's bed is built into the wall. This was inspired by the beds of each officer's quarters in Battlestar Galactica, which are also built directly into the walls.

10) My favorite drawing was Image #5, Panel #1, where the Unowns are staring down at Kit. This was actually the first page I drew out of this chapter, because I liked the layout.
