SAUL: (scowling) So what, you bought...a gladiator instead? (Comes closer, inspects KIT)This gladiator? Look at him. (Pokes KIT hard) He couldn't kill a Magikarp! (KIT goes flat on his ass) He looks like he should be in a Thinner group!
CHALMERS: It was. But looks can be deceiving. The flying-types put it in the ring, and it defeated that war machine they call the Sky Warrior.
SAUL: Hershey? (guffaws) You lie.
CHALMERS: I wouldn't have bought the damn thing otherwise. I saw it with my own eyes: it took off Hershey's wing. The poor fool will never fly again.
SAUL: (stares at KIT) This is a joke. Took off his wing?
CHALMERS: Again, I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it... But yes, this poor excuse for a human took off Hershey's wing, with this sword. (Hands SAUL the SWORD.) It claims it wouldn't have been able to do it without it.

CHALMERS: (claps) Good! Why don't you start on a breastplate, then? This fool's only armor got smashed in the fight.
SAUL: Chalmers!
CHALMERS: What? You like designing things anyway, and you need a break from your work.
SAUL: What about him? (Eyes KIT)
CHALMERS: For now, I'll loan it to Nory. It's no use to any of us in that shape.

Notes about this episode:
1) This was originally part of chapter two, but too long, too many images.
2) Oof, and I thought the last episode was a trial in drawing landscapes! For the pillar the village is located on, I actually had to save some reference images from Seven Deadly Sins to help me out with drawing it.

3) And speaking of reference images, I need to gather a lot more for Saul! Though its only his face that's giving me trouble. Drawing the positions for his arms was actually quite interesting.
4) This chapter was also laborious because it took place at night and inside a cave, so of course I had to include shadow layers! Fun.
5) I finally figured out how I'm going to draw Kit's fringe in this chapter. -_- You may not have noticed, but the style...varied from chapter to chapter.
6) Going back to the shadows, I had to constantly imagine the positions of the characters in my head and their relation to the fire in order to get the shadows right. I actually screwed up in one panel on Image #9 and had to redo them.
7) Did you notice that the Espeon in Image # 4 had earrings?
8) The draft of the first panel of Image #7 was a tragedy. But I like this about digital art: when I do my drafts, they can be as horrible as I want them to be. I just need a guideline for the images, and I can resize and adjust to my heart's content in MediBang Paint.
9) Saul was definitely the most challenging part of this chapter. It's my first time drawing a Machamp, and again, I'm pretty sure I failed hard on the face. XD
10) Kit was again the nicest part of this chapter. Notice that I didn't draw his stick-figure version a lot in this chapter. And yes, that damned cut on his face will be gone in the next chapter.
