Emma's POV

"Oh, you scared the hell out of us, kid" Joe said smiling. I was watching the whole thing while I noticed Iris scanning the room for 'Detective Pretty Boy' or Eddie Thawne, her boyfriend. I'm waiting for Barry and Joe to find out but at this rate, it doesn't look like Iris is planning to tell anyone who doesn't already know.

"Yeah that was quite nap you took there, baby-face. And you still look twelve," a policeman said patting Barry on the shoulder. I laughed and Barry looked at the policeman, amused.

"You look okay. Are you really?" Joe asked.

"Yeah," Barry said.

"Detective West, we've got a 5-50 in progress at Gold City Bank. Two dead. Storm's really picking up on the south side," a policewoman said.

"Grab your rain gear. I'm sorry, Barry, I gotta run," Joe said putting on his jacket.

"Do you need my help?" Barry asked stepping forward.

"No, you take it easy. There will be plenty for you to do once you've settled in. Emma you watch him. Let's go partner." Joe said. I saluted Joe, and right when I did Eddie walked in.

"Hi Emma, Hey Allen. Glad to see you," Eddie said.

I nodded and Barry said "Thanks Eddie."

"Hey, Iris," Eddie said.

"Detective, you should go, my dad doesn't like to be kept waiting," Iris replied monotonously. She is trying to make Barry think that she's not with Eddie, how cute.

"Glad you're back," Eddie said patting Barry on the shoulder before turning to leave. Barry smiled and turned around. He saw the glass case where the CCPD put the pictures of the officers that died on duty. Barry frowned when he saw Detective Fred Chyre's picture.

Iris noticed and said "The night of the explosion, Clyde Mardon shot and killed Chyre. Mardon and his brother died trying to escape their plane crash." Barry nodded and I rubbed his arm.

"Iris! Got a minute? Hey Barry. Good to see you," an inspector said pulling Iris aside. Suddenly I felt a gust of wind, saw some lightning and then, an accused close to where we were in the room started acting up.

"Screw you," he yelled. I made me feel uncomfortable so I subconsciously moved closer to Barry. When I looked up at Barry, he looked dazed like he had in Jitters. I was going to ask him but Iris beat me to it.

"You okay?" Iris asked him.

"I, I'm fine. I-I just need some air. I'll call you tonight. Alright? Oh, and Emma I need you to come with me," he said.

"Sure..." I said confused and Iris nodded smiling. "Barry what's wrong?" I asked when he dragged me outside into an alley. Barry showed me his hand and it was vibrating at inhuman speeds. "Woah..." I said.

At the same time Barry said "What's happening to me?" Barry starts running and he lands on a police car and some garbage cans. I help him up and then he picks me up and starts running straight down the alley. He us ran right into a van filled with laundry bags. The person who was filling up the van pulled off the the laundry bags that covered our faces.

"Awesome," Barry and I said at the same time. We looked at each other and our noses touched. That was when I realized how close we were to each other. I blushed and looked down while Barry smiled and scratched the back of his head. Barry got out of the van and then helped me out.

I jumped on his back and yelled, "Off to STAR Labs!!" Barry laughed and sped off, while I yelped and hid my face in the crook of his neck.
