*Emma's POV*

We heard Barry speed to Stagg Industries and get Simon Stagg to safety. "Stay here," Barry said to Stagg before speeding back to Danton Black. "I know Stagg stole your research, but that doesn't give you the right murder," Barry exclaimed to who we're assuming is Black. We heard grunting and Caitlin and I exchanged glances.

"You think this is about my job!" we heard Black yell. Barry yelled as I flinched. "This is about Elizabeth. She was my wife," Black yelled. Barry grunted again as Black hit him, and I looked at Cisco, fear evident in my eyes. "She had a degenerative coronary disease. She'd been on the transplant list for years, but... Time was running out. So if I couldn't get her a new heart..." Black trailed.

"You were gonna grow one," Barry finished while panting.

"I was so close. Until Stagg stole my research. So he could reap the glory. And I got to bury my best friend. Now... I'm alone," Black said as he cloned and attacked Barry.

Barry was trying to fight off the clones, when Dr. Wells said to him, "Remember, Barry. Find the prime."

"There's too many of them for me to fight!" Barry replied.

"Barry, you need to isolate the prime," Caitlin said to him again.

"I can't. It's impossible," Barry yelled.

"Nothing's impossible Barry you taught me that," Joe said.

"You can do this," I added quickly. We heard Barry make a battle cry as I snickered. Punches, grunts, heavy breathing, and laughs were all that was heard. "Barry! Barry, are you alright?" I asked.

"I'm fine. I'm fine. It's done," Barry said. I smiled in relief until Barry yelled, "Hang on!"

"Wha...? Barry what's happening?" I asked sitting up.

"Don't!" Barry yelled again.

"Barry tell us what's happening!!" I asked, close to tearing up. Right when I said that, Barry sped back to the cortex. I stood up and he walked over to me and hugged me. Everyone else left the cortex and Barry started crying on my shoulder.

"I tried to save him," he said.

"It's okay Barry, he is in a better place now," I said rubbing his back.

"I tried to save him. I'm supposed to save him. That's my job, saving people," Barry said. That's my job, saving people...
