Elsa was astonished. She thought that she was the only person who had ice powers.

"Hey, do you know where to go to get the supplies? My mum is taking us to Diagonal Alley tomorrow if you wanted to go with us. Do you have somewhere to stay?" Jack asked curiously.

"Not really," Elsa replied sadly, thinking about what her mum said.

"Why don't you come stay with me?

"Um . . . I guess I coul—"

"Okay come on!" He said, walking of into the forest.

Elsa followed after him, and after a few miles Jack stopped walking and handed me a piece of paper.

"Why do I need this?"

"It's my address. My house is a safe house, so only the Keeper can reveal the house."

Elsa turned the paper around and words started to form.

White Frost

"White Frost?" She said aloud, glancing up at Jack.

He nodded his head toward the once empty trees to reveal a house. Elsa just gazed at the house with excitement.

"I love magic," she breathed.

They walked into the house to be greeted by a thin women, her long brown hair trailing behind her in the breeze from the window.

"Where did you go Jack? I've been looking all over for you! Oh, who's this you've brought back with you?" asked the lady, a warm smile on her face.

"I was on my way to the lake," Jack replied. "Mum, this is Elsa. Elsa, this is my mum."

"You can call me Amber," Jack's mum suggested.

"Could she stay here and go to Diagon Alley with us?"

"Of course! You can stay in the room upstairs. Are your parents okay with you staying?"

"I don't know, but I don't think it will be a problem. It's complicated." Elsa answered shakily.

She didn't want Jack to know about what her mum said and didn't really want to talk about it.

"Would you like to go lay down? We have an extra bedroom."

Elsa nodded as Mrs. Amber called a name.

"Emma! Come down here!" Mrs. Amber called.

"Okay!" a voice replied as footsteps were heard running down the stairs.

A girl with straight brown hair like her mother popped into the kitchen, her chocolate brown eyes were full of mischief.

"What do you need Mum?" She asked, gazing at Elsa with curiosity.

"Emma, this lovely lady is Elsa, she's a friend of Jack's. She will be staying here for the rest of the summer. Would you show her the way to the spare bedroom please?" Jack's mum asked.

"Come on Elsa, follow me," Emma said, smiling.

She was leading Elsa up to the room when Emma suddenly asked, "Are you close with Jack?"

"Actually, we just met. . . " Elsa replied as she gave Emma a curious.

"Just wondering," Emma said in a sing-song voice, a smug look on her face.

Emma's a little strange, Elsa thought as she looked at the young girl.

"Here we are!" Emma declared as she opened the door.

I like Emma, Elsa thought to herself as Emma left. She looked around the room, but when she saw the bed, she realized how tired she was. Elsa walked over to the bed, and as soon as her head hit the pillow, she fell into a dreamless sleep.
