Winter's POV:

I stood with Scarlet and Elsa as Luna walked into the shopping centre with Alaska. Scarlet squeezed my hand, shaking a little. I squeezed it back.

"What's wrong?" I asked her. "Why are you shaking?"

"Oh ... am I?" Scarlet looked a bit surprised. "Sorry!"

She stopped and sighed. I knew that she had shaking hands sometimes if she was worried or anxious.

"Is this frightening you, Scar?" Elsa asked, noticing the hands too. "You haven't done that in a while."

Scarlet shrugged. Then she leant on me. Elsa stared at us.

"It's okay," I said to her. "We are here with you"

Elsa joined us. She saw the look in Scarlet's eyes. I felt bad. I should have been there for her when Mr Cookson died.

! Is it because you miss your dad?" I guessed.

Scarlet nodded.

"Oh, scarlet!" I said softly.

Scarlet started to cry. The old me would pull a disgusted face. I held her close. Elsa patted her on the shoulder.

"It's okay," we said together.

But we both knew that Mr Cookson meant a lot to Scarlet. Elsa especially. She nodded to me.

"Let me take her," she said. "I really do understand."

I nodded and let the two girls hug. I didn't even know who my parents were. All I knew was that they both died as I was taken from them to be cleaned up after I was born. I didn't know what a real parent was.

"Sorry!" Sniffled my girlfriend. "It's just getting too much. All the things we are doing I used to do with him."

She took a shaky breath and calmed down slightly.

"Sorry, guys!" She sniffed. "I can't help it!"

"It's okay," I said. "We both understand. Elsa probably more!"

At that point, Luna came out, followed by Alaska who had bags full of stuff. She looked happy about it.

"Scarlet's next!" Said Alaska with a smile. "If you are up to it, Scar!"

Scarlet cheered up. Then walked after her sister. Alaska joined me and Elsa.

"Do you girls want to sit down?" She suggested.

We nodded and followed her to a bench. Alaska was holding five bags. I wondered what she got Glacier in the end.

Soon, we all had bags. Elsa had something sweet for Glacier.

"What did you get her?" I wondered. "As a treat?"

"I got her something, too!" Said Scarlet. "As well as her Christmas present."

"Luna told me," said Elsa. "So we didn't get the same thing."

Alaska looked at her feet. She looked down.

"I know what you could get her, Wolfie!" I said remembering the horse plush on the plushy stall.

"You think I should?" Alaska suddenly got excited. "To match with her husky one at Christmas."

"Yeah," said Scarlet. "That's your treat for tonight!"

Alaska ran on ahead with Luna who cottoned on to what she was doing. I walked with Elsa and Scarlet. Both girls were excited.

"Almost here," squealed Scarlet. "And I get to spend it with my friends."

"Aww, Scar!" Elsa said hugging her. "We will make this Christmas the best."

I nodded. We will! Especially for Alaska and Glacier!

Here is chapter 53. So so sorry for the delay. Christmas and things like that again.

Not sure when the next chapter/chapters will be up, but this story iis far from over! And more drama is about to begin. I kind of hinted some in Chapter 49 and 50? I think anyway.
