Chapter 48: The truth part 2.2
Glacier's POV:
No one knew about what Celestia did to me that day. All I knew is that my right hand hurt very badly and people had to help me carry things. I was even excused from physical education and mobility training. I struggled in Mill Brook without Elsa. But Scarlet, Anna, Raven and me and Alaska stuck by each other. Ella even stayed to chat in Sparkle with us.
***
I was in mine and Elsa's room in Sparkle house. Scarlet was with me. Shelby was also in the room. Alaska, Raven and Anna were swimming. I wanted to ring Elsa so badly. I missed her.
"Woof!" Shelby barked sitting down beside me.
Scarlet and I giggled.
"Hey, girl!" I said as the husky put her head on my knee. "How can I help you?"
The dog put a paw on my other knee and patted it gently. I grinned.
"I'm okay," I said to her. "Why? Do I seem tense to you?"
"Dogs are more sensitive than humans," said Scarlet sitting down beside me. "She must be sensing that you feel pain a lot at the moment."
"I'm going to call Elsa," I announced.
Scarlet passed my phone to me.
"Is your hand okay?" She asked as I managed to unlock my phone with my damaged hand.
I winced a little but let voiceover read out names on my messenger list.
"Elsa Harrison!" It read out.
I clicked on her name and hit voice call. I nodded to Scarlet.
***
Shelby made her talking noises near the microphone of my phone, drowning our voices out. I could hear Button on the other end talking back. It was so cute!
"The dogs are so cute," came Elsa's voice on the other end. "Button is doing a great job."
"Better let you go," I sighed as I heard Lilly yawn on the other end.
"No, stay on," said Elsa. "I'll send Lilly to bed. She has ballet in the morning."
"Oh, yeah!" Came Lilly's tired voice. "But I don't want to leave you alone!"
"She'll be okay, Lilly," I said. "Button's there with her."
I heard Dad's voice calling Lilly.
"Better go," sighed my sister. "Night Glacie, Night Scarlet.!"
"Night, Lilly!" We both said.
"Night, Lilly," said Elsa. "See you in the morning!"
There was mumbling on the other end and then the door closed. Elsa sighed.
"What's wrong?" I asked noticing the deep breath. "Is everything okay?"
"Just feeling lonely!" Elsa admitted.
"Are you feeling stable?" I asked. "Less anxious?"
"Not really," admitted Elsa. "Still get nightmares about that day. But not as bad as that day you told me."
"Good job Button was still in the room that night," I said. "We wouldn't have known about your situation."
"Or your state," said Scarlet.
I winced as pain shot through my hand. Then the door of the girl's corridor opened.
"Night, Wolfie," came Anna's voice.
"Aren't you going, Raven?" Came Alaska's voice. "Or do you need some cuddles?"
I didn't hear what Raven said.
"Hang on, Els!" I said. "I think Raven's upset."
Scarlet went to check on the two.
"Hope she's okay," said Elsa. "I do think of her."
"I've never known how much she looks up to you like a sister." I relaxed slightly.
"When I was in Ottershead Orphanage," said Elsa. "We shared rooms. Then when Berra took me home to her home, Raven was alone. Well until she was adopted by Kyla."
I sighed. Then Alaska, Scarlet and Raven walked in. Shelby suddenly bounded up to Raven and helped her to my bed. The girl seemed quiet.
"Raven's here," I said to Elsa.
"What's wrong, RaRa?" Elsa asked. "Is it because you miss me?"
"Yes," sniffled the eleven year old. "Plus the girls in year eight are laughing at me."
"Strange," I said. "They were nice last year."
"People change, though!" Elsa reminded me.
"Hm ... true!" I sighed.
"Listen to me, RaRa!" Elsa said calmly. "Go with Wolfie to you and Anna's room and have some sleep. Then tomorrow, you can ring me! I know you girls have to hand your phones in."
"Okay," sniffled the little girl. "Night!"
Alaska walked over and helped her to her feet. Then she lead her out of the room.
"You better go and get your meds, Glace!" Elsa said. "It's close to our bed time there!"
"Okay, love!" I said. "Goodnight, sleep well. Give Button belly rubs from me and Shelby and Scarlet."
"Will do!" Elsa yawned. "Night, you two!"
Then the call ended. I put my phone on charge with my left hand then got up.
"Coming, Scarlet?" I asked.
"Of course," said Scarlet. "I need my medication too!"
I nodded and we set off downstairs. Shelby galloped after us.
