Chapter 28: Now what?

Annabelle's POV:

I sat there in mine and Raven's room, doing my homework for our Maths teacher. I tapped away at my braille machine and winced as the bell made a tinging noise to indicate the end of the line. Raven was handwriting beside me.

"Sorry," I said. "Is that annoying you, Rave?"

Raven shook her head. "All those days when Kyla worked at City Poem and I had to stay with her. Those machines were going off everywhere. It doesn't bother me!"

I shrugged and carried on. Then there was a tap on the door.

"I'll check," said Raven getting up.

She wondered to the door and opened it. Button stood there, whining.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Hey, Button," said Raven kneeling beside the Husky cross. "Is things okay? How come you aren't in Glacier and Elsa's room?"

Button looked sad. Her tail was tucked between her legs.

"Bring her in, Raven!" I suggested.

Raven gently led the dog into our room. The poor thing was somehow crying.

"Nothing's happened?" I asked.

Then there was a frantic knock on the door.

"Come in?" Raven let Button go.

The door flew open and Scarlet and Elsa stood there. Elsa looked close to crying. What's happened?

"Has something happened to Glacier?" Raven asked.

Elsa didn't reply. Scarlet looked at us both.

"Glacier's fine," she said. "Just had to go to hospital!"

I gasped. "She didn't!"

"Anna," said Raven noticing Elsa was about to burst. "Not right now!"

"Luna got there in time," said Scarlet, comforting Elsa. "She'll be okay."

"I thought she left it at home." Sniffled Elsa. "I told her to do it!"

"Poor girl was stressed," said Raven joining them. "She'll be okay!"

"She didn't eat," I said. "I knew she wasn't right! I know that side of Glacier, too!"

I joined the other girls and we all hugged.

"I wondered what made her feel this way," said Raven. "Poor Glacier!"

Elsa stared at us both.

"I don't want to loose her," she sniffled.

"Els," said Scarlet. "We won't. We got there in time. Arianna took her straight to hospital to be monitored."

"I knew leaving her was a bad idea!" Sniffled Elsa. "She was waiting for us to go!"

"We weren't that long!" Scarlet told her. "We got there in time!"

But Elsa didn't looked convinced.

Later, I was with Elsa and Raven. Scarlet was feeding Shelby and talkiwaking the both dogs out. Elsa looked a bit happier now.

"Told you she'll be okay," said Raven. "We all told you. Right, Anna?"

I nodded.

"She'll be back tonight!" Said Raven. "And Alaska!"

Elsa nodded. "Apparently that didn't go down well for Alaska. She went to talk to Glacier and now both are upset. I think they won't be talking to each other at the moment. David's not happy with Alaska."

"Oh," said Raven. "That's not good!"

I nodded. "Glacier thought the world for Alaska."

"I know," said Elsa. "But twins fight! Siblings fight! I know that feeling."

She went quiet for a bit. Then the door opened and Glacier came in, her arm bandaged. She looked pale.

"Glace!" Said Elsa getting up and running to her.

The girls hugged and Glacier put her head on Elsa's shoulder. Elsa was whispering comforting things to her but I couldn't hear. But it made the older girl relax. Then Elsa lead her to her bed.

"Bed time for you two," she said turning to us. "Don't worry, now! We are all okay!"

"Night," said Raven hugging Elsa and Glacier.

I went over after Raven left the room. Elsa stared at me.

"You aren't going to bed, Anna?" She asked, looking concerned.

"In a moment," I said.

"But it's your bedtime, Anna," said Glacier sounding so groggy. "I'm okay! I promise.

"I know," I said coming to Glacier. "But that triggered something in my head."

"That day at City Poem?" Glacier asked, letting me sit down beside her and Elsa.

"Yeah," I admitted.

"That wasn't your fault, Anna!" Said Glacier. "If anything, it was Freya Johnson's fault."

"Did she get expelled from here?" I asked.

"For hurting me, Anna!" Said Elsa. "Worse than what happened to you the day you got expelled from City Poem!"

"I thought that was harsh," said Glacier. "It should have been Freya. Not you, Anna!"

I sighed. "I'm worried that something bad might happen again!"

"What do you mean?" Asked Elsa.

"Don't know!" I said. "But I just have a bad feeling!"

Glacier just lay down. Elsa shrugged.

"Look, Anna!" She said. "We will talk about it tomorrow! Glacier wants to go to sleep to sleep it all off!"

I nodded. "Okay, night!"

They both said it back and I left the room. I knew that Elsa didn't mean to be bossy to me. But I felt a bit hurt.

A/N:

Here is chapter 28!

Sorry I should have done a trigger warning at the beginning of the chapter. Glacier didn't actually do it! But her depression got the better of her. As Scarlet said, they didn't make it, she would not be there! So good job!

I am sorry if it did trigger anyone! But it does happen to people and I feel it doesn't get picked up enough! I didn't go into detail which I didn't want to do! But that was what happened!

Dispite that, hoped you liked the chapter.

Oh and City Poem is another school that some of our gang of girls went to. Not all at the same time. But near enough!

Chapter 29 will be a positive one, hopefully!

Wolfie out!
