Elisabeth's POV:

I saw that Glacier wasn't happy. Her face showed it all. Scarlet turned to me.

"I'm sure Glacier will be back to normal soon!" She didn't sound sure.

"Well, I don't blame her to feel like this," I admitted. "She didn't know if I would come back! She didn't know I would be shot! I thought that was it for me and Alaska to be honest!"

"Still," said Scarlet, sounding so worried. "She didn't eat! And that often means she's going through shit in her head as we know!"

I nodded. "Here, let me take her for a walk."

Scarlet nodded and put Glacier's hand on my elbow.

"See you girls in our tutor room," she said. "I've got homework to do!"

We nodded and Scarlet walked up the path to the school building. I meanwhile took Glacier to our favourite quiet space.

"What's going on, Honey?" I asked hugging her. "Still worried about things?"

Glacier just buried her head into my shoulder.

"Glacie?" I tried again. "Honey? Talk to me!"

Still nothing. I put both arms round her. Glacier didn't even push me away. She broke down.

"That's it," I said rubbing her back gently. "Let it all go!"

Glacier sobbed. I felt my dress get wet. But I didn't care one bit! She needed it!

It was that evening. Glacier was watching something on her phone. It had audio description on. But I wasn't sure what she was watching because it was in her headphones. It was my idea! Sometimes that calmed her down when she didn't want to talk. Her screen curtain was on so I couldn't see it. But I didn't mind. I wanted to leave her to calm down.

"Nooooooo!" Came a small voice.

Glacier sat up fast!

"Er ... um ... Glacie?" I went over to her.

"Not another character!" Whimpered Glacier.

She paused her movie and put her headphones off her head.

"Are you okay?" I asked, hugging her.

"Why do characters get hurt or killed off?" Asked Glacier sounding annoyed.

"What were you watching?" I asked.

"Homeward Bound two!" Sighed my girlfriend.

I sighed. "I would watch until the end. I'm sure the dogs will meet again!"

I guessed where she was at!

"Oh," said Glacier putting her headphones back on.

Then the movie resumed. I went on my phone and sighed as fifty notifications blew up my phone.

Scarlet was in the room after dinner. She looked very worried.

"Are you girls not talking?" She asked, nodding to Glacier who was watching another movie!

"It's something she does when unhappy!" I explained. "I let her go in her movie world. At least she ate a bit!"

Scarlet nodded. "Come out the room with me!"

I nodded and walked out with Scarlet.

"Where should we go?" I asked.

"Come to my room," said Scarlet. "We won't be heard in there."

"Oh ... Okay?" I questioned as I followed Scarlet into the big room.

Shelby bounded up to me, her tail wagging and looking happy. She looked a bit strange with a shaved patch. Bless her.

"See Shelby made it, too!" I pointed out.

"Yeah," said Scarlet. "But unlike you and Alaska, she only had the one!"

I nodded. "What do you want to talk about?"

"I guess David hasn't told you about Alaska?" Scarlet looked serious.

"No?" I felt confused.

"Don't tell Glacie," said Scarlet quietly. "But Alaska has two types of Cancer."

I gasped. "No! That means she doesn't have long left with us! Poor Glacier! They have only just been reunited. I'm guessing she doesn't know!"

"No," said Scarlet. "And we want it that way. Alaska and David both told me. I thought I would let you know! Do not tell Glacier. We can't!"

I nodded. "We don't!" I agreed. "I promise, Scar. I really do! I've kept secrets before!"

"Good!" Said Scarlet.

She sighed. I petted Shelby.

"Have you seen Raven and Anna?" I asked. "I guess they had homework or something."

"Maybe!" Sighed Scarlet.

I noticed her expression.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Don't know!" Scarlet looked thoughtful. "Maybe finding things like this tricky to understand. I now know what it is to feel like a real orphan, Els! I miss them both! I only knew mother for a year. But daddy lived until this year. I know I have you girls and Maria and Luna. But it doesn't mean I miss my dad!"

I ran to her as she broke down. I really felt for her. Poor Scarlet. She was feeling alone! I knew how that felt. Not so much anymore. But I was like that before.
