Scarlet's POV:

After Luna left my room, I crept to Glacier and Elsa's room and knocked gently on the door. I wasn't sure if Glacier was asleep or not. It was about 8:30 PM.

"Come in?" Came a sleepy response.

I opened the door to see Button cuddled up to Glacier who had woken up from a nap.

"Who is it?" She asked?.

I glanced at her.  The girl was very pale.

"It's Scarlet," I said coming over to her. "Luna wanted me to check on you!"

"Oh, did she?" Glacier sounded so groggy.

"Are you okay?" I asked her.

"I miss them, Scar," sighed my friend. "This is twice now."

I joined her and Button and cuddled them.

"Did you hear about them?" Asked Glacier, sounding a bit hopeful.

"Don't know how to tell you this," I admitted. "But out of the two of them, Elsa got it worse."

"How many bullets?" Asked Glacier.

"Three," I said. "Your dad thought she died."

"She isn't, right?" Glacier asked. "And what about Wolfie?"

"She's not as bad." I found her hand and squeezed it. "I'm sure we will find out news soon, Glace!"

At that point, Glacier's phone rang out. Her voiceover alerted her that it was her dad.

"Here is your phone," I said passing it to her.

Glacier nodded and answered. "Hello?"

"Hey, darling," came David's voice. "Are you okay?"

"Just been for a nap," said Glacier. "But I think so!"

"Is Scarlet there with you?" Asked David. "Am I on loud speaker?"

"Hello, David!" I said. "Yes you are!"

"Are you both alone?" David asked.

"Yes," we both said.

"Well, Button is with us!" I added.

"Ah, that's fine," said David. "I'm guessing Raven and Anna went to bed."

"Yeah," I said.

"Okay," said David. "Guess you want to find out how the girls are doing?"

"Yeah," said Glacier.

"Wolfie is okay," said David. "Very eager to get back."

"Is she awake?" I asked.

"Yes," said David. "But she's with Elsa at the moment. Looking after her."

"Is she awake, dad?" Asked Glacier.

"That's what I was wringing about, darling!" David sounded serious. "Your girlfriend will be okay, Glacier. But she did get hit three times. And she took a heavy blow to the shoulders which browsed her badly. She has to stay in hospital a bit longer."

"As long as she's safe," said Glacier. "That's all that matters to me."

"She is not awake," sighed David. "But she's breathing. We could of been too late if it wasn't for Midnight!"

"Poor Elsa," I said. "But she's in the right hands, Glace."

I saw that Glacier was close to bursting into tears.

"I'm sure Elsa will wake up soon," said David. "But for now she's in a deep sleep."

"Should I get her medication from the nurses, Dad?" Came  Alaska's voice from the phone. "She is twitching like she's having a fit!"

"Shit," said Glacier. "She forgot her medication, dad!"

"Don't worry," said David. "Luna gave me some when I dropped Shelby back."

"Oh," I said. "Is she downstairs?"

"Yes," said David. "But she's groggy, Scarlet darling. She's had medications. But she'll be okay."

"Okay," I said.

"Poor dog," said Glacier. "For only trying to protect us. What horrid bitches."

"Agreed!" I said. "What happened to them?"

"Not sure," said David. "But all I know is that they will be locked up hopefully forever."

"Touch wood," I said tapping the desk."

Glacier tapped her headboard.

"I better let you both go," said David. "Try and get sleep. Wolfie will be back in tomorrow."

"Okay," I said. "I'm looking after Glacier at the moment."

"Brilliant," said David. "See you soon, girls!"

"Night," we said.

Then we hung up. Glacier bit her lip. I noticed that Button wanted to get off the bed to have a drink. Her bowl of water was getting empty.

"Hang on, Glace," I said. "I'm getting water for Button! Then I will be back."

Glacier just nodded. I looked at the dog and petted her head.

"Good girl!" I told her. "Water will be back!"

I collected the bowl and walked out the room.

Soon, I was back in the room. Glacier was standing up. She stumbled up to her wardrobe and opened it. She felt around.

"I really miss them," she said.

"Well, Wolfie's coming back," I said. "Elsa will be okay, also!"

"She should of taken her Epilepsy medication!" Glacier gave out a long sigh. "She was brave though!"

"I know," I said.  "Very brave. Although we did tell them both not to go out there."

"Yeah," sighed Glacier. "But Wolfie is one of those people that will just fight!"

"So is Elsa when she wants to be!"

"Agreed," said Glacier who had found what she wanted.

She walked out the room and went to the bathroom. I sat down with Button who was lapping at the water. The older dog looked like she wanted to go home!

"We can't, girl!" I petted her snout. "In another two weeks."

Button continued to drink, her pink tongue lapping fast.

So it's a sweet chapter in a way! Especially after the last few chapters.

One of her conditions is Epilepsy. That and her Visually Impairment,  is tricky to handle.
