Glacier's POV:

**Ten minutes before**

Bang! We heard the gun, hidden in the bush. Scarlet and Winter held me as I started crying. Elsa could be dead. She shouldn't have taken the bullet. She shouldn't of. I hated mother for this.

**Back to future**

Dad held me gently in his arms. Arianna, Scarlet and Winter stayed with us. Scarlet sounded hopeful when Dad mentioned Luna. I sniffled as he rubbed my back.

"Oh, Glacier," he said.

"Will she die, Dad?" I sobbed into him.

Dad rocked me gently. "She won't. Because of you texting me when you did. I was halfway here, following your mum."

"Oh," I sniffled. "It's a good thing I did then."

Dad sighed, pulling me to him. "Yes, honey. It was lucky."

Sirens reached my ears. That must be the ambulance driving my precious girlfriend away. Or it might be the police taking Clorrissa and Mum away. I hoped it was that. I didn't want to hear their voices and fear them ever again. Dad suddenly tensed up as his phone rang out.

"Hello?" His voice sounded nervous, too.

"Please let her be okay," I whispered under my breath.

Dad was talking for a long time on the phone, handing me over to Arianna who was rocking and massaging my back. She was so gentle. I wanted her as my stepmother. But she was married. She looked across to my dad. Then Scarlet and Winter came over. She let me go and the two girls held me.

"She'll be okay, Glacie," said Scarlet. "I promise."

"We are with you if things go tits up!" Said, Winter.

I giggled a little bit. They both knew how to cheer me up. "I hope Dad's got good news. I think that was the hospital."

Dad came back over. "Good news, girls!"  He sat back down beside us.

"Is she awake, David?" Asked Scarlet hopefully.

Dad looked at us. "She went in a deep coma," he said. "But they have put her in to care of the hospital."

I gulped. "Comas are not fun."

"I'm sure she'll come out of it soon," said Dad gently hugging me. "Just rest, the chance to heal. That girl looks worse than you at the moment. And that's saying something."

I sighed with relief. At least Elsa was safe. Even though she was in a coma.

"Can we visit her?" Winter asked.

"Not until two days," said dad. "The hospital's not letting visitors in yet."

I nodded, understanding what he was saying.

"When can we go exactly?" Scarlet looked hopefully. "I mean, we all can't see her whenever she comes out of her coma. Not naming any names. But her own girlfriend ..."

"... I know," I said giggling a bit. "But at least I know she's alive. That's all I wanted to hear."

They all hugged me. I felt happy again. My mum was put in the place she deserved to be, my girlfriend was safe in the hospital and getting better, and i had very good friends.
