Written Out
Delicate and warm, soft to the touch. His childhood toy would be his greatest treasure.
Growing up Gianni, was a reality show in the 90's all about the Italian Mobster lifestyle. Though if you'd asked any of the offspring, they'd more than likely have a different tale of crime.
Carter, Chad and Cole were the aspiring three sons of Carlos Gianni. The show rarely featured them, but when it did they were made to look like rich spoiled heirs to the Italian's throne.
Carlos enjoyed fast cars, and easy women. His escapades and spending were all the rage. Young men across the pond all wanted his lifestyle! There was a realism to his mafia ties, as he too fell into the power plays of ecstasy in the never ending boss battles in Ledges, Connor's Island.
(Accidental Crier Series)
Carter took on the image of young thug, while Chad became an actor. Leaving Cole to his own devices led by his dimples. He became a model and was to be out of sight and out of mind.
After winning the scholarship, Cole's membership to the family became one of distance. His mother passed, and because he was a splitting image of her, Carlos had to send him away for his own peace of mind.
Written out of the reality show, and sent to proverbial college. As one would do when being written out of the script.
Sent by limo to Keoghan Knots, Cole escaped his father's spotlight, carried with him the never ending money, held onto his personal sorrow and grasped the only element left from his mother.
A glowworm, an 80's nostalgia item that his mama gave him when he was a baby.
Cole arrived on campus, looked around and saw emptiness. Quiet, but not serene.
This was the place you got sent too, if your character didn't matter anymore.
All the other students that he could see resembled a version of himself. Beautiful people, sad eyes and a slumber of acknowledgment that this was where they were placed. On the Isles, reachable by gold card; yet declined with any credit to who they truly were!
Checkered flooring, red cube lockers for the schooling he would endure to full on adulthood. Beyond the red brick walls outside, a sense of sacrifice all around. Inside and out the color red reminds each and everyone of these pupils that they must have courage to one day be themselves.
Cole opens his suite like dorm room. Two beds queen sized along the wall complete with a kitchenette in the middle and a lengthy long wall of dresser and mirror. In each closest space there were the school uniforms, no red in them.
His suitcases were placed on his bed by Queen Ethel's guard, so to speak. He waved good bye and the door shut.
A card lay there for him, welcoming the Gianni to Ethel's.
Cole places his treasure on a shelf, into his closet. A tear runs down his face.
