Final Curtain Call

"The Knot as the men at Queen Ethel's refer to it as, is also a dumping ground for lost souls! When they look around, all they see is how they've been sent here to not be seen nor heard. Each pupil at Queen Ethel's has a story to tell, each man has been directed there by their families or their estate.
Not for their better education, but rather to be twice removed from their surname for whatever reason."

Coach Rayner gave this compelling verse to the reporters the morning the body was found.

The Night before:

Dex awakes from the nerve numbing agent the friends slipped into him. The boat house is where Vessy drove him too.
He looks around and sees his targets all standing there staring at him in disgust.

Margo kneels and says, "thought you had us all fooled, well it was our turn to place the mark on you!"
Dex couldn't stand. Derek steps toward him and removes the wallet from Dex' pocket revealing he knew he'd taken over his financial footprints entrapping him into begging for his own existence. Derek punches him directly in the face breaking Dex's nose.

Issac comes over from sitting to the side looking through the Soprano book. He hands the book to Cole, out of Dex's sight.
You played on our loneliness and carved your way into our world to what? Kill our souls by reaching into our private strings of our hearts and exposing them? Like my journal and my mother's grief?

"You fucked me and then embarrassed me into public ridicule forcing my friends, and Derek to cut me out! It's our turn now you sick fuck!" Margo says with hatred in her emotion.

Eric walks up behind him and begins dosing Dex in gasoline. Everyone steps back not to get their fine dress clothes dampened. Dex begins to choke on the taste and disgust of the flammable.
You set our lives on fucking fire and bombed out each of our weaknesses! You'll burn in hell for what you did to May you degenerate!

Soaked in gasoline and panicked, his crafted shell of a demeanor cracks as though he'd already entered his own kiln.

Vessy brings over a paper and pen which is the sole rights to the club and makes Dex sign them. Vessy then pushes the wall over exposing Cole sitting there smoking a cigarette.

Candles all around him, he leans his head up to accept a delicate tongue on tongue kiss from his boyfriend Vessy!

Dex could do nothing but watch and shake!

"Oh the horror hey Dex or should I say Audi!
(He blows cigarette smoke in Dex' face as he approaches sleekly)
It was when you were the only one to come see me in the burn unit that I knew. I knew my boyfriend (grabbing Vessy by the scruff of his neck) wouldn't not come for me!

Your gig was up right there. So Margo helped us all plan your big stage moment.
The picture shows us as all friends, your final bow.
You did a lot of damage and it's because you're sick and mentally disturbed Audi Marsh.

This book? Your obsession with me is truly fucked! I'm disgusted for you! You wanted me so bad, that you killed your family and tried to kill mine to what??? Have sex with me. Lay your head next to mine as I plotted this very moment every single night waiting for this public party to enhance your exit!

Every night I texted Vessy and laughed about you!
Your weak. You're pathetic and stupidly selfish. Well fire bug, it's time for your grand exit!"

Doug starts removing some things around the boathouse.
Each man spits on Dex as they leave him smothered in fuel.
Margo pauses and faces Dex.

He apologizes to her with a whimper in his voice. She looks over at Cole and points to him and says you should be apologizing to your muse. I hope they dismember pieces of you bit by bit in a slow manner in hell.
She kicks him over on his side.

Cole exhales while picking up his soprano book. Dex stares in awe and audacity with a glitter of his father trembling through his bones. His curtain call of the performance he brilliantly gave all flashes in that moment.

Cole drops his cigarette and the fire begins.
He also knocks over the table of candles and the fire erupts.

He joins his friends in their finest gowns as Doug closes the boat house doors trapping Audi in.

They all watch in the silence of the night as the boat house blazes itself into ruin and falls into the sea.

No fire trucks. No sirens. The boathouse and Dex burned away in the waters. A problem for tomorrow.

Later as Derek walks the nights cape he feels not so alone.
He looks up and is horrified to see Cole standing there in the shadow box of the dumpster by the cafeteria. Knife in hand, tear stained face and shook with terror at Derek's gaze.

Margo's throat was slip wide open as her body lay gushing ichor as though a scythes ripped through her every fibre. The white laced gown now red.

The soprano book flitters a page as though a wind ran through the darkness and damp.
