Epilogue

Six months later

"One specialty drink."

Lennox grinned, grabbing her frozen drink and taking a sip. Chocolate and caramel. "Delicious, as always. I kind of expected some fruit."

Levi laughed, pecking her on the cheek before sitting across from her. Faith sipped her ice coffee and smiled at the couple.

You guys are soul mates.

Lennox just shook her head at her friend and drank more from her delicious coffee.

"I still can't believe Isla's out on parol," Levi scoffed. "She deserved to do the time. She cut you, Len."

She placed her hand over his. "Look. I'm done dwelling on the past. I'm fine. I don't even have a scar. Just appreciate life. And coffee. Oh wait," she smirked, tapping his cup of tea playfully. She scrunched up her nose. "You only drink tea. What a party pooper."

"Yeah, but I make amazing coffee. If you don't agree-" he reached for her coffee.

She swatted his hand away and took a nice, long gulp. "Never. Touch. My. Coffee."

Faith watched them with a smile on her face. She glanced down at her phone every now and then, and Lennox knew it was the student that had transferred to their school a few months back. Faith wanted to take the dating game slow after Trey, but she was trying. If not, he could just be a friend, and she was okay with that. Most importantly, he passed the Lennox and Levi test. That is, Lennox didn't want to punch him and Levi bonded with him over herbal teas.

Hey, guys, Faith signed, there's a party tonight. It's hosted by some senior from our school. Want to go?

Lennox found herself nodding. "Parties are fun. I did met Chad at the last one, so I need to replace that with a fresher, happier party memory."

"I'm going if Lennox is," Levi said.

She rolled her eyes at him.

I'm in, too.

Lennox glanced at the two people with her and felt like the luckiest girl in the world. Levi, with his amazing smile and killer coffee-scented hugs. Faith, with her gentle nature and heart full of gold. She wouldn't trade them for the world.

She took a long gulp of her coffee. Life wasn't perfect, but it was good. She wasn't great yet, but she was okay. She was getting there.

____

I'm super bad at epilogues, so this one is short.

It's officially over. I'm really proud of what this book has become. It's kind of short in novel terms at 51359 words, but I'm proud of it. It's another novel under my belt. Fun fact, Lennox was inspired by a colder part of myself. This summer I was thinking of how I was so done with people and how I wanted to go into my new school with just myself. That didn't happen for me, just like Lennox didn't stay alone forever. Obviously, this isn't a true story. This is straight from my imagination. However, it's inspired by a true feelings. Lennox and I are two completely different people, and I'm also still single lol. Still, I feel like I learned so much from her.

This novel was the first I truly planned from beginning to end, and where I planned significant plot points and tried to detail characters a lot. This began to stray from the outline while I wrote, but the skeleton is the same. I also learned that I shouldn't outline on paper because what happens when I leave my house? Or I'm too lazy to get the paper? Or I can't read my writing?

Thank you guys so much for supporting Give Me A Sign. I posted this as a first chapter I was just trying on here. I didn't even have a title. Someone made me a cover and came up with a title, and people showered it with love. I lost my way a few times, but I knew I had to finish Lennox's story for you guys. Your support helped me to not give up when I hit pretty bad writer's block or this story and wanted to give up.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, dear reader. Especially if you read all my rambling because you're the real mvp. Check out my other works. Glimpsing Stars is now my only book that's in progress, but I'm thinking of writing the third book of the Removed series next, but I'm not sure.

Okay, the author's note is almost as long as the chapter. No, it is? I think? Byeee.
