The First Date
Castiel was greeted early that morning with a severe case of sickness and a nosebleed that wouldn't stop for several minutes. Not to mention, he finally tied a bandana around his head, having lost all his hair a few days after he got out of the hospital. All in all, he figured it was going to be a terrible day.
But, even he could not expect walking down the stairs that morning to see Dean sitting at his kitchen table, chewing on a sausage and chatting happily with Castiel's father. Chuck looked up at his son, smiling at him as he walked in.
"Feeling better this morning?" Chuck asked, and Castiel felt his cheeks burn as he realized that his illness had woken his father up that morning. He nodded, feeling a bit sullen as he took a shy place beside Dean, glancing at the boy out of the corner of his eyes.
"So, what's going on?" Castiel asked, not looking at Dean. He didn't know why, he just felt incredibly shy around the boy at the moment. Maybe his mood switches were getting the better of him.
"Oh, we're just discussing where Dean is taking you on you guys first date." Chuck said casually, making Castiel blush brightly, furrowing his eyebrows.
"W-what?" Castiel responded, glancing at Dean to see the boy was blushing as well. It was then that he noticed that Dean was in a t-shirt and jeans, not his usual plaid and leather jacket. His heart rushed, and he looked down at the table. "...Where will we be going then?" Castiel responded after a moment of silence, his hands rubbing over his thighs.
"It'll be a surprise." Dean said, a cheeky smile crossing over when Castiel looked at him. Castiel couldn't help but smile as well, feeling Dean's hand slide into his own and squeezing gently. "But I'll promise you will enjoy it."
"Well, I'll trust you then, Dean." Castiel mumbled shyly, smiling softly and glancing at his father as if asking for permission. Chuck grinned and chuckled, standing up and taking his plate to the sink.
"Have fun, Castiel. Don't be out too late." Chuck said, shaking his head in amusement. Castiel grinned and stood up, hesitantly releasing Dean's hand.
"I'm going to go get dressed. I'll be right back." Castiel said, his excitement making him forget how bad he had felt this morning. After all, Dean always managed to make him smile.
"Where something you don't mind getting dirty." Dean said with a soft smile, sipping on a glass of coke as Castiel hurried up the stairs.

The Impala was comforting to Castiel as he slipped into it, looking around the vehicle that Dean had talked so fondly about in his visits. Sitting in it now made Castiel feel like the luckiest person alive, to be able to say that they got to meet 'Baby' as Dean called her.
"She's beautiful." Castiel said, letting his fingertips run over the dash before looking over at Dean, who had a prideful grin on his face at the Novak's compliment. He switched on the engine, putting the car in reverse before he spoke.
"I'm glad you like her. She's the best car in the world." Dean said affectionately before pulling out of the Novak house driveway and heading down the road. Castiel smiled at Dean's obvious love for the car, leaning his head back slightly and looking out the window.
There was a moment of silence before Castiel spoke, his voice soft and almost shy. "So....our first date?" He commented, glancing over and seeing Dean blush slightly.
"Uh...yeah. I thought it would be nice to finally go out." Dean grunted, trying to hide his blush with a gruffness to his voice. Castiel thought it was adorable how cute Dean was when he was trying to hide his embarrassment. "Anyways, we're here."
Castiel looked up, not realizing that they had stopped. His gaze fell on a small splash park, a fountain rising up and splashing some people below. Beyond that, there was risen walls with waterfalls, sprinklers, and other assortments of getting people wet. Castiel smiled, looking over at Dean, who had a sheepish look on his face.
"I know sitting down the entire date would drive you crazy, so I thought I could take you somewhere you can burn off some steam." Dean explained, rubbing the back of his neck slightly. "Chuck said you would like it, so..."
Castiel leaned over, unable to stop himself for planting a soft kiss on Dean's cheek. "I love it." Castiel responded, blushing himself as he pulled back. "Thank you for bringing me here."
Dean smiled, his cheekiness showing through and making Castiel's heart flutter. "Let's go then. It's too hot to stay in here the entire time." Dean said before opening the door and stepping out. Castiel followed suite, enjoying the breeze that brushed the back of his neck.
He joined Dean, and they walked into the park, letting the mist of water cool them down as they moved down the damp sidewalk. Dean grinned, taking Castiel's hand and dragging him forwards, just in time for a small stream to shoot from a hole in the sidewalk and hitting Castiel right in the butt.
"Oh, that is cold!" Castiel squealed, jumping out of the stream and patting his now soaked jeans. He shot a playful glare at Dean, who was laughing at the Novak. Castiel placed his hands on Dean's chest, pushing him and forcing him back a few steps.
"Take that assbutt!" Castiel said, his own laughter escaping his lips as Dean got hit right in the crotch, making the Winchester curse about the coldness and grip his pants. Castiel took a couple steps away to make sure that Dean didn't go for revenge and smirked.
"Assbutt? What kind of insult is that?" Dean asked when he finally got over the initial coldness, looking at the Novak in amusement. Castiel blushed, sticking his tongue out at the Winchester.
"It's my insult." Castiel said cheekily before turning away. He started walking, smiling as he felt Dean slide an arm around him, wrinkling his nose at the feeling of his pants sticking to his butt.
It was only a moment when he forgot about his pants, growing excited as he saw one of the waterfalls to their left. He tugged at Dean's shirt gently, hurrying forwards and sticking his hand under the spray, letting the droplets fleck his clothes and shirt.
"You like waterfalls, huh?" Dean said, standing beside Castiel and smiling at him. Castiel nodded, tugging his bandanna back in place as he smiled.
"They're so peaceful and beautiful. I love them as much as I love bees." Castiel said, allowing more of his arms to be enveloped by the water. Dean arched one eyebrow, a look of confusion coming over his face.
"Bees?" Dean asked, sliding his hand up and letting the tips of his fingers touch the water. Castiel nodded, grinning at Dean.
"Yeah, they're my favorite animal, so peaceful and smart." Castiel said, smiling to himself. "They really like me too, always following me and hanging around. I guess they know I'm sick and want me to feel better."
Dean's expression fell into one of compassion, and he leaned forwards, wrapping his arms around Castiel in a gentle hug. "You'll be fine, so don't worry about a thing." Dean said, kissing Castiel gently, his movements almost shy.
Castiel blushed, ducking his head against Dean's neck as soon as they broke the kiss, unable to stop from grinning like an idiot. "Alright Dean." Castiel mumbled, glancing up at Dean. There was a moment of silence before Dean got a wicked grin on his face, making Castiel suspicious.
"Dean, what are you-" Castiel started to say, only to cut off with a yelp as Dean dragged the both of them under the waterfall, instantly drenching them. Castiel shivered, but he found himself grinning as he struggled to escape Dean's grasp, laughing.
When they both got out of the waterfall, Castiel looked at Dean, droplets falling in a steady stream from his nose. "Rude." Castiel said, though it only made Dean laugh, shaking his head and letting water fly from his hair.

"Sorry, I forgot you get cold easy." Dean said, holding Castiel in his arms as they sat back at the Novak's house. They had played until Castiel's lips had turned blue, then hurried back to change into dry clothes. Of course, Castiel's clothes were a bit snug on Dean, but they worked for the moment.
Castiel snuggled closer to Dean, his chattering finally slowing to a halt as he curled under the blankets and Dean's warmth. "I'm fine." He responded, his toes feeling like ice. "I had too much fun to care if I got cold. Thank you for taking me."
"You're welcome." Dean said, resting his head on top of Castiel's, the soft fabric of the bandanna brushing his cheek. They laid there for who knows how long, but Castiel couldn't care less.
This was the best day he had ever had.
