In 2069, after the second incident of Coalescence in Zulrich. Vladimir Zakhaev, Gregory Marcell and White Forest Mercenaries unleashed a zombie outbreak in Augsburg, Germany (Democratic Republic Germany) by unleashing a vial of Aetherium after discovering a hidden room containing the vials. Shortly After. the World shock, seeing Augsburg was now Quaratine zone, the gas cover with purple, it confirms it was not a ELID disease, something new. Eventually, Operation Kraut Deadzone was established overnight in response to the threat just like Zaravan, Urzikstan. Special Security officer, Sora Straut callsign Millenium was placed in charge of the operation. While picking recruits for the newly formed response unit, Millenium was recommended by his CIA colleagues, Maxwell Mcknight, Jack Mason and Cole Woods to choose Will Shaun, the father of callsign Raptor and former member of Requiem who has had past dealings with similar undead incursions. Despite the complete lack of background information on Will Shaun's father story, Millenium was told to trust the recommendation.

Roughly three weeks after the outbreak started, Deadzone accured several additional members: Captain Li "Fire" Xyu, the former Chinese air force and who handles infiltration and exfiltration; Captain Martin "Wave" Scarsh, who provides drone reconnaissance, Color Sergeant Sunak "Tiger" Prayaga the last Indian-American, who provides mechanical expertise. Colonel Rachel Deckward, who handles requisitions; Doctor Burno Farrel, a Federation Doctor, who studies Dark Aether creatures and phenomenal and Yuri "Wolf" Orelov, who handles field operations. In addition, a strike team of every major PMC and agency, G.H.O.S.T, Griffin and Kryuger, StateSec and Stasi also employed to carry out various mission in the Agusburg exclusion zone to assist other Deadzone members. After receiving a briefing from McKnight, the strike team deployed in Agusburg for the first time alongside Yuri, his Konni team and Will Shaun.
