Plot: Metal Gear Sahelanthropus, developed by Huey Emmerich in Afghanistan. The Soviet Union financed and supplied resources for the project, leading Huey to believe he was working for the Soviets rather than Cipher. It was stored in previously Soviet-controlled hanger behind the Serak Power plant for most of its development but was occasionally moved to OKB Zero as well. Due to its rushed development, the design of Sahelanthropus could not allow other than a child to man the vehicle as the cockpit was meant to house an AI Pod instead. This resulted in a falling out between Hey and Strangelove, as he decide to use his toddler son, Hal as a guinea pig to test the machine, something the latter vehemently disagreed with. Though, Skull face planned to use Sahelanthropus as a marketing tool in his grand scheme of arming the entire world with nuclear weaponry. The threat of Sahelanthropus's destruction capabilities would be made known to the world, sending them into panic and forcing them to get their hands on nuclear weapon to defend against the powerful new technology. 

In 1984, Sahelanthropus was destroyed by Venom Snake also known as Big Boss. After that, many Sahelanthropus many fragments were then retrieved by Diamond dogs, being airlifted by several heavy lift helicopters off the island.

In 21st Century 2060, Unknown faction (Outer Heaven) led by Rogue S T-Doll EX1 (Hendricks) discovered the blueprints of Metal Gear Sahelanthropus originated in Soviet Union. EX1 use the Metal Gear as new weapon to turn against Countries including turning against FDM, KCCO and Paradeous in the future. Some countries developed Assault Artiliery was very useful while few developed Metal Gear such as MGX T-Rex a successor to MG Rex original form operated by G.H.O.S.T PMC and Security company while Outer Heaven operated Metal Gear, Sahelanthropus and Ray. 

Despite that, Assault Artillery were the size than humans to operate the Assault Artillery mech while Metal Gear use to be large and bigger than Assault Artillery from every countries
