penelope & derek when ....

You were rushed to the hospital. You were in the field, the team had to split up so it was just you and jj. You two heard a noise but didn't know which way it was coming from, so you two split up. Little did you know, that decision would cause pain and blurry vision.

You and penelope are very close. She was the first one to actually make you feel welcomed when you first joined, which is why this is so hard for her.

"You got to understand, y/n's in critical condition. They may not even know what's going on." Derek told penelope as they rushed to your room.

Once they got there, derek left her alone with you. You were laying on the bed with your eyes closed, while breathing through a tube. Penelope went and sat by your bed, holding your hand.

A few moments later, jj walked in, "I shouldn't have left them alone."

"It's not your fault... we need to catch this son of a bitch." Penelope, had anger in her voice as she looked up at jj.
