AT THE SAME TIME

AT MICHAEL'S POV:

My name is Michael and my life is nice right now. I live in a big town in America. I think that it started to get boring. It's not like I get a chance to do something interesting every day. It is like I am doing the same thing over and over again. It seems that it is going to take a while for me to have or enjoy a more interesting life.

After I finished my studies and I became 23 it was time for me to find out something more interesting to do.

-Are you okay, buddy? You don't look happy at all.-One of my coworkers said.

-I am fine.-I said.

-You know I can tell when you are lying?-He said.

I knew that he was right. Some of the other teammates disliked him for this reason, and for me, it seemed quite cool.

-Fine. You got me. I think that my life has become quite boring here.-I said. -I got everything that I wanted.

-Why was there something like that? I thought you like your current life.-He asked.

-I mean, since I have finished my studies, I was doing the same thing over and over again.-I said.

He looked at me and sighed. I do think that he understood that I was right about it. I wanted to do something more than just live here.

-I think I am going to leave for another place. -I said.

-What do you mean by that? You are quitting your job?-He asked.

-Indeed I am.-I said and smiled.

-You are crazy, Michael, but I am going to support you.-He said.- I hope that you will find your happiness there.

I smiled at him and wrote down my resignation letter. It was time for me to start a better life, and I was not going to waste it.

As soon as I got home with my things, I started thinking about where I wanted to go. It should get going. I was looking on the internet and found a pretty nice job offer. It does not pay much, but it's not a big town. So it seems that I have found a new place to live. It sounds like a perfect place for a new start.

AFTER A MONTH
AT MICHAEL'S POV:
It was already one month, and I had finally arrived here. A plane ride was pretty long. Even tho I am a rich person, and sometimes airports are pretty good things to travel. I do feel pretty happy about it. This town is called Hallow, and I sort of like this name. It sounds a bit mysterious, and it makes it sound more interesting.

-Welcome to the Hallow.-A man said.

He is an old looking man, and it seems that he has been local here for quite some time.

-I am happy to be here.-I said and smiled.

-This town came to live about 100 years ago, and we love this place. I am so happy that someone like you has decided to work here.-A a man said.

-I wanted to escape from living in a huge town, so I think that is a great opportunity for me.-I said and smiled.

-Tomorrow starts the Autumn season, and let me tell you that this place looks even more beautiful in Autumn.-He said.

-I can't wait to see it.-I said.

-We will give you a small wooden house close to the center since you were asking to rent a place that is not too loud.-He said.

-Who are you as a worker here?-I asked.

-As much as it is hard to believe I am a mayor here.-He said.-My name is Adrian.

-Nice to meet you, Adrian.-I said I am Michael, but you may call me Mike.

-I ask one of my workers to show you around the village later as soon as you put your things at your home.-Adrian said.

-Sure thing.-I said and nodded.
I watched how he took me to my new home, and I smiled. It was a small wooden house, but it looked pretty nice. I do like it, and it looks really simple.

-Here you go.-Adrian said, and I nodded.

-I'll meet you at the town center in a few hours.-I said and went inside with my luggage.

I looked around and noticed that this place was simple but had a pretty nice style. I do like it.
I unpacked my things, and it seemed that this house had enough place for everything to keep. It is a lot of smaller than my actual home, but I like this place. So I finished that and left for the town center.

At the center, I saw Adrian and a woman waiting for me.

-She is Zoe, and she will show you around.-He said.

-Nice to meet you. It's glad that we have you here.-Zoe said.

-Of course.-I said and smiled.

I smiled and followed her when she started to show me around. This town seems small but has everything you might need: a post office, cafe, shop, police, a small hospital, and other things.I am really impressed by this place. I like it here so far.

-If you have some questions, you can ask me.-She said.

-I do like it here, but I was wondering why my help needs here.-I said.

-It is because it's hard with finances no matter that we have places to make food, store it and even sell it to other spots. In your resume, you seemed like a smart person, and we need someone like that right now.-Zoe said.

-It seems that I am going to help you fix this. However, I was working in a hospital before I finished this, so if you need a bit of advice or something, you may ask me.-I said.

-It is so nice of you. Thanks.-Zoe said, and I nodded.

I nodded and smiled. It is not like I was going to tell her that I was not the family's favorite child and had to earn everything on my own.

-Come to this address tomorrow, and you may start your shift.-Zoe said and left.

It seems that I am starting my job soon. I wanted a different job than my big money previous one, but I do not mind using some of those skills to help them. I like this town, and people seem to like me since they don't know the real me. I think that I am going to enjoy living here. This town is a perfect place to run away from my past. Time to start my new life.
