The five friends drove down the road passing by zombies, as they were doing this they all thought about how things were before the outbreak.

"Man thing's used to be much more peaceful here, and the only thing you had to worry about here was a shitty neighbor." Jack commented.

"Yeah now it's just a deserted town full of zombies." Chris said sadly.

"... And we don't even know if there's anyone else, but us left." Ron said sadly while looking out the window.

Rina looked down sadly wondering if her parents were still even alive, but she only thought that for two seconds before shaking it off.

'No my parents have to be alive. They just have to be.' She thought to herself.

"Hey Rina you alright?" Lee asked, noticing the worried look on her face.

"Huh? Oh yeah I'm fine, just thinking about my parents." Rina explained.

"Aren't we all?" Ron asked while leaning on the driver's seat.

Rina then looked up at him and he smiled and waved at her. She just smiled and waved back before focusing back on the road.

"Ron please sit back down, and don't distract the driver." Rina asked.

"Okay I won't, sorry about that Rina." Ron said before sitting back down.

"... Hey Lee, where were you and the other's when this whole mess happened?" Rina asked.

Lee paused for a sec before explaining "We were at our school's basketball tournament."

"Huh? Never played that sport before." Rina said.

"We can show you how to play when we can." Chris offered.

"Thanks, I'll think about it, but Lee please continue with the story." Rina said.

"Actually Me and my bro here can tell you how it started at our school" Jack explained.

Rina then looked into the rearview mirror and saw Jack with a sad look on his face. She gave him a nod and he started explaining what happened.

"It was the last round of the game. I had to take a piss and Chris was thirsty so we took a quick break to go do what we had to do." Jack explained.

"As Jack was in the bathroom I took a look outside the door's as the area where the bathroom and vending machine was near the front of the school, and I saw someone, a man and he was acting off." Chris explained.

"Really what did you two do about him?" Rina asked.

"Well after I was done in the toilet me and Chris decided to go get out the coach and a teacher to see if they could deal with the man. When we came back he was still there. At first we thought he was just some guy high on something, but when the coach grabbed onto the guy's shirt and was trying to intimidate him the guy just tore his arm open like a freshly cooked chicken." Jack said while cringing at the gruesome image that's stuck in his head.

Chris patted his brother on the shoulder before continuing on with the story "After that the other teacher we were with tried to tend to his arm, but he turned into a zombie in a matter of seconds. Me and my bro here would've tried to do something to keep them from spreading the virus further, but we didn't have any weapons. So we decided to go and try to alert the rest of the school about what we saw. However no one believed us... then the principal came onto the intercom and tried telling us about what was going on. Then she got attacked and the whole school went to hell after that and I hardly remember anything." Chris explained sadly as he shuttered at the memory.

"I'm sorry to hear that, you two don't need to tell me anymore. I'm just glad that you made it out alive." Rina explained before focusing back on the road.

"Yeah, but not a lot of other people got that Lucky, like Ron's parents." Lee explained.

Rina then looked to Lee and asked "What happened to them?"

"They were trying to save us, but got attacked by a horde of zombies and the three of us saw them get eaten alive." Lee said sadly as he looked back to his best friend who looked upset by hearing that.

"Oh... Oh I'm so sorry about that, forget I asked anything." Rina tried to dismiss what was said.

"No Rina it's alright, you don't need to apologize, this mess isn't your fault. It's the person who made this stupid virus." Ron reassured Rina.

Rina looked into her rearview mirror and saw Ron looking at it with a reassuring look. She smiled at it and continued on driving down the road back to her house.

Just then the car suddenly stopped surprising everyone and making them panic as they were out in the open.

"Rina! What the hell! Why did you stop!" Lee angrily demanded to know.

"I didn't stop, look!" Rina pointed to the gas monitor and they all saw that it was now empty.

"Oh god dammit!" Jack screamed angrily.

"Relax I thought about something like this happening so I packed a gas canister in the trunk. I'll go out and get it and be back before you all know it." Rina explained as she unbuckled her seatbelt and got out of the car.

Ron then opened up his door and out of the car with Rina, this confused her as she thought he'd stay in it as it was safe there.

"Ron, why are you coming out here with me?" Rina asked.

"I can't just let you be out here alone, you're gonna need someone to look out for a zombie." Ron explained.

Rina hummed for a moment before saying "Alright you can be my look out while I'm refilling the take."

Ron smiled and nodded before him and Rina went up to the trunk and popped it open. They were then met with a rather confusing and disturbing sight. There was a but ass naked girl in the trunk sleeping in it like it was a bird's nest.

Both Rina and Ron were unnerved when they saw her as they didn't even know how she got in the trunk in the first place. Another question they were asking themselves was, why in the world is she naked, and where did she come from?

The girl then opened her eye's and they saw that her iris was bright red like Rina's eye. She then looked up at the two of them, when she looked at Rina and saw her eyes the girls face lit up with joy. She then jumped out of the trunk and tackled Rina in a big hug, and she accidentally flashed her ass to Ron giving him a nosebleed as a result. Ron then turned his head away from the girl as his mother told him it was rude to look at a girl's naked body unless he was dating that girl.

"Ahh! Hey! Who the hell are you?! And why were you asleep in my car's trunk?!" Rina demands to know as the girl nuzzled her.

The girl didn't respond and just kept on cuddling her, this was making her rather uncomfortable as she didn't even know this girl and she was sleeping in her car without her knowledge completely naked.

"Okay that's enough hugging ma'am. Now who are you and why were you in my car?" Rina asked in a demanding tone.

The girl just looked at her with a relieved expression on her face that was making Rina very confused.

"Um, are you going to say something or just stare at me?" Rina asked.

The girl then stood up and helped Rina up as well, the two then looked at each other and the unknown girl smiled warmly at Rina.

"... um well if you're going to be with us you might wanna put on some clothes." Rina said before reaching in the car and pulling a duffle bag forward, opening it up and pulling out some extra clothes she thankfully packed up.

Rina then pulled out some undergarments, a tank-top, shorts, and handed them over to the girl.

"Here put this on while I refill the gas tank." Rina said as the girl took the clothes and looked at them curiously.

'Who the hell is this girl and why the hell was she in my car?' Rina asked herself in her head.

The girl smiled and nodded, she then started putting the clothes on and looked relatively happy while doing so. Rina then got the gas canister, opened up her car's gas tank and started to refuel it. After a while she was done with it so she closed the gas tank and put the canister back into the trunk. When she was done with that she called out to Ron and the other girl letting them know that they have to get in the car before more zombies show up.

"Um Rina, you sure it's a good idea to have this girl come with us?" Ron asked as he looked at her.

"Well we can't just leave her out here, she'll become zombie chow otherwise." Rina explained.

"Okay, but we gotta call her something instead of the girl, it sounds rude." Ron explained.

"Hmm, how about Beth?" Rina asked.

"Hmm you know that suits her." Ron said.

"Alright then, I'll let her know that." Rina said before going to the girl and tapping her shoulder.

The girl turned around and looked at Rina with the same curious look as before.

"Hey listen, sense your not telling us your real name we're going to give you a nickname is that alright?" Rina asked and the girl nodded excitedly.

"Alright then we'll call you Beth is that alright?" Rina asked.

Beth's eye's lit up with pure joy and she nodded so fast Rina thought her head was going to pop off soon. The girl then jumped up and hugged Rina again, almost making him fall over, but thankfully Ron was able to catch them. Beth soon let go of Rina and she smiled brightly as they all got back into the car.

When they got into the car Lee, Jack, and Chris were all confused when they saw a new girl get into the car.

"Um Rina, Ron who's this?" Lee asked.

"Yeah I don't remember a girl being with us." Chris said as he scooted over to make room for her.

"And more importantly... is she single." Jack asked before Chris wacked him over the head for the stupid question.

"Well we're calling her Beth as she didn't really tell us her name, and she was in my trunk for some reason and was naked." Rina explained.

"Wait what?" Lee was surprised by what Rina asked.

"Why the hell was she in there and why was she not decent?" Chris asked.

"I don't know, but because it's not safe out here she'll be coming with us." Rina explained.

"Well I'm just fine with that. Hello Beth I'm Jack and this is my twin brother Chris, it's nice to meet such a lovely lady like you." Jack said as he offered his hand to Beth.

Beth smiled and gripped his hand tightly and shook it so hard that it was hurting him. She soon let go and Jack held his hand while cringing in pain and saying "Well I see you have quite the grip Beth."

Beth smiled, taking the compliment before resting herself right in the mirror where she could see Rina. She happily watched Rina like she was something she was looking for for a long time now.

Ron had a feeling that something about Beth wasn't right, and not just the fact she was sleeping in the car trunk naked, but that there wasn't something human about her. However he just shrugged it off thinking he was just being paranoid due to their current situation. Nothing was really human anymore. Especially that thing they all found in the laboratory certainly wasn't human, so he just sat back as Rina drove the car back to the house.

(Later at the house)

Lucy was sitting out on the front porch waiting for Rina and the other's to get back. Janet then came out of the house and saw little Lucy sitting there clutching onto her doll.

"Hey Lucy, are you alright?" Janet asked.

"Yeah I'm just worried about the others, they should've been back by now... what if one of those monsters got to them first?" Lucy asked, full of dread.

Janet then crouched down and put her hand on Lucy's shoulders and said "I'm sure they're fine Lucy. Rina looked incredibly tough so I'm sure they'll be fine."

Lucy looked down and said "I know, but I just don't want to lose Rina or the others. Rina's all I have left now, *sniff* now that... dad is gone and I don't even know where Rina is." Lucy explained.

Janet saw that Lucy was about to cry so she wrapped her arms around little Lucy and let her settle in her arms. As they were sitting there Janet heard a car engine coming up to them and when she looked she saw the headlights of Rina's car coming up to them.

"Lucy look! It's their back!" Janet exclaimed and pointed to the entrance.

Lucy looked and her eye's lit up as she saw the car coming up to them, so she and Janet ran up to the gate to open it up so they'll be able to get inside. After the car got into the fence Janet and Lucy closed the gate and locked it again. The two then went up to the car and helped their friends and new recruits out of the car.

"Hey Janet, Hey Lucy how have you two been?" Rina asked.

"We're doing great and I'm getting some ingredients out for a delicious chicken dinner tonight as a celebration for any survivors, and you guys were able to find three survivors, then that's wonderful... wait OMG! Jack Chris! You're both alive!?" Janet exclaimed, surprised to see the par alright.

"Yeah we are, and it's good to see that you're alright as well Janet." Chris explained.

"Yeah and hey who's this little girl?" Jack asked while looking at Lucy.

"My name is Lucy, and it's nice to meet you." Lucy said while waving.

"Nice to meet you, kid, and did you say that you were making chicken? Awesome! I haven't had a good meal in two days!" Jack exclaimed.

"Yeah and *sniff-sniff* based on how you two smell you both haven't showered in that time as well." Janet commented while holding her nose as the two boys stunk.

"Yeah well when you're in the midst of a zombie apocalypse you gotta sometimes ditch hygiene and just survive." Chris explained.

"Well we got fresh water, plenty of food, and medicine so you two can freshen up and eat up while you're here." Rina explained.

"Hey, Um Rina, who's that girl?" Janet asked, noticing Beth as she just came out of the car.

"Oh that's Beth me and Ron found here sleeping in my car trunk, and before you say, yes I know it must be bad news, but I couldn't just leave her out there to die, and besides she hasn't shown any signs of aggression so I believe she's not a threat." Rina explained.

"Okay well if you say so Rina." Janet said and looked back at Beth noticing she was now crawling on the ground looking for something.

Janet went up to Beth and noticed she was pounding on the ground looking for something and soon Beth grabbed onto a worm and pulled it out. Janet watched as Beth examined the worm with child-like amusement before holding up her mouth. Janet then quickly slapped the work out of Beth's hand and when she did Beth looked at her with a sad look like a child who was just denied a tasty snack.

"Beth you can't eat that I'm cooking a meal for you, so don't worry you won't be eating insects any more then however long you had to do it for." Janet explained.

Beth's eyes then lit up with curiosity and she jumped up liking the idea of a freshly cooked meal on the table. After a few more minutes of talking and getting to know one another everyone went inside and Rina, Lee, and Ron helped Janet cook dinner.

(Later after Dinner)

Beth, Lucy, and Rina were all down in Rina's room getting ready for bed. Beth was enjoying the cute pajama's Rina gave her and she enjoyed that meal that Janet made.

"Hey Beth I know we just met today, and even if the way we met was kinda... uncomfortable, I'm glad we met cause I feel like you're going to be a big help here." Rina explained while getting an air mattress ready for Beth.

Beth just smiled and nodded while watching Rina with child-like amusement, she then looked at little Lucy who was fast asleep on the bed.

"Okay Beth, the air mattress is ready. I know it's not much, but Jack and Chris took over the last guest room we have, and I don't want a stranger sleeping in my parents bed till they get home." Rina explained as she stood up.

Beth just stood up and bear hugged Rina again before laying down on the air mattress. Rina smiled and laid down on her bed and went into a deep sleep.

(Meanwhile outside)

The creature was hiding in the woods and watching the house. He then slowly crawled up to the house and climbed over the fence not being affected by the electricity. This was because he had rubber like skin and it made him immune to electric shocks so he was easily able to climb over the fence.

Meanwhile back inside Beth was woken up when she heard something crawling in the yard. She sat up and looked to Rina's bed and saw she and Lucy were still asleep.

So she got up and climbed up to the small window and opened it up. She then picked out and saw the creature crawling around the place trying to find out where it was going based on the cent he was connected to.

Beth recognized him and knew what she had to do as she knew what was wrong with him. She then lifted herself outside and sat down on the grass. When she was fully out she started humming a soothing song that caught the attention of the creator to her presence. He then crawled over to her and stood up on his two feet and collapsed into Beth's arms.

She continued on humming the soothing song and the creature started turning. His claws turned into fingers, his spikes went into his body, his face started looking more and more human, and he started drinking till he looked just like a ten year old boy. When he was done with the transformation he looked up at Beth, or tried to as he was still blind, but he still looked at her and started crying.

"I-I did it again, didn't I?" The little boy asked.

Beth sighed and said "Yeah you did, your second personality took over and went homicidal."

The boy started tearing up and began crying into Beth's chest regretting whatever he did while his second personality was in control.

"Hey Boy it's alright you didn't mean what you did, it's your second personality that did all that harm." Beth reassured Boy.

"*sniff* B-But I couldn't control him. W-what if it happens again. I-I don't want to hurt or k-kill humans.*sob*" Boy then started crying even more into Beth's shirt.

"And you won't. I'll do what I can to help you out and so will the others." Beth reassured Boy.

"B-But what about seven will he help?" Boy asked.

"Oh heavens no! Remember what he did back at the lab aka our home?" Beth asked.

"Right, I remember that." Boy confirmed.

Just then the two felt a rumbling in the ground and they looked to see some of the ground being pushed up by the thing that was digging in the ground. Just then a creature jumped out of the ground and landed right inside the fence. The creature looked like a man sized leach, but it had legs, rotating teeth for digging in the ground, and it was covered in acidic slime that helped it with digging through the ground.

It then started mutating from its monster form, to the form of a black woman with white patches on her skin, and she was also completely bald. When Beth saw her she lit up with prue joy and ran up to the girl.

"Three! You're alright!" Beth exclaimed and tackled Three in a bear hug.

"Ugh! Two get off me!" Three screamed angrily.

"Sorry I'm just glad to see you again, after Seven went crazy I was worried that you didn't make it out there alive!" Beth explained.

"Well Two glad that you and One are alright." Three explained.

"Oh actually my name is Beth now and One will be Boy from now on!" Beth explained.

"Oh really? Do you like being called Boy?" Three asked.

"Yeah I think it suits me, so I'd like to be called that from now on." Boy explained.

"Alright, by the way Beth why are you here, you're supposed to be searching for Eight." Three explained.

"Oh well, good news! I think I found her!" Beth exclaimed happily. "Really? Is she here then?" Three asked.

"Yeah she is, but she's asleep right now so we can't talk to her at the moment. Oh hey I have an idea!" Beth exclaimed.

"What's that?" Three asked while crossing her arms.

"You go get Four, Five, and Six, and tell them that I found Eight. So that way we can all warn her of Seven and what he's planning." Beth explained.

"Hmm, that would work with all of us together. Seven doesn't stand a chance." Three said.

"Great! And when you all get back we can all rename you guys!" Beth exclaimed excitedly.

"I'd like that, it'd be much better then the names Mr. Z gave us." Three explained.

"Don't remind me of him, he's the one who did this to us." Boy said while looking down sadly.

"Hmm right *sigh* well hopefully when this is all over we can show the other humans what kind of man Mr. Z really is and what he did to us!" Three exclaimed angrily while clutching her fist.

"Yeah let's show them all what kind of a meanie Mr. Z truly is!" Beth exclaimed excitedly.

"Alright I better go out and find Virus Brothers and sister, you stay here with Boy and our other Virus sister while I'm out. Especially if Seven finds her before the rest of us do!" Three said as she jumped over the fence again and took off into the night.

Beth and Boy smiled and waved their Virus sister off as she went to go look for their other Virus siblings. The two then went inside the house and Beth took Boy to Rina's room and got him some pajamas before the two of them went back to sleep.
