(Two days later)

Rina woke up to her alarm going off again, she just groaned and pressed the stop button. She then sat up and looked beside her to see little Lucy sleeping peacefully next to her. Rina smiled and patted Lucy on the head before jumping out of bed and getting ready for the day.

When she looked to her bedside table she saw that one of her pills and a glass of water was sitting there. She smiled as she took the medicine and drank the water knowing that Ron must've been the one who got them out for her.

After taking her medicine she got changed and went up stairs and saw Janet cooking breakfast, Lee looking out the window for more zombies and any other survivors, and Ron setting the table.

"Hey guys, how did you all sleep last night?" Rina asked.

Ron looked to Rina and said "Well I was scared that I was going to wake up to a zombie standing over me, but other than that I slept pretty well."

Lee then said "Rom the likelihood of a zombie getting thru that electric fence and inside doesn't seem very high. It's almost like Rina's parents were preparing for this to happen. After all, why would they have an electric fence, a walk-in freezer with a shit ton of food, and a pantry with the same amount of food, a garden, and a wreck room with boat loads of weapons and survival gear?"

"Well... I don't know, they could've just been paranoid or something?" Ron suggested.

"*sigh* I always thought that too. I just hope that wherever they are they are alright." Rina said sadly as she went up to the window and looked outside to the electric fence.

"Janet then turned around and said "well let's check the fence and see if there's anything on it once breakfast is eaten."

She then sat down the plates for everyone and called out to Lucy. "Hey Lucy Breakfast is ready! Come get it before it gets cold!"

Everyone heard little Lucy stumble up the stairs as she woke up not too long after Rina, and when they all saw her her face had traces of tears on it.

When Rina saw this she ran up to Lucy and asked "Oh Luc what's wrong?"

Lucy looked Rina in the eye and said "I-I had a nightmare about daddy *sniff* in it I saw him get bit and turned into a zombie right in front of me. A-and then he came up to m-me and and *Sobs*"

When Rina and the others heard this they frowned as this outbreak affected poor Lucy way more than it did them, because she was only ten and the rest of them were at the ages of sixteen and seventeen. Rina then pulled Lucy in for a hug and comforted her as she cried. The other soon joined in as they felt bad for her losing her parents in this and that she was now having nightmares about him dying. Rina felt the most bad about it, as she had killed Reg herself, but she was just grateful that Lucy didn't see it herself as it would've been even worse if she did.

After a while they all separated and Lucy was feeling a little better so they all sat down and had breakfast. As they were eating, Rina decided to go over the chores they had for that day.

"Okay so me and Lee will head outside and refuel the electric fence and get any zombie bodies off it. Janet you'll cheek up on our food supplies and how we're doing on medicine, and Lucy you'll help." Rina explained handing out the jobs.

"Hey, what about me?" Ron asked.

"Well you'll be setting up the targets for our target practice today as you all need to know how to use the weapons we got here in this kind of situation." Rina explained.

"... Well Rina don't you think we should go out and look around for survivors?" Ron asked.

"Um I don't know, after all Janet's ankle is still recovering and Lucy shouldn't be seeing horrifying zombies." Rina explained.

"Well I can stay at the house and take care of Lucy while you, Lee, and Ron all go out and search for answers along with survivors." Janet explained.

"Are you sure that's a good idea? It sounds kinda dangerous." Rina explained, worried.

"Rina it's dangerous out there, but with you helping us out and as long as we stick together while out there we might just be able to do this." Lee engorged Rina.

Rina thought for a moment about this little idea, she knew that it was very dangerous out there, but it could also allow them to find other survivors and possibly her parents.

"Okay we'll go out, but only for two hours, and if things start getting too crazy for us then we'll come back immediately." Rina stated firmly.

"Alright it's settled then. After training you, me, and Ron will head out and look around for anyone who survived and we'll bring them here!" Lee exclaimed happily.

"Okay but dear eat your breakfast first it's getting cold." Janet explained in a motherly way.

"Oh right hehe thanks babe." Lee said a bit embarrassed before going back to his food.

(Later that day)

The five were now outside doing their target practice with paintballs as using actual guns would be too loud and attract unwanted attention. Janet was lying on the ground with a sniper rifle aiming at a far away target that Rina was moving around. She was already able to hit targets that were moving so Rina wanted to practice her timing with moving targets.

Janet focused on where the target was going to be as Rina told her not to aim right at it, but where it would be. After getting a good point Janet fired as soon as she knew where the target was going to show up in the next two seconds. Rina then felt something hit the target and when she looked she saw pink paint on it. She smiled and gave Janet a thumbs up letting her know she did well.

"Great Job everyone! You all did so well with shooting today!" Rina complemented happily.

"Thanks Rina, you're a really great teacher." Ron complimented.

"Well I'm just teaching you all the things my father taught me." Rina explained.

"Well it's great that he taught you how to use all these weapons." Lee explained.

"Yeah... Well, we'd better get ready to go searching now, as I think it'll be very dangerous when the sun goes down." Rina stated.

"Okay I'll get some food and medical supplies ready for you three while you're getting your weapons sorted out." Janet said before getting up and heading back inside.

"Okay, Ron, because you suck with sniper rifles you'll be getting two desert eagle's and two AK-47's along with about three hunting knives." Rina explained.

"Alright I like the sound of that!" Ron said excitedly.

"And Lee I saw how well you work with both close and far ranged weapons, so you'll have a M98 and a TMP, you'll get about three knives as well." Rina explained.

"Alright, I like that idea, Rina." Lee said.

Rina smiled and led her new friends back inside and to her dad's wreck room. After they geared up they met up with Janet in the living room and she had their meals and medical supplies ready.

"Stay safe out there you guys I don't want to lose any of you." Janet said.

Lee then went up to Janet and wrapped his arms around her before saying "Don't worry babe we'll only be gone for two hours and we'll be careful while out there."

Janet smiled and gave Lee a big kiss which made Rina instinctively cover Lucy's eyes. When the two separated the three said farewell to Lucy and Janet as they got into Rina's car and drove off to search for any other survivors.

As they drove Rina's mind went to the incident at the B.R.I.M and what could've caused all of this. For all she knew they made medicine for the sick, so what kind of experiments could've gotten loose and made this whole mess.

"Hey Rina you alright?" Rina heard Ron ask.

"O-Oh yeah I'm fine... I was just thinking about something." Rina explained.

"What's that?" Lee asked while leaning to the front seat (As he was in the back seat).

"Well Lucy's father Reginald told me that something had escaped from the B.R.I.M and that it had the virus that caused this whole mess." Rina explained while looking down sadly.

"Hmm... why don't we go there and cheek it out?" Ron suggested.

"What? Why do you want to check the lab out?" Rina asked, surprised and confused.

"Well there could be something there we could learn about the virus and what causes it. There could also be a way to make a cure for anyone who hasn't reached zombie hood yet." Ron explained.

"You know Ron for a guy who's average grade in school was B's and C's, that's a very clever idea" Lee stated.

"Hehe well I guess in life or death situations the person classified as the "not so smart one" instantly becomes a genius." Ron explained jokingly.

"Well if anything to prevent others from becoming more zombies then I'm in, but we'll still collect survivors on our way there and back alright?" Rina asked.

The two boys nodded their heads and Rina turned her car to the lab in hopes they'd find something they could use against the zombie's infection.

(Later)

The three made it to the lab and when Rina saw it she was reminded of what happened here and what she had to do to Reg. Even if it was out of self defense she still felt guilty for what she did as Reg was like an uncle to her. However when they got out of the car Rina saw that the area where Reg's body was supposed to be was now empty.

"Huh? What the?" Rina asked herself not realizing she said it out loud.

"What, what Rina?" Ron asked, confused.

"Oh um well last time I was here there was a body sitting right there, but now it's gone." Rina explained with only half of the info, not wanting to admit what she did out of shame.

"Well it has been two days so an animal must've come by and taken the body." Ron explained. Lee then noticed something on the ground and he went over to inspect it and found something rather concerning on it.

"Um, does any kind of animal leave behind this kind of gouges in the ground?" Lee asked.

The other two then looked in his direction and they saw three big claw marks in the ground. They didn't look like the claw marks from a normal animal as they were too big. This concerned the three friends as the claw marks were scary on their own, but not knowing what made them is even scarier.

"What on earth could've made these?" Ron asked a bit unnerved.

"I don't know and I think it's better off if we don't find out." Rina stated.

"Yeah considering what's going on right now I think we'll be better off not knowing." Lee agreed.

They then went inside the abandoned lab to look around for anything that could help them out.

As they were searching Rina came across an old photo. She picked it up and saw that it was an old photo of Lucy's first birthday. In there was little Lucy, her parents, Rina herself as an eight year old, and her own parents. Seeing them all together like that made Rina start to cry as she wanted those day's back where things were peaceful and where their families were alive and well. Rina decided to take the photo back with her as a way for Lucy to have a way to remember her loving father.

When she stood up she heard Ron call out "Hey guys come check out what I found!"

Lee and Rina then went over to where Ron's voice was coming from and they saw he was standing next to what looked like a secret door that looked like something big and strong busted it open.

"W-what the? I've never seen this before!" Rina said, surprised by this discovery.

"Well it does look rather sus (Among us XD). Wanna go check it out?" Ron asked.

"Hmm... why not there aren't any adults around here so we won't get in trouble for looking around in there." Lee stated.

"Yeah and hey it's because it's a secret it might have something interesting in there." Rina stated.

The other two nodded their heads in agreement and they all went down the stairs to explore the secret laboratory. As they went down the stairs there was obvious evidence of some sorta fight happening here as there was dried blood, claw marks, bullet holes, and all other kinds of damage done to the stairway.

When they got to the bottom of the stairs they saw a laboratory that had some rather shady looking experiments going on. Also just like the rest of the lab upstairs it was totally trashed as well, but it looked even worse then the upstairs. It didn't just have claw marks and bullet holes, but acid like slime that was eating away at the metal it was touching, strange black feathers, water on the floor, and there was a man sized hole in one of the walls and it was dug by something that made it into a tunnel it also had the same acidic slime on it as well.

"Dam what happened here?" Ron asked as he looked around with his flashlight.

"I don't know, but whatever was here it didn't like the fact that it was being held down here." Lee explained as he looked at the damage done.

"Let's just be careful and see what we can find." Rina explained and she started searching for info.

Ron and Lee joined in and started searching the laboratory as well. While looking Ron came across a flash drive that had "The Eight Tyrants" written on it.

"Ohh this looks important." Ron said and took the flash drive.

"What the fuck!" Rina and Ron heard Lee scream out of shock.

The two ran into the room where they heard Lee shouting and when they got there they saw about seven empty containment units. Each of them seemed to have accommodations for seven different types of creatures.

"Okay now this is getting way more concerning than it already was." Rina stated.

"Yeah now shit is not just hitting the fan, but also the goddamn moon into the next dimension." Ron stated fearfully.

"Yeah And now I'm scared to know what was held here." Lee said.

Just then they heard something being thrown in the doorway next to them. When they looked they saw a severed head laying in the doorway and as if things couldn't get any more unsettling a long bony hand with long metal sharp claws reached out and grabbed onto the head before dragging it back in. The three just stood there in horror as they watched the horrific scene.

Ron then whispered asking "what the fucking hell do we do?!"

Rina then whispered back "lets just get the fuck out of here and back to my car. That thing might not disturb us if we don't disturb it."

"Yeah I agree with Rina, lets just back away slowly and get the fuck out of here and never come back!" Lee whispered in a panic.

The three then tried to walk away slowly but unfortunately for them the thing came out of its hiding spot and now stood in the doorway. The group froze when they saw its hideous form. It looked like a skinny naked man with snow white skin. It also had no hair, sharp claws on its hands and toes, there were also sharp spikes on its back. Its face was rather disturbing as well as it had prue white eyes, no nose and just two holes on its face just as imitation of a nose, its ears also were elf like, and in its mouth was four rows of sharp teeth.

The three stood there waiting for the creature's next move, but it just stood there and seemed like it was waiting for something. As they stood there Rina took a good look at its eyes and noticed that they looked just like the eye's of a blind person.

'Hmm I wonder if it's blind? Only one way to find out.' Rina thought to herself and grabbed onto a nearby item and threw it across the room.

This made a loud clunk and the creature ran over to where it heard the nose and started screeching and scratching at the area looking for its prey. When Ron and Lee saw that, they realized that it wasn't attacking them when it faced them because it's blind and relied on its other senses to find its prey. They then looked to Rina and she motioned for them to leave as quietly as possible.

They nodded and slowly backed away as the creature continued trying to find more food. Soon the three managed to get back up stairs and out of the lab and when they did they all breathed a sigh of relief.

"Well then I don't know about you guys but I don't want to see that ugly thing ever again." Ron said.

"I don't want to see it either, my friend." Lee explained.

"Boys, let's just go and get back to the house before that thing comes up here." Rina explained.

"Yeah I don't know about you but I wanna- AHHH!" Ron then screamed as a zombie came up to him and tried attacking and killing him.

Thinking fast Lee got his gun out and shot the zombie right in the head killing it again. The three sighed relieved and Ron felt something wet in his pants, which made him believe he pissed himself out of fear.

Just then they all heard the creature screech and sudden rapid footsteps coming up the stairs. This made them realize that the commotion they made had just alerted the creature of their location.

"Oh horse Shit! RUN!" Lee screamed and the group ran for it.

However Ron was going a bit slow due to his body being in shock and the fact that his pants were now all wet. Unfortunately when the creature caught up with them it managed to get the scent of Ron because of his little golden shower and was able to tell where he was.

When Ron looked back to see the thing getting closer to him his petrified body finally started speeding up and he ran right towards the door where Rina and Lee were waiting for him.

However the creature managed to grab onto his pant's leg and caused him to fall over and it started dragging him away from the door. Thankfully Lee and Rina thought fast and Grabbed onto Ron's arms and started pulling him like a rope in the game of tug a war. The creature however was persistent and wasn't going to give it what it believed to be a nice juicy meal.

Ron then started screaming out of fear and pain from being used as a rope and said "AHH SOMEONE HELP! WE NEED SERIOUS HELP!"

"Don't worry Ron, we almost got you!" Lee stated thru grunts.

The creature unfortunately was much stronger and started dragging the three of them back inside. Just then Rina and Lee felt someone putting their arms around them and pulled against the creature and eventually Ron's pants leg started to rip and tear and soon it ripped completely off.

This sent the group flying back including the creature and they all fell outside in the sun. As soon as the sunlight made contact with the monster's skin it started steaming and the creature screamed in agony before retreating back into the shadows of the lab.

When they saw this Ron smirked and said "HA I guess Mr. Skinny and ugly hates the sunlight."

"It would appear that way." Lee said.

Rina then looked back at the two people who helped them and saw two teenage boys who looked exactly alike, aside from their hair as one of them had brown hair and the other had blond hair, and they had tangerine color sports jackets on.

"Hey um who are you two?" Rina asked, Ron and Lee then looked back as well and saw the two boys as well.

One of the boys then scratched the back of his head and said. "W-Well Um I'm Chris and this is my twin brother Jack."

Ron then turned onto his stomach and said "Oh hey I know you two, you're the Lith twins right?"

"Yes, that's us." Jack confirmed.

"Wait, how do you know them?" Rina asked.

"They went to our school and were a part of the basketball team." Lee explained.

"Ah Okay well it's nice to meet you two I'm Rina." Rina said then gave out her hands for them to shake.

"Pleasure to meet you Rina." Chris said while shaking one of her hands.

"What my brother here said." Jack said as he took Rina's other hand and shook it.

"Um guys I think we might wanna talk more back at the house, LOOK!" Lee then pointed to the nearby woods.

When the group looked they saw a horde of zombies coming right at them.

"OH shit what do we do?!" Jack asked in a panic.

"Let's get back to my house! It's a safe place alright come-on get in my care and lets get the fuck out of here!" Rina explained before getting up and running to her car.

The boys all followed her lead and got in the car as well. Once they were all in, Rina started it up and drove off to her house as fast as she could.

Meanwhile back inside the lab the creature was still recovering from its little sunburn. It then remembered the cloth it had from the screaming prey it was trying to catch. It then took a quick sniff of the cloth and instantly got the boy's scent on where he was. The Creature then sat down right in front of the entrance waiting for the sun to go down, as that is when it would find its prey and strike.
