I smiled at Percy and asked him, "Percy, why are me and Leo here anyway? Leo here wouldn't tell me." Also elbowing Leo in the ribs. "That's actually what you're here for; to understand. Leo understands but Chiron and Mr. D told him not tell you until you're ready." He explained. I was still confused so I nodded and followed him to the lake. Why he takes us to the lake, I have no idea.

"Jake!" I cried rushing towards him. "It'll be okay big guy stay strong. Stay with me." I said trying to tighten the bolts on his tailbone. "Please don't shut down permanently, Jake, please!" I begged him holding his head in my hands looking into his eyes. Then the body cooled down and stopped his electric blue eyes were fading to black. "No. No, no, no, no!!!! Jake..." I said crying over the no longer working body. He's gone.. His gears stopped for good. No amount of repair can fix this. I dropped my wrench on the ground as it has failed me. I took off my goggles and gloves and set them on the ground too. Jake's gone, I can't believe it. After all the repairs and promises I made him, his machine like body had stopped before I could complete the one promise I made before all the others; I'd find someway to fix him so he wouldn't have to worry about his tail falling off while he flies. I looked back into his eyes. I looked away and back at Leo. "He's gone." I told him. "Jake's shut down for good." I wiped my eyes, stood up and walked away from his body to Leo and Percy. Leo understood and explained Jake for me. I couldn't because it would bring back memories of us playing Lord of the Fire Rings or Dragon Races together.

I wiped my eyes after Leo was done explaining Jake. "Leena, I'm so sorry about this. I wish there was something I could do to help." Percy said putting an arm around my shoulders. "It's okay Percy." I said trying to convince myself the same thing. "Besides, he'll now won't have to worry about his tail falling off, but Jordon will be so upset." He nodded solemnly and I laid my head on the crook of his neck. Percy's a kind person. "JACKSON!!!" Someone's voice yelled. I tensed but Percy and Leo got me to relax a bit. "What do you want, Clarisse?" Percy asked clearly annoyed. "Why is there a giant metal can in the middle of Camp?" Clarisse asked. I felt offended. "Jake's not a giant metal can!!! He's a metal dragon!!! Or was until he permanently shut down!" I scolded her. She just laughed. "This thing? Might as well push it into the lake, no use here." She said pushing him into the lake. "NO!!!!" I screamed but two of her friends held me back from trying to get the metal locket that kept him working before he shut down. I struggled and struggled but they're really strong. When Jake was almost fully submerged they let me go and I fell to the ground, I scrambled up and ran to the lake but it was too late. "NO!!!!" I screamed again full on sobbing hysterically. I curled up into a ball and just stayed there until I heard a-

Crash

I looked up and saw Percy without a shirt dragging Jake up to shore. He started whirring and buzzing started. His black eyes were once again electric blue. He blinked a couple times and stared at me. "J-Jake?" He nodded. "Jake!" I cried throwing my arms around his neck awkwardly hugging him. He's alive. I just stood there as I awkwardly hugged him for a while. "Jake turn around." I commanded. He turned and I saw his tailbone had the perfect screws in securely tight. I looked at Percy, who still didn't have a shirt on, and hugged him. "Thank you so much Percy." I told him as he hugged me back. "You're welcome, Leena." He replied. When I let him go he threw his shirt back on. I climbed on Jake. "Come on boy, let's test out your tail!" I said. He obeyed and flew up to the sky and we made rings of fire and flew through it. Surprisingly, I didn't burn myself. "Whoo-hoo!!!!!" I cried as we made our way back to the ground. When I got off him, and said, "Guess what big guy. We don't have to fix your tail anymore!" I told him. He roared and blew fire in my face. I stood there and laughed as he chased rings of smoke.
