Maya's POV

I'm staying over at Riley's today and it's very early in the morning so she isn't awake yet. I can't fall back asleep because I can't stop thinking about Josh. "Riley!!" I scream as loudly as I can into her ear. Her eyes slowly open and look at me annoyed. "What do you want Peaches?" She asks whilst she rubs her eyes. I don't really know what I want, I was just really bored. "Nothing, I just needed my thunder. Lightning isn't enough." I answer to make her smile. Riley slowly cracks up a smile and says "So why did you wake up early? You love sleep." I try to think of an excuse but then I realise I can't lie to her, she's my best friend. "I can't stop thinking about Josh. I just need a solid answer, you know? I don't want a someday. I want a now. I want him to say yes or no, well actually leave the no out, but well my point is that I need him to make a decision because right now this waiting is just annoying." I choke the words out whilst Riley listens carefully. "Lucky for you then because Josh is coming today." She says calmly as if it didn't matter or wasn't worthy of my knowing. "What? Riles, how could you not tell me? You know how important he is to me." I ask with my heart beating so loudly that I'm pretty sure China could hear it. "I didn't want you to freak out like this Maya. I just wanted you to enjoy yourself, you can't say that it isn't a perfectly understandable reason." She answers. Dang it! She had this all planned out, didn't she? "Yeah you're right, Riles. Plus, how could I ever be mad at you for more than 2 minutes?" I reply. She smiles and laughs a little. We both get changed into our outfits.

"Uncle Josh!" Riley says and runs into the kitchen to hug him. He smiles and hugs her back.
"Riley!" He greets whilst running his hand through her hair.
"Uncle Boing!" I say and run into the kitchen to then get on his back.
"Maya," He says whilst looking up at me with a smile on his face "care to get off my back?"
"Someday." I say. But then he looks at me with his beautiful eyes, so I respond "Fine." Whilst getting off his back. So many thoughts are going through my head, I just don't know what to do or what to say. I just want to directly ask him but for the first time in a really long time, I'm scared and nervous. All of a sudden, we hear the doorbell ring.
"Who is it?" Riley asks loudly so they can hear through the door. I don't know why anyone would be here at this time in the morning. "It's Lucas!" He shouts back. So I head towards the door, open it and answer with "Howdy Ranger Rick!"
"Will you ever stop doing that?" He asks me with hopeful eyes and a hopeful smile.
"Mmmm let me think... what about no, no and ummm NO. But keep dreaming Cowboy." I answer. Ha, sometimes I amuse myself. I'm just too funny. "Lucas, I need to talk to you? Please?" Riley says out of the blue whilst grabbing his hand and leading him out of the room. I wonder what that's about. "Maya, there's something that you need to know." Josh say whilst sitting down on the couch. "Yeah, what is it?" I reply as casually as possible. I'm really hoping that this is the conversation that I've been waiting for. "I'm still too old for you, Maya. And I know you know that. I don't want to hurt you, that's why I'm doing this." He says and my heart breaks into tiny little pieces, well it was already broken. It just broke even more. "But Josh, please." I say whilst a tear slowly sneaks onto my cheek.
"Maya." Josh answers me vaguely.
"No Josh! Don't Maya me! I love you, okay? And I'm sorry that you don't want me to love you but I do so can you please just give me an answer yes or no?" I say instantly regretting it because I don't know if I'm ready for this.
"Maya... I... well... yes. I love you Maya. I love you so much and I don't want to pretend that I don't love you but I don't want to hurt you either." Josh responds with his voice in a low tone and with his eyes teary.
"Josh, you won't hurt me. I honestly just want to be with you, I want someday to be today. So can it be?" I say knowing that I'm risking it all. "Yeah, yeah. It can because honestly I just want to do this." He says and slowly comes near me.
"What're you doing?" I ask.
"Will you just stay still?" He answers and with that he kisses me, he kisses me! And I kiss back and a rush of happiness goes through my body. The kiss was passionate and sweet and just perfect.
"Well if there was still a doubt, there isn't anymore. Because I don't want to do that someday, I want to do that everyday." Josh states and I smile and then kiss him again, I am so happy that I can't even properly explain it.
"Forever long game and forever someday." I say whilst smiling and he smiles too.
"Maya, do you want to tell people or not? It's up to you." He asks me, I don't really know. I want to brag and just love him but I'm scared that it'll ruin our now relationship. "Honestly, I don't know. I don't want to ruin what we have. So I guess it's up to you, boyfriend boing." I say and he chuckles.
"We really need to work on the nicknames." Josh say whilst laughing and running his hand through his perfect hair.
"Awe, is little boy Boing Boing upset?" I tease. See what I mean? I'm flipping hilarious.
"Maya, what should I call you? How do you like umm my little ferret?" He asks, he put thought into our little game, didn't he? Or should I say our long game. I guess cheesy love songs can come true "I like. But what about umm my beautiful little ferret? That sounds great to me." I say.
"Ring power!" I hear Riley scream across the house.
"I'll be right back." I say and run to Riley's room "What'd you want Riles? Cuz my dreams are kind of coming true right now." Then I actually look at her and then at Lucas, what the hell happened between them?
"Go ahead Lucas, tell her what you told me." Riley say with a bump in her throat and tears in her eyes.
"I..."

Maya: Yeah Ranger Rick.
Josh: Maya and I are great for each other *they both look at each other lovingly and kiss*
