The door opens, and Shawn and Katy head shoots up to look at Cory. "Shawn, Katy... Auggie's pretty tired, and the kids have school tomorrow." Cory says. Shawn and Katy stands and sighs, glancing back at Maya one more time before turning to him again. "One of us should stay here with Maya . . ." Katy says.

Shawn and Katy follows Cory out of the room and Riley jumps up from her seat. She runs into the room and Cory and Topanga watch as she takes her seat next to Maya once more. "She's not doing so well . . ." Chai says to Cory.

"Yeah . . ."  Chai replies. "You okay?" Cory glances down at Chai, who nods with a fake smile, and watches her friend from afar. She lets out a loud sigh and sits down in a chair again.

"Cory?" A male voice says. Cory, Topanga, and Shawn look as Josh Matthews round the corner. "Josh?" Shawn stands up and is hugged by Josh.

"Farkle, called me and told me what happened to, Maya. Is she alright?" Josh asks worriedly

"Well, right now the doctors are saying that she's stable. They don't know when she'll wake up though." Cory explains.

Eric walks in not far from Josh. "Hey," Josh says.

"Maya in there?" Eric asks. Cory nods in answer to his brother's question.
"Mr. Matthews. . ." Smackle says awkwardly. "It's twelve at night."

Cory glances at his watch. He sighs. "I guess I better tell Riley it's time to go home. The rest of you have school tomorrow." Cory walks into Maya's room. "Riley." Cory says. Riley slowly looks at him. "Riley, it's time to go home."

"Home?" She questions.
"You have school tomorrow. Don't worry Maya's going to get better." Cory says
"But what if she doesn't?" Riley replies with sadness.

"Riley, she will -" Cory is cut off by Riley
"But what if she doesn't?" Riley says through her teeth.

"She will . . . She'll be here tomorrow and right after school you can come and see her. I promise." Cory promises. Riley stands up and looks at Maya one last time.

The next morning, Riley was silent at breakfast. In fact, everyone was. "Do you two want some cupcakes for dessert after dinner tonight?" Topanga tries to lighten the mood.

"That's sounds great!" Auggie beams.
"Sounds nice." Riley says dully as she twirls her spoon between her fingers.
"Riley-" Topanga says.

"I better go." Riley says as she tosses her bag over her shoulder and stands up, interrupting Topanga. "Since, Maya isn't here to pick me up. Like she always does." Riley says sadly.

School was no fun at all. This day just dragged on and on and on for her. She didn't even pay attention to her father lectures and didn't eat. For, she just stared out into space. Chai, Farkle, Zay, Smackle, and Lucas sat at their lunch table.

"Riley . . . Are you sure you're okay?" Lucas asks as Farkle leaves the table to go get something from the line that Riley didn't care much to pay attention to.

Riley nods slowly as Missy Bradford makes her way to the girls' table. "Hey, Riley, Chai." She greest. "I heard about your girlfriend." Missy gives a snobbish smile.
"Missy," Chai says in a warning tone. "Back off."

"Uh - Oh . . ." Zay gulps as he sinks lower into his chair.

"Sorry to hear about her. I mean, it's not like either one of you we're actually her girlfriend or anything. Right?" Missy comments. "She's a waift, come to think of it. Just. Like. You." Missy says.

Both girls watch as Missy walks away slowly. She stands. "Riley -" Lucas says
"Hey, Missy." Riley and Chai call out, ignoring Lucas.
"Yeah?" Missy turns.

Riley and Chai don't hesitate. Chai grabs a hand full of whatever food she can grab and throws it directly in Missy's face. Not a second later, Riley tackles Missy to the ground. Zay, Lucas, and Smackle stand up in shock as everyone surrounds the girls' fight.

"Get off of me!" Missy shouts.
"Take it back!" Riley could be heard yelling.

"Hey! Hey! Hey!" Cory and another teacher run into the cafeteria. Cory grabs Riley and the other teacher grabs Missy. "That is enough! Now what happened?!"
"They attacked me, that's what!" Missy pants.

"You b -"
"RILEY!" Cory interrupts. "Both of you calm down . . ." Riley shoves her dad away. "Why should I?" She starts to head towards the front doors of the school.
"Where are you going?" Chai calls to her friend.

"To see Maya!" Riley calls back.
"Riley . . ." Cory mutters to himself as Riley exits the building and out into the frosty New York air.
