boy crazy stacey.

"SEA CITY! ONE WEEK, EIGHT PIKES, TWO BABYSITTERS!" Stacey exclaimed.

Pam smiled and adjusted her two space buns in her hair.

"I can't believe you guys are going!" Claudia exclaimed.

"I can't believe your dad is letting you go!" Kristy told Mary Anne.

"Yeah, how is Richard taking it?" Dawn asked, as Pam laid her head on her knee since she was sitting on the ground.

Mary Anne thought for a couple seconds.

"Pretty good...considering. He did make me only get one-pieces, which made him feel like he was, again, extorting some measure of control." Mary Anne informed everyone.

"We'll go bikini shopping on our night off. It'll be our chance to bond!" Stacey exclaimed.

"Really?" Mary Anne whispered, shocked.

"Yeah!"

"I'm so jealous! You guys get to go on a glamours business trip, while I'll be stuck in boring Vermont." Claudia whined.

"You'll be with Mimi, Claud, remember?" Pam brought up.

"She'll be bored too."

"Well, I'm feeling bad for Pam. She still hasn't come out to our parents yet." Stacey giggled.

"What?" Mary Anne asked.

"I think they'll get the hint once they see the rainbow flag in my room." Pam shrugged.

"But you can't just wait for them to see it! You have to tell them that you're a lesbian, or it will be really awkward." Dawn said, speaking like it was from experience or something.

"But that's so hard! They hate me." Pam whined.

"They don't hate you. Maybe their just bored of you doing the same thing over and over again. This will be your way to so then you're an original." Stacey said.

"Speaking of boring, this whole wedding stuff has made my mother into the most basic person to ever live! 'Flutes or saucers? Roses or orchids?' it's like talking to a Brides magazine from the 1950's!" Kristy ranted.

"At least she's not obsessively looking for dates on Tinder." Dawn laughed.

Mary Anne's eyes widened.

"Sharon swipes right on everyone. It's why I can't leave her alone." Dawn explained.

"Well my dad will be at home and vulnerable..." Mary Anne trailed off.

"Say no more. The game is afoot." Dawn declared, standing up with Mary Anne following her.

"Project Parent Trap begins now."

The two did their iconic duo handshake and everyone laughed, sitting back down.

"Okay, before we get into all that, let's lay out some ground rules. The BSC code of conduct." Kristy said, standing up.

"Oh brother." Claudia groaned.

"No texting during sitting hours. We can't afford any distractions. And be hyper-vigilant with sunscreen application. And most importantly..." Kristy trailed off with a smile.

"Oh! Don't worry. I can disconnect my pump for up to an hour if I want to swim." Stacey informed.

"No. I mean, good! But most importantly..."

The club sat in silence, waiting for Kristy to say something.

"I'm gonna miss you guys!"

Kristy turned around and wiped her tears away, not wanting the girls to see her tears.

"Kristy!" Mary Anne whined, going up to her and hugging her.

Dawn and Pam stood up also and ran into the hug, and Claudia followed.

"Come on, guys, it's only for a week!" Stacey exclaimed.

Everyone looked at her with sad eyes.

Stacey scoffed and joined the hug, as everyone began giggling.

PAM WALKED UP TO THE SCHAFER'S DOOR AND KNOCKED ON IT, patting her rainbow dress.

Dawn opened the door with happy eyes.

"Pam! Pam! Pam! Pam! Good! You're here." Dawn cheered, grabbing her blonde friends hand.

The two rushed up the stairs and into Dawn's room, sitting on her bed.

"Okay, we're gonna call Richie and convince him to get back together with my mom!" Dawn explained quickly.

"Dawn, that sounds like a magnificent plan my beau, but we don't have Richie's number." Pam reminded her.

Dawn went into her pocket and pulled out her moms phone.

"We have about five minutes before she comes back."

Pam nodded and Dawn opened the phone, tapping Richie's icon.

She put it on speaker and waited.

"Sharon, what a lovely surprise."

"Richie! Hello, darling." Dawn said in her moms voice.

Pam slapped her hands over her mouth, trying not to laugh.

"I was just calling to say you should come over to dinner. Maybe we could share a wine?" Dawn asked.

"Okay."

"On the rocks?"

Pam snorted through her hands.

"Nobody drinks wine on the rocks. Dawn, return your mothers phone."

"Richard! Come on, dude!" Pam told the man.

"Pam?"

"Give love a chance!" Dawn added, "Remember when you used to be her little turtle?"

"What did you just say...Why do you...Did she tell you-"

"I found her old yearbook, and I started reading it-"

"Don't."

"She was so in love!" Dawn cooed.

"Okay."

"Now, she's just so so lonely." Pam said.

"I am hanging up now."

"Oh no, don't, don't-"

The phone beeped and turned off.

Pam snapped her fingers.

"We tried our best."

"They have to get together." Dawn whined.

"They will! The weddings coming up soon. Weddings are about drinking and love. They'll find out that they really need each other then." Pam explained.

Dawn nodded, believing Pam.

••••

PAM LAID ON HER BED WITH HER LAPTOP ON HER thighs and munching on potato chips.

"El's not stupid! It's no my fault you don't like girls!"

"Damn, that's cold." Pam muttered, stuffing a chip into her mouth.

I'm tired of waiting! I was never good at sports. Save the games for the girls on the tennis courts!

Pam picked up her phone with her new rainbow phone case and looked at who's calling.

Incoming call from skater boy🛹🌿...

Pam almost choked on her chip in her throat, never EVER expecting this boy to call her.

She pressed the green button and put the phone up to her ear.

"Hey Sam. What's up?"

"Hey Pam."

A silence broke between the two, before Pam sighed and picked up a chip.

"You called me, skater boy. Remember? Dialing the numbers?" Pam asked, stuffing a chip into her mouth.

"Oh! Yes! I need to ask you about Stacey."

"Yeah?" Pam asked.

"What do you think of her?"

Pam laughed.

"Oh my god, she's so hot. I'm totally asking her out. What do you want me to say? Shes my sister." Pam sassed.

"Well, like, not like that. I know about you and Dawn-"

"What about me and Dawn?" Pam asked.

"A-Are you serious? You two basically make out with your eyes-"

"Do you want me to hang up? Is that what you want?" Pam asked.

"No! Okay, just one question. Would it be okay if I have a tiny little crush on Stacey?"

"Dude, you can marry her for all I care! Just treat her right!" Pam laughed.

"I should've known. You're too nice."

"Goodbye, Sam Thomas."

"Goodbye, Pamela McGill."

THE LAST DAY WITHOUT STACEY AND MARY ANNE ROLLED AROUND THE CORNER, so Pam had to spend the day doing absolutely nothing.

She stood on a stool placing fake vines on her fan, so it looked pretty.

Until her phone started ringing.

Pam groaned and hopped down from the stool, grabbing her phone.

Incoming call from my beau🥺🌵🌸...

Pam let out a squeal and pressed the green button.

"Hi Dawn! What's up?"

"Hey Pam, so I'm REALLY craving chocolate milk right now."

"That is probably the randomness thing I've ever heard someone say over the phone."

"That's what I was going for! Anyways, if you get me chocolate milk from 7-11, I'll pay you. Okay?"

"Alright! I'll do it!"

"Awesome! You're the best."

"Be there in twenty!"

••••

PAM WALKED INTO 7-11 AND SAW AMARYLLIS at the register.

"Hey Pam!"

"Hey-o my lovely ginger girl! I'm here for chocolate milk!"

"You know where it is." Amaryllis giggled.

Pam skipped down the aisle and stopped at the cold freezer, grabbing a carton of chocolate milk.

"Here we are." The girl muttered, placing it on the counter.

"Is this on the tab?" Amaryllis asked.

Pam nodded.

"You're covered."

"Awesome!"

Pam grabbed the milk and stopped suddenly.

"How's Avi?"

Amaryllis looked up.

"W-What? What are you," Amaryllis wiped her forehead, "Talking about."

"Oh! I just didn't see her yesterday. How is she?" Pam teased.

"Oh! S-Shes good. Just a little bit under the weather."

"Well, I hope you can hang out with her soon." Pam wished.

••••

PAM KNOCKED ON THE DOOR OF THE SCHAFER'S HOUSE, holding the chocolate milk in her hand.

Dawn opened the door and smiled.

"Hey Pam! Thank you so much." Dawn thanked, taking the milk out of her hand.

"Anytime! Also, you don't need to pay me back. I have a tab at 7-11." Pam waved off.

"Oh no! I can pay you back." Dawn said.

"No, really! It's okay. You don't need to pay me-"

Pam's words got caught in her throat.

Maybe time stopped when Dawn pecked Pam's lips, but for the blonde it felt like an eternity. The flutter in her stomach increased, her cheeks turned red. She knew she would never forget this feeling of her this kiss. Pam didn't focus that Dawn wasn't her first kiss, she didn't focus on all the other kisses that Jack stole from her. It didn't matter anymore. All she cared about was that she was kissing Dawn freaking Schafer.

Dawn pulled away and smiled.

"Thanks for the chocolate milk!"

The door closed and Pam gulped.

"Wow." The blonde whispered, her voice cracking.

She walked off the porch with her arms at her sides, mouth agape, and eyes lit up.

Pam's phone began vibrating in her pocket.

She pulled it out and automatically answered it.

"H-Hello?"

"PAM, OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD! I JUST HAD MY FIRST KISS! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! IT WAS SO MAGICAL..."

Pam listened to her ranting and continued walking down the sidewalk.

"...so anyways, we'll be back in about 45 minutes! You haven't talked much. You okay?"

"I..."

Pam gulped.

"Dawn..."

"Yeah?"

"Dawn kissed my lips."

Silence flooded the other line.

Until a squeal was heard.

"OH. MY. GOD!"
