Hoseok's pov~

"I'll pull her aside after class and talk with her. As soon as I finish talking to her I'll come find you, okay?" I say, looking down at y/n who had a permanent frown stuck on her face currently.

"I still don't like this but yeah, okay." Y/n sighs. I lean forward and peck her lips.

"I'll see you after class." I smile as we part ways. I see Yoongi join her side and the two of them begin to talk as they head off to their class.

I do the same, heading towards my classroom, dreading having to do this. I've never had to reject anyone before and I just didn't like the thought of hurting someone's feelings.

Of course for y/n's sake, I'll do this but it doesn't mean I'm gonna like it.

As I enter the classroom, right away, Nao spots me and smiles widely. She begins waving her hand as she motions me over.

Knowing it's best I don't, I point to my usual seat. She frowns but doesn't say anything else.

During the whole lesson I'm trying to think of exactly what I need to say. I don't want to be too harsh but at the same time, I need to get my point across.

When the professor announces we're done, I swallow down the lump in my throat as I pack up my things and turn to Nao.

I make my way over to her, bracing myself for what I have to do.

"Hey, mind if we talk real quick?" I ask and right away, she smiles. Oh god. That's just gonna make this even harder. I feel like such a dick.

"Not at all, I'd like that!" Nao says as she trails behind me as we make our way out to the place where all the students hangout. We sit down on a bench across from one another.

"So what did you want to talk about?" Nao asks, smiling like she was the happiest person on earth right now and boy was I about to ruin that.

I sigh, shifting in my spot. "I heard about what you said to Yoongi at the party..." As soon as I say that, Nao visibly stiffens.

"Yeah?" She asks, her words cautious. "Yeah and look, I'm flattered and all but, I'm with y/n. I love her and I don't plan on breaking up with her, ever. I'm sorry if at any point you got a vibe that that's where things were headed but I can assure you it's not. I'm sorry but, I think it's best if you move on." I say simply.

Nao stared at me for a second before she pursed her lips.

We sat there in silence for what felt like forever before she finally spoke.

She sighed firstly before she said, "I expected this, honestly. You know, I've been in love with you for so long and I thought maybe now I'd finally have a chance. I guess y/n just got to you first, huh?"

I pull in my lips. "I'm really sorry, Nao. I'm sure one day you'll find a great guy but that guy isn't me. I hope you understand."

Nao is silent once again before she forced out a laugh.

"Yeah wow, I'm awful. I really just tried to steal someone else's man only to end up rejected. I guess that's what I get for being a home-wrecker. I really should apologize to y/n." Nao says, rubbing the back of her neck.

"I'd give it some time but yeah, I'm sure an apology would be nice." I chuckle, glad she seemed to be taking this well. Way better then I thought actually after what Yoongi had told me.

I guess being rejected by the actual person instead of others just telling you it won't happen makes all the difference.

"Well I hope in the future all of us can be friends. I'll understand if you don't want to or if y/n is against it. Thanks for the chat." Nao says, standing quickly.

I'm sure she didn't feel like being around me right now after being turned down and I get it, so I don't say a word as she walks off.

I turn my head to look around and from only a few feet away, I see y/n standing with Yoongi, Jungkook, and Tae.

As my eyes land on Y/n I see her laughing at something Yoongi had said. My eyes narrow as I look over at Yoongi who's smiling at y/n with a look that seemed way more then friendly.

I bite the inside of my cheek as my mind flashes back to the conversation I overheard Ari and y/n have yesterday.

For some reason, Ari was convinced that Yoongi liked y/n and I didn't like that assumption one bit.

I didn't believe it either but now seeing how he's looking at her, I don't know what to believe. Surely he wouldn't start liking y/n when he knows all too well that we're together, right?

I didn't like this one bit. I could only hope that this assumption was false and that he really did just admire her in a friendly way.

Not wanting to see the two of them laughing anymore, I make my way over to them and instantly capture y/n's attention.

When she sees me she completely forgets about Yoongi and comes to my side.

"How did it go? Please tell me she didn't make things worse." Y/n sighs, her sigh desperate.

"It went well. She understands and she isn't going to be a problem anymore. She also wants to apologize to you but I said it was best to let the air settle for a bit." I say and right away y/n looks relieved.

"Oh thank god. I couldn't handle anymore of this nonsense. I'm glad she's finally backing off." Y/n says as she throws her arms around me.

"Now we don't have to worry about a single thing trying to come between us again." Y/n says into my chest.

My eyes shift over to Yoongi who looks down just as y/n says that. I bite my tongue.

I guess we still have something to worry about after all.
