I woke up smiling as always , the sun was shining bright when I looked around from chair to the door , where's mommy , she always wakes me up. I woke up by myself on the Christmas day, I am grown up and a big girl. But where's she.

"Mommy"my voice echoed in the hall way. You must wait for some time after calling someone that's what mommy taught me.
One. Two. Three.

She is still not replying. I slid my legs out of the warm blanket. The heat was on but the chills of December made me shiver. The blanket hanged around my shoulder, providing me warmth.

I walked towards my parents room. They must be sleeping, I should surprise them. I opened the door

"Surprise"

No one. The room was neat , blankets were kept folded on the corner of bed. Kitchen , no one , living room , no one. Not even behind the Christmas tree.

The gifts stared back at me pleading me to open them. But we always open them together.

"Mommy! Papa! " the house was empty , the chills ran down my spine.a strange fear clouded my mind.

I kept the blanket on couch and ran towards the door. Changing into my shoes I ran towards our neighbor's house.

I was about to knock but the door slid open.

"Leo" I walked inside when I heard a sound.

The passage way lead me towards the leaving room where I saw it.

Leo's mom was cuddled up in my mom's arms , sobbing. Mr.Bennett was sitting in a corner while my father was talking to a police officer. The room , it was destroyed completely, Mrs.Bennett's favourite flower vase was now shattered in pieces. The room looked like as if someone mixed the pieces of jigsaw puzzle.

"Sweety What are you doing here?" My mom's voice low and filled with concern. But I was frozen in my place. I took a left turn and ran to Leo's room.

"Leo , Leo"

"Wait dont go their" papa said from the other corner of the room , but he was too late. I was inside the room by now.

"Leo"

He was not in his room , probably playing hide and seek. Behind the doors , no. In the washroom , no. Beneath the bed , no.

"Leo, where are you" Papa was standing outside I ran to him

"Papa , where's Leo?" I hugged his knees , I was just 6 at that time. He picked me up and caressed my hairs.

"Firstly let's go home." He carried me towards our home. Cold winds were freezing me , but Papa's warmth was comforting.

Once inside the house he made me sit on a chair. I don't remember what he said , or what happened. I was too little to understand or to remember exactly. But after that we never celebrated Christmas. Those gifts are still in our basement. But Christmas felt like nothing , no celebration, just holidays when I sat in my room practicing telekinesis.

And Leo. I never saw him again. I missed him, my only friend in the neighborhood, his green eyes to his silly jokes. I missed him.

My phone buzzed in distance. Kids must be practicing for the upcoming sports outside. They were shouting and enjoying themselves. Coming out front he bed , I quickly grabbed my phone and turned off the alarm.

I walked inside the bathroom for a quick shower. The cold water felt soothing on my skin. Everything that happened in past month started replaying in my mind.

Coming back from Lucas's room after having a great meal and heartful conversation, I was checking my cloths from today's field trip. I slid my hand inside one of my pant's pocket. My fingertips rubbed against something , It was supposed to be empty. I grabbed the box and pulled it out. A piece of paper fell down with it.

What does it even mean.

The paper was wrapped around something , unfolding it was one of my achievements so far after being transported here 6 months back.

It had all I needed. And Leo I'll bring you back for you for Mr. And Mrs. Bennett. I'll bring you back.

What if I fail? I will be stuck here , away from my family. I'll never see Leo again.

Only the thought of it shook me to the core. I turned off the shower and stepped out. It's been a long month. Studying and analysing the spell that I received from the old man to actually practicing it from past 6 days.

My eyes wondered from the scratch on my left arm to the bruises on my belly. I am paying back for my desparate attempts to open the time line.

Almost half year in a completely different world. From learning the language and culture to getting an addmission in Eden academy of excellence. All these things were meant to lead me towards the end of glitch. Each and every action I am taking now will either be a bonus or will drag me back to where I started.

So far the spell is working but power , I don't think it's possible for just one telepath to do it , I need someone.

My phone rang and I picked up without looking at the ID.

"Hello?"

"Hey I am waiting outside " All my thoughts were suddenly pushed aside. Kai

I feel bad for them , that I am not being loyal to them. My friends,they are amazing, the only friends I made after Leo's disappearance.

"You there?" His voice brought me back to reality, for the first time i glanced towards the alarm clock on my bed-side-table , 7:45.

I grabbed a pair of back denim and a white t-shirt , and finished my look with a blue sweat shirt and a hat. My bruises are not that small , that they can be ignored. And for someone as caring as Kai , he will treat even a small mosquito bite with proper medication.

A small smile creeped on my lips and they parted to form a thin grin, a genuine one. I haven't smiled from the last 1 week. After an unexpected announcement about annual sports , all the selected students were assigned the work of guidance. The only students who can skip these classes if they want. And that's what I am doing from past 6 days, skipping my practice and classes to work on the spell. Everytime I try to perform it , a shock wave hits me so hard that it made me hit the glass showcase of chemistry lab one , leaving a deep cut on my back.

But I know , if it'll work the right way , I'll get the results as well.
