Part 50

"This is a... you are... when... Rory?" Logan stuttered as he sat looking confused, elated, and terrified all at the same time.

Rory just nodded and grinned at him.

Logan let the box and it's contents fall to the floor as he rose.  He wrapped his arms around Rory and swung her in a circle.  He set her on her feet and searched her face.  Finally he spoke, "We're having a baby?"

"Yes," Rory said still smiling.

"But...when? How?  When did you find out?"  Logan asked still stunned.

"Lane brought me the test the night the storm hit.  I snuck it up here, but didn't do it until this morning.  I'm probably not too pregnant right now, but it says yes!"  Rory said excitedly.

"A little pregnant is good for now.  You'll get more pregnant soon,"  Logan said.  Then considered what he said and rephrased, "I mean, you'll be further along soon.  You're pregnant!  We are going to have a baby!"

"We are going to have a baby,"  Rory confirmed.

Logan sat back down and picked up the cellophane wrapped test stick that had fallen out of the box.  Gently he laid it back down on the tissue paper she had put in the box.  He stared at the double pink lines.  Rory sat on the bed next to him.  He looked at the test for a few more moments before looking up at her.  He said, "I just can't believe it.  Did you know? Are you sick?  I haven't noticed you getting sick."

"No, no, I have been fine so far. I started to think I might be pregnant a couple weeks ago.  I missed my period.  But you know I do that sometimes.  I thought it might just be one of those things or maybe stress related from the house and this wedding.  When I talked to Lane, she insisted I take a test,"  Rory said.  Then she laughed, "Lane must have a hidden supply of pregnancy tests somewhere, seems like she is always throwing one at me!"

Logan laughed.  He said, "She does seem to be the test girl."  Logan carefully set the box on the bed next to him.  He turned to Rory, "You're happy, right?"

Rory had a huge smile on her face, "I am very happy!"  She paused and asked, "Are you happy?"

"I couldn't be happier," Logan said pulling her close.  He softly kissed her as his hand trailed to her stomach.  Pulling back, his gaze fell to where his hand sat on her abdomen.  "Our baby is in there.  A tiny little thing that is you and me is growing in there," he said with fascination in his voice.

"I know, pretty incredible, isn't it?"  Rory said.

Logan continued to gently rub her stomach.  "It's amazing. I still can't quite believe it."  He looked up at Rory and asked, "So should we be doing something?  Like, shouldn't you get to a doctor or something?"

"Yes, I figured I would make an appointment soon,"  Rory said. "I'd like to see a doctor before we tell anyone.  I don't know, just want to make sure everything is alright, you know?"

"I agree,"  Logan said.  "But I am just so excited right now.  I want to tell everyone!"

"I know, so do I.  But it's Sunday.  And we just had a blizzard.  I highly doubt any doctors offices are open today.  I'll have to wait until tomorrow morning to call.  Hopefully, I can get in this week,"  Rory said.  "It's going to kill me not to tell  my mom and Lane."

"You can tell them, you know. Maybe just tell your mom and Lane.  We can just wait to make a big announcement until we make sure everything is ok and confirm everything is good," Logan said.

"I know and I might.  I have already ignored two texts and a call from Lane.  She won't be ignored much longer, especially now that the snow stopped! And Mom will just know.  She's freaky like that."  Rory laughed.  "But I had to tell you first."

"Well, I certainly appreciate that being as though I think I had a more important contribution to this pregnancy than Lane,"  Logan grinned.

"She did buy the test,"  Rory joked.

"I don't think I need to detail what I did, do I?"  Logan asked raising a brow.

Rory giggled, "No, I think I remember."

"Oh, you think you remember?" Logan asked gently pushing her back on the bed.  He hovered over her and said, "Maybe now is a good time to remind you."  He kissed her gently.

Rory responded quickly.  She wrapped her arms around his shoulders and pulled his body down to hers. Rory wasn't sure if pregnancy hormones could be kicking in yet, but she knew she really wanted Logan right then.  His reaction was perfect, everything she had hoped for.  She had been secretly afraid he would react like Zack reacted to Lane when she told him she was pregnant with the twins.  But Logan didn't disappoint her.  She knew he was as happy as she was.

She sighed when he kissed her neck and trailed his tongue to her collarbone.  He eased back and looked at her.  He said, "This is ok, right? We can still do this, can't we?  I mean, we can't hurt the baby, can we? It won't hurt you, right?"

Rory opened her eyes and looked up at him.  He looked truly concerned for her and the baby.  Rory smiled, "I am pretty confident that it is fine."  She touched his face and urged him back down on her.

Logan propped himself on his elbows and shifted his weight so that he was barely putting any pressure on her.  He gently brushed her hair away from her face.  He kissed her temple and smiled at her.  Softly, he whispered in her ear, "I love you.  You are absolutely amazing.  I can't believe we are going to be parents."

Rory turned her head to face him.  He kissed her thoroughly, but with some reserve as if he was still afraid of hurting her.  Rory grasped his head and deepened the kiss.  He moaned into her mouth as she nibbled on his lower lip. Rory kissed from his jaw up toward his ear.  Logan shivered as she sucked on his earlobe.  Her hands ran from his shoulders down his back to his behind.  She pushed up against him as she squeezed his butt.

Logan pulled free from her needy grasp and tore off his shirt.  With much more care, he lifted her shirt over her head.  He gently lifted her slightly and unhooked her bra.  The under garment got thrown on the floor with their shirts.

Rory again reached for him.  Logan stayed just out of her reach and unbuttoned her pants. Slightly distracted, his fingertips made circles on her lower abdomen.  Rory squirmed under his feather light touches.  His movements didn't quite tickle, but caused her muscles to quiver and her skin to be very sensitive where he touched. Logan noticed her reaction to his touch.  He smiled and placed a light kiss on her stomach before pulling off her pants and panties.

Logan stood by the bed and removed the remainder of his clothes.  Once the clothes were forgotten on the floor, he slipped into bed next to her.  He pulled the thick comforter up around them.  He took care to make sure she was fully covered and warm.   As he snuggled in next to her he ran his hands all over her body. They lay face to face under the blanket.  It excited him to know that the body he was so accustomed to  would be changing soon. He knew every curve and valley of her body and couldn't wait to witness the changes.  He said, "I just wanted to feel you against me, with no barriers."

Rory let her hand wander from his shoulder down his side to his hip. She smiled and whispered, "You're being different."

"I feel a little different," Logan admitted in a soft whisper.  "I didn't think I could love you any more than I did.  I didn't think you could be any more beautiful to me.  I didn't think I could be more excited about our future," He paused and kissed her.  Then he continued, "But I do.  I do to all of it.  You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.  I love you so much and can't wait for the rest of our lives."

Overcome with emotion at Logan's words, Rory's eyes misted over.  She managed to say, "I love you too, Logan."

Then no more words were necessary.  As their mouths met, their bodies melted together.  Still on their sides, their arms went around each other.  Rory's leg found it's way over Logan's hip, locking him to her.  The soft rounded curves of her body met his smooth, hard muscles.  He stroked down her spine lightly with his fingertips.  She returned the gesture with her nails.  She could feel the defined muscles of his back quivering as her nails scratched up and down his back.

In a slow fluid movement, Logan rolled Rory to her back while he rolled on top of her.  Their eyes met as he slowly entered her.  They both gasped as they enjoyed the sensation.  Rory's eyes fluttered closed.  Logan lowered his forehead to hers as he began to move inside her.

He made love to her very slowly, savoring every stroke.  Rory felt the urgency build inside her.  She moaned and raised her hips higher.  Sensing her need, Logan withdrew himself to the edge of her before filling her completely.  Rory gasped and wordlessly begged him with her eyes.

Tormenting them both, Logan kept his slow pace. He was determined to drive them both to a slow, passionate peak.  Moments later, he felt Rory's muscles convulse as she moaned loudly.  He watched her head roll back and her mouth open.  He could see her pulse beating frantically in her throat.  He kissed the trembling spot on her neck and and smelled her unique musk.  That smell always excited him.  He couldn't hold out any longer and emptied himself into her.

A few hours later, Logan woke with Rory in his arms under the thick comforter.  He smiled and watched her sleep for a few moments.  She looked so content and peaceful that he did not want to disturb her.  He formulated a plan and quietly sneaked out of the bed.  He was very careful not to wake her while he got dressed.  He took one last look at her sleeping before he slipped from the room to find Lorelai.

"Well, of course, it's the least we can do!"  Sookie said excitedly.  "You just give me an hour or so and I will whip up something special."

"Thanks, Sookie.  Since we aren't taking a honeymoon right away, I just want to do something special," Logan said.

"Special is what I do best! But, really, no oysters? I ordered them for your wedding, but never got the chance to make them.  It's the special tonight and going over really well,"  Sookie said trying to convince Logan.

"Nah, I'm not sure she likes oysters," Logan said.  He was pretty sure Honor said she couldn't eat oysters when she was pregnant.  He figured safe was better than sorry and made a mental note to do some reading on proper pregnancy cuisine.

Sookie shrugged and began planning another menu.  She rushed off to search her freezer and direct the staff on her new project.

"So, she's feeling ok, though, right?  I'm surprised she's taking such a long nap,"  Lorelai asked suspiciously.

"Yes, she's fine.  She just needed a nap, long night last night.  You know her, she'll be hungry when she wakes up.  I just wanted to surprise her with a nice meal in our room,"  Logan said.

"Yeah, she'll like that," Lorelai said still eyeing Logan. "Want me to send up some candles, a bottle of champagne maybe?"

Logan thought for a moment and said, "Candles might be nice.  You can skip the champagne though."  At Lorelai's questioning look, he said, "Still a little hungover from last night."  Then he hurriedly said, "Ok, thanks Lorelai.  I'm going to head back up."

"Ok...sure.  I'm make sure Sookie gets stuff up there soon,"  Lorelai said.  She knew something was going on.  Logan was acting strange.  She just wasn't sure what it was. "I'll pop in before I go home for the night and say goodbye."

"Ok, great.  We'll, uh, just see you later then. Thanks for your help,"  Logan said as he made a beeline for the steps.  Rory was right.  They were not going to keep this secret from Lorelai long.
