Part 5

(This takes place 4 years after the last chapter. So Gila is 7 and her sisters are 4)

Gila heard thumping of talons pass by the nursery room. It was her mothers soft talon steps. She was playing with DesertGlider and Lion. "And the princess lived happily ever after..." Gila said. Gila drifted off into a peaceful slumber. It was night when she was woken up by the shattering of a pot. "Mom...?" Gila said still wakeing up. Gila then heard a deep snarl. "I gave you a chance Bloom, and so now you will meet the consequences." A icy voice growled. Desertglider was in a ball in between Gila's legs (arms, talons, claws???".) Desertglider's eyes popped open. She had a scared looked on her face. Lion was on the floor cuddling with a toy. Gila knew that Desertglider, and Mountain Lion could read minds, but she knew that they didn't know the situation they were in. Gila silently crept to the other side of the room to get some pillows. As she moved her dark purple scales glimmered in the Moonlight. She put her two sisters under the bed and covered up that space with pillows. Then Gila opened the door to the room and walked onto the stone floor. She could see the shadows of her father's assailants. Gila crept under the kitchen table. Her father had a disk pressed to his neck. Gila saw that one of her fathers attackers was a Nightwing. Why would mother's own tribe be attacking dad?  She thought. "Now where are the dragonets!" The male boomed. "I...I... don't know." Bloom coughed out. "You should know where they are their your dragonets!" The male boomed. "Please Visonseeker." Bloom whimpered. The female looked at him in disgust then she kicked his ribs. Bloom winced in pain. "You like that?" The Female laughed. "Molten watch him while I go search for Magma, and the dragonets." Molten nodded a kicked Bloom again. Then Gila lunged at Visonseeker. "Don't you dare touch my family!!" Gila snarled. She landed on the dragon's neck and clawed it. Visionseeker tried to shake her off. He slammed her against the wall. Gila felt like crying but she knew that she couldn't show weakness. Molten rushed over to her accomplice. Bloom got up he stumbled forward holding his side. Bloom was panting hard. Molten rushed over to pin him down again. Bloom swung his tail at her just missing her chest. But his tail barb did hit her arm. Molten screamed out in pain.

Visionseeker had managed to pull me off his neck. I growled at him. He when I tried to reach his wing. He clawed me with her other talon. Leaveing a trail of blood starting at the corner of my mouth. All the way to my side. "Ahhh!" I yelled. Tears welled in my eyes but I blinked them back. Then Visionseeker through me against the hard wood wall. I hit the floor with a thud. He then rushed to Molten's aid. He managed to have antidote for the venom. I wanted to use my magic but I couldn't think of any words for the spell. Then every thing went dark. When I woke up it was dawn. I stumbled through the house look for my parents. No one was in the house besides my sisters and myself. I went into their room and curled up in a ball around them. I knew I couldn't stay here for long they would come back for sure. So I got all the pouches  and satchels I could find and packed everything I needed for the journey. I packed my sister's favorite toys and lots of food and set off. My sisters couldn't fly so we walked most of the way. I tried to teach them on the way there but that didn't work out. I was so excited to go to Harmony. It is a town on the Diamond Spray Delta. I could smell the salt in the air already. We had been trap for two weeks. My first priority when we would get to Harmony would be to get a house big enough for us, and a job. We landed at Harmony a little bit after sunset. I was surprised to see guards patrolling the perimeter of the city. I approached them with my hood covering most of my body. "Hello." I said while waving one of the guards over. "Hello is it ok if I enter the city?" I asked. "Yes it's ok but we have to check you for weapons." The guard said in a hoarse voice. I nodded. The guard checked my pouches, and satchel then he checked my legs and tail to make sure I didn't have anything strapped on. "I'm going to need you to take off your hood." The guard said. "Are hybrids aloud?" I asked. "There are tons of them they should be aloud. I'm actually part Seawing." The guard whispered. I took off my cloak. The guard was shocked to see that I was part Nightwing. "What...how...??" The guard said in confusion. The other guard looked over his eyes widened when he saw me. Desertglider and Lion were playing in the soft soil. They were to busy to notice the guard's confusion. I unfolded my wings to show him that I didn't have any weapons. He escorted me into the city. It was beautiful with colors everywhere you turned. "Do you have a place to stay?" He asked. I shook my head. "Well there's a hotel down there." He said while pointing his wing to the right. "Or are you looking for something more permanent?" He asked. I nodded my head. "There are tons of homes available I'll show you!" We walked towards the wealthier part of town. "So what are you looking for?" He asked. "Something big." I replied. He nodded then trotted towards the bigger homes. He knocked on a blue door that belonged to a magnificent White House with gold accents. An older looking Skywing appeared at the door. "Hello this dragon is interested in buying your house." He said. The Skywing nodded. "Come in." She said. The Skywing showed us  in. The house had a stone interior, with a light Beige paint painted over the rock. Then she showed us the upstairs. It was exactly what I wanted. "I'll take it." I said. The Skywing nodded. "Well that's great!" She exclaimed. I handed her t some coins, and then she left. "Meet me tomorrow at three at the entrance." He said. He left then I closed the door behind him. My sister's fell asleep on the stone floor with their toys. Then I fell asleep in the corner on the other side of the room.
