Papyrus sat in his bed at night worried about his brothers reaction, "Sans..." He whispered softly. He felt utter shame and grief Undyne confessed that he was never gonna be in the royal guard... Papyrus felt great pain and fear and worried that his brother would reject him permanently "I'm sorry brother..." Papyrus said quietly pulling the covers over him.

Sans was about to open the door when Y/N stepped out. "I- oh" Sans took a step back, "oh..." She looked at him and her eyes looked cold and emotionless. "I... I'm sorry for my a-""you could of killed me!" She said with a growl turning away. "I... I didn't know what I was doing!" Sans opening confessed slightly annoyed. She began to walk away "try giving people a chance before you try to out right murder them" she said stalking off into the snow. Sans was filled with anger "try letting someone talk" He snapped. 

"Why don't you kill her" the voice spoke again. "Because, death is not the answer to everything Flowey" He snapped back. "But she's defied you? Show your strength. You've almost done it once.... Just do it again..." It cackled murderously."I'm no longer swayed by your words, I seek happiness and the light" He responded. "But in this timeline there is no happy ending... fine see if I care your gonna wish you killed her" he slunk away.Those words hurt Sans mind, no happy ending huh? Guess ill have to write own fate.... Sans thought to himself. But I'll need y/n's forgiveness to start on this path... 

It was a while later when I got home "PAPYRUS?" I called out, "PAPYRUSS~" I called again but there was no response, I went upstairs to check if he was in his room. "Paps? you in there?" I go to turn the knob but its locked "Paps are you alright?" I called in. I pressed my head against the door and hear a small whine. "Papyrus..." I say softly. I go back downstairs and get the key chain and come back upstairs and open the door. Papyrus was under his covers in a little ball "DONT COME NEAR ME IM A FAILURE~" He cried out. Sans was taken a back by this "Papyrus no! your never a failure. Whats going on?" I crawled onto the bed and pulled his covers off of him. He then lunged and hugged me tightly "undyne says I CAN NEVER BE IN THE ROYAL GUARD!!!!!" He cried out. 

Sans grimaced, "Papyrus, I know that was your dream, but maybe you can be a chef instead?" He gently rested his head on his brothers shoulder "your n-not mad?" Papyrus sniffled, Sans smiled softly and wrapped his arms around his brother. "no, im never mad at you. Im proud of you but maybe your profession is meant to be somewhere else" Sans tried to comfort him. "so its fate?" His brother asked

Sans cringed at those words "y-yeah... its fate"
