The book was shut suddenly and I looked up to find Yemi. He closed my biology textbook and sat on my desk.

He looked good, our navy blue and milk uniform did well to his skin tone.

My class was wide and painted white just like every other class in Elites. It had charts of several science stuffs, most of which 69% of my classmates ever glanced at, we had just a white board and we were 30 in our class.

While I sat at the front,Yemi was a back bencher.Typical.

"You read too much" He pulled my glasses out from my face.

" Idoit, I was reading about brains, maybe I could help you fix yours" I insulted him.

" Big head, all you do is read, read and read, you are already the best student here, what the hell do you wanna prove again?" He flipped through the pages of my textbook lazily.

" You are just plain lazy that's all. I might be the best student but it takes more hard work to maintain success"I told him.

"Nerd"He snarled at me and I pinched him instead.

My classmates were playing a game, didn't know and wasn't interested until I heard my name.

"What's that special talent you have apart from gluing your face to your book? "Danielle asked, she hated my guts no doubt cos she always came second.

"Minding my business unlike some people" I replied calmly and she rolled her eyes at me.

" You really are Savage" Yemi had his hands over his mouth to stifle the laughter threatening to erupt.

"You taught me"

It was our break period and I went to the cafeteria in Yemi's company. Elites was huge no long capping. About 5 storey buildings, a massive and standard football pitch, a swimming area, a boarding facility and a nice cafeteria if I do say so myself.

It had such homely feels and then it was telling best place to just chill and the food was awesome.

I sat at the far end of the cafeteria as Yemi went to get our snacks and it was at that moment, Ayo decided to walk in.

I wasn't the only one who noticed him, he was chocolate skinned, like dripping chocolate, his orbs were brown, damn, from all indications, God chose brown as a theme color while creating him.

He had his hair styled in a neat afro, his uniform well ironed and tucked in, he had a bored expression on his face as he took calculated strides to his group of friends. I kept watching as he gave them warm smiles, how his lips parted, his lips had touch of brown and pink. He sat down and that bored expression returned again.

"Must you make it obvious?" Yemi snapped me out of my thoughts.

" You should have seen the way you were looking at him, you look like a stalker, the way you were watching his every move, I feared that your eyes would drop"

He gave me my Pepsi and fish pie and held to his fanta and egg roll.

"What do you expect? His handsome" I defended myself.

" And you have a crush on him, don't you?" Yemi smirked at me daring me to lie. I rolled my eyes to hide my embarrassment.

"I knew it, I don't know what charm Snr Ayo has used on Elite girls"Yemi shook his head.

Yeah, Snr Ayo was a year ahead of us, an Ss3 student and also the sports prefect while we were in SS 2.

Apart from the fact he had a cute face, he was tall and according to school ranking he was the best in his class, from the rumors I heard, he was going to be a lawyer and take after his dad.

I took my last look at him again and remembered my dad's warning and at once I faced my snacks.
