Imagine being reunited with Daryl after a herd seperated the two of you.

You kept on checking if there weren't any wounds beneath the amount of blood that covered your arms but all of it belonged to the many walkers you killed. It brought a small smirk to your face. This new world may suck but at least you were an awesome-corpse-killing-badass now.
'You okay?' Glenn asked. He had been walking ahead of you and was now waiting for you to catch up.
'Fine,' you replied with a smile and picked up the pace again. There was someone waiting for you back at Alexandria and every bone in your body was aching to get back to him. Knowing Daryl he would have gone insane with worry by now. Rick was probably having a hard time stopping him from rushing outside to search for your tracks through the entire state of Georgia.
You loved him, with all your heart and the very idea of him cursing everyone into their grave for not letting him go outside made you heart ache with desire to get back to him.
You started walking even faster, was almost running at this point which made a smirk appear on Glenn's features. With as much dignity as you could muster you ignored him and kept your eyes focused on the road before you.
One more turn...
Finally the walls of Alexandria became visible between the trees and now you did start running. Every step vibrated through your tired and aching body but you didn't care for the pain.
The gate was opened before you even reached it. Rosita was waiting for you and Glenn, her eyes scanning the amount of blood the two of you were covered in.
'We're okay,' Glenn reassured her.
'Where's-' 'Weapon's room,' Rosita answered before you could even finish your question. You nodded at her and sprinted towards the house where the weapons were kept.
You could hear him curse at Rick through the walls which made you decide to run even faster. You threw yourself at the door, opening it with a loud bang while shouting out his name.
Immediately the screaming ceased and for one awful second the silence was overwhelming. Then he came walking out of the room and into the hallway. His eyes widened by the sight of you, his cheeks still red from the heated argument with Rick. He studied you, his eyes going up and down your body, scanning for wounds, or maybe just wondering if you were real.
'Daryl,' you whispered hoarsely.
That was all it took for him to drop his crossbow and rush forwards. You barely had time to move before he had already reached you, taking you into his strong arms that felt like home. You burried your head into his chest and couldn't stop yourself from laughing with relief.
He lifted you up and for a second you were weightless then he placed you down again, took your face in his hands and kissed you.
Warmth spread through your veins, as if kissing him was like jumping into a warm bath. You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him even closer as you lost yourself in his touch.
You were home again.
