"Hi! I'm Gidget!"

The five beagle puppies froze in the middle of their game. Someone had just spoken to them. But who? Nobody was here except for the fluffy little cloud- wait, it was moving. Had the fluffy little cloud spoken to them?! This was confirmed true when it spoke again, "I suffer from short term remembory loss."

"Guys, the cloud is speaking to us," one of the beagle puppies whispered to his littermates. A brother whacked him on the back of the head. The rest of the litter stared at the fluffy Pomeranian puppy before them. Apparently her name was Gidget, at least that's what she told them. But what was that supposed to do anyway, make them trust her? The puppies didn't know much but they knew what weird was.

And this Gidget had the word weird written all over her.

Watching as the beagle puppies ran off to the opposite side of the pen, Gidget's ears drooped. Why did no one want to play with her? All she wanted was to play. Was it because of her disability? Was she being too hyperactive again? What was it? What did she do wrong this time?! The questions swam laps in the pup's head. Whimpering, she closed her eyes.

"Why hello little one," a soft voice spoke, snapping Gidget out of her negative thoughts. Blinking her sky blue eyes open, the Pomeranian puppy lifted her head. There were two humans, a man and a woman. They were watching her. They were actually watching her. Putting a smile on her face, Gidget trotted up to them when she caught something out of the corner of her eye.

Her fluffy tail.

Letting out a playful growl, Gidget snapped at her tail. She missed it though. Determined to catch the darn thing, the young Pomeranian puppy ran around in a circle, chasing her tail. When she finally gave up, she looked up to see two humans watching her, a man and a woman. Wagging her tail, she walked up to greet them when she saw the look of confusion on their faces. Oh no, she forgot again didn't she? Her ears pinned against her head as she whimpered.

"Aw, come here little one," the woman spoke softly. Scooping up the young puppy out of the pen, she cradled Gidget in her arms. The man gently scratched the pup under the chin, causing her to giggle. "She's so adorable," the woman remarked. Smiling as he nodded his head, the man turned to her and asked, "Do you think this is the one?" Holding Gidget up in the air, the woman declared, "Oh yes, she is the one."

Gidget's ears perked up. Was this for real or was she dreaming? Was she actually going to be adopted? Her fluffy tail wagged nonstop, the puppy licked the woman's face as the couple went to find one of the pet shop's employees. This was definitely not a dream. This was real. She was finding her forever home at last. The puppy could barely contain her excitement as she lovingly nuzzled the woman carrying her. Closing her eyes, Gidget knew one thing for sure.

She was heading towards a wonderful and happy future for the rest of her life.
