Clueless, that's what he was, absolutely clueless. This short and angry skeleton had no ever-loving clue that you weren't completely human, but you weren't about to burst his little bubble, yet. The red and black skeleton began to rant on and on about how you should fear him and be prepared to get captured and taken to the queen for your soul to be used to escape the underground. As his voice grew louder and louder, your patience began to grow thinner and thinner until you snapped; literally. He kept pointing in your face and yelling, so you did what your instincts told you to do and bite his finger.
He hollered in surprise as well as pain before you let go and glared at his smaller form. Anger and pain were extremely evident on his skeletal features. "WHY WOULD YOU BITE ME, HUMAN?! I CAN HAVE YOU DUSTED FOR THAT!!" He shouted, forming a sharp red bone in his gloved hand. You silently snickered, revealing your sharp white fangs. You're smirk surprising him. "Humans don't turn to dust and I'm not one hundred percent human to begin with, so I don't appreciate you're superiority complex. I also don't like people pointing at me in biting range."
Before the tiny terror could respond back, his brother came waltzing over with a cigarette in his mouth and a tired expression. "M'Lord... What's going on?" He says in an exasperated tone. 'Really, M'Lord? How pretentious is this shrimp?' You thought to yourself. "I was just dealing with this not-so-human, human." He says with a glare shot towards you. "Well I'm not the one making assumptions about people before attacking them, now am I?" You growl. "Sans... I mean, M'Lord! What will you do with them now?" Sans rolls his eye lights over-dramatically. He then pulls your soul out with the flick of his hand and finds your soul to be completely white, but facing upwards like a natural human soul.
"You have no trait." He states quietly; taking both you and Papyrus by surprise. 'He can be quiet?!' You asked yourself, astonished. "Am I supposed to know what that means?" You outwardly respond, not holding back any of your sarcasm. Before you could get a good response back from either of the skeletons, Sans begins to drag you by your soul towards where ever his destination is. Growling under your breath, you cross your arms and glare at the one dragging you. "Where are you taking me?!" You shout. "I'm taking you to Undyne. She'll know what this means." He states, pointing at your white soul that seemed to be encased in this red magic that also surrounded your body. "Thanks, that definitely helps me know what's going on... Who is this Undyne lady and-" "I have no reason to explain anything else to you."
Quietly grumbling to yourself, you sit back and let Sans take you to this 'Undyne' lady's place. You could only silently pray that she wouldn't be as annoying as Sans is.
"If it wasn't for that weird river person, I'd be willing to bet we would still be stuck somewhere between Waterfall or the beginning of Hotland." You say tiredly to no one in particular. Papyrus shrugs as Sans completely ignores you and knocks on the metal door. "Undyne! I am in need of your assistance!"
"What do you want?! I told you not to come back here without... A TEST SUBJECT! Perfect timing, Sans. I was in need of a new lab rat." She said with a sadistic grin as her bloodied gloves attempt to caress your face, but Sans quickly swats her hands away with his own. "That is not the reason for my visit. You owe me a favor and I plan on having you pay it off now by doing something for me." Undyne merely rolled her eyes as she nodded, her grin fading into a displeased frown. She waves her hands to the side with a dramatic sigh as she pushes the metal doors open with her hip. "What do you want, then? I assume it has to do with the hybrid."
Sans nods as he drags you in further with his magic. "As you can see, her soul is strange. Instead of being colored with a trait like other human souls, hers is white like our souls." Undyne then waltz over to the two of you with an impatient expression. Her gloved hands began to press against your soul with an odd softness that was out of character for someone like her.
"She's a hybrid, as I've already stated, though she's not monster in any manner. I assume she was most likely subject to tests on the surface before her arrival here in the underground. Her tail and ears make her look more canine like, but I must check her teeth to see whether or not she is of wolf or domestic dog relation." Her bloodied globes then came closer to you and your instincts immediately kicked in, biting her arm, avoiding her disgusting gloves in the process.
Undyne grinned wickedly at this and took it as a chance to get a better look at your sharp teeth. "Oh, she is part wolf in many different aspects. Where did you find such a fascinating specimen?"
Sans growled at her choice of words. "She is not one of your play-things, Undyne. I found her in Snowdin and that is where she is staying. Consider us even." He then dragged her out of the lab and back towards his home. "Y'know, I can walk, right?" You asked, splaying out as he pulled you along. "I doubt you would follow me willingly. I may be short, but I'm not stupid." "That's up for debate." You counter, grinning. "At least I'm not resorting to snide comments to sound all big and bad." "At least I don't use my brother as a servant to accommodate for my Napoleon complex." "What is a Napoleon and why does it have a complex?"
Before you could respond, your brain finally understood what his question was and you began to bust out laughing. His genuine confusion only fed your fits of laughter. "You creatures are peculiar, that much I know for sure." Wiping away a tear, you look back up at him as he walks into his home. "Why are you keeping me here? I thought this is where you live." "It is and I'm keeping you here because I know you can't escape. The shed is under... renovations. Enjoy this for the time being and don't get to comfortable."
~Time Skip~
After being with the tiny tyrant and his brother, you've come to oddly enjoy their presence. Yeah, sure you still bicker with sans and even fight one another, but you've both come to realize that you both can't leave each other alone. When he's not there, you feel empty. When he is there, you are filled with a burning passion to beat him with a stick until he's nice, but sadly there aren't enough sticks in the underground to make him change. That's one of the strange things that drew you too him, as well as the fact that you both were quite sassy with your arguments.
Oddly enough, he felt something similar. No matter how much he says he hates you or how much you annoy him, he can't seem to get you out of him skull. Your cheeky smile made his nonexistent heart melt and yet he lives to fight with you.
Neither of you would EVER tell the other your feelings, so Papyrus forced to watch the two of you make harsh criticisms of one another with underlying flirtations underneath. It drove him insane and he had had enough. One night he decided to take the both of you to the shed and lock you in there together. "Either address your feelings or I'm leaving you in here until you die."
They both chose death.
