(Aaah, hellhounds.... here we go again. This time, you can choose your breed!~ Since you are a puppy, I'm going to have the Blood-Hound pup be more solid than an adult, but only for certain moments to make sense. The Rot-Weiler also doesn't look as mangled up yet.)
Narrator's P.O.V.
Cold, dark, and empty. This is all you've known in your short life. No mother, or owner to teach you what to do, or to care for you. You were huddled up behind some tall trees, when all of a sudden a loud snapping sound was heard. You then noticed a humongous tree limb land about a yard from you. Your fragile form started to shake in fear, as well as hunger. Nothing to protect you and nothing for you to eat. Was this how you were going to die? Were you going to die alone and in a strange place you were never supposed to be, at this age anyways. You whine loudly, though you know no one would want to help such a strange and 'demonic' being. (Of course they're demonic. They're HELLHOUNDS. They come from Hell/the Underworld. Gosh. Freakin' morons.) Your whines continued until you fell asleep.
Off in Snowdin, there were two skeletons walking through, heading presumably towards the forest, outside the small town. "Hurry up, Papyrus. We need to fix these traps before any humans come down. They may avoid their capture if one has already been set off!" The short one yells, attempting to make the taller one, now known as Papyrus, catch up. "Yes, M'Lord." The short skeleton sneers at his brothers comment, knowing full well his brother won't truly go any faster than the speed he was going to begin with. He was about to make a snarky comment back, but stopped when he heard a loud whine. Papyrus looks in the same direction his brother, Sans, turned to. "What do you think it is, M'Lord? It doesn't sound like any of the dog monsters we know." Sans nods, but doesn't give any other response. Sans then begins to follow the noise into the forest, looking for where the sound is originating from. Sans then moved his arm in a fashion telling Papyrus to follow. Papyrus then starts following his brother, not wanting to upset him anymore.
Sans and Papyrus cautiously walk many trees, looking for who or whatever was whining. "M'Lord? I believe I found something." Sans turned his attention towards his brother. Papyrus was pointing towards a strange looking dog. "It seems to be a puppy still, M'Lord." Sans walks past his brother, ignoring his last comment. "What in Queen Toriel's name is this thing?" "I believe it is a dog, M'Lord." Sans shakes his head. "It looks strange. It mustn't be from the surface. Surface creatures do not look like this." Papyrus nods in agreement. "What could it be?" Papyrus then taps his brothers shoulder. "Maybe we should bring it to Undyne, M'Lord. Maybe she'll know what it is." Sans nodded. "Sure, but she won't be taking it in for experiments. This thing might be useful for capturing humans." Papyrus then picks you up and follows his brother out of the forest.
You were shaking in fear. 'What are they? Where are they taking me?' These thoughts were running through your little mind. These strange beings were very different from yourself. You didn't know where you were heading, but felt slightly safer with the larger of the two skeletons.
Papyrus was walking through Waterfall as Sans lead the way, though Papyrus knew how to get to Undyne's lab on his own. "Papyrus, hurry up!" Sans hollered. Papyrus quickened his pace slightly, but the loudness of Sans' voice caused you to flinch and wake up. You were now whining in fear. "What is this thing whining about?!" You then felt your body getting rocked back and forth by Papyrus, as well as him holding you closer to him. "Sh, it's alright little one. Nothings gonna get ya. I've got ya." Sans huffed and continued walking, trying not to blush at the cute scene he had just encountered. Papyrus thought nothing of it. He thought Sans just wanted to hurry and get this over with.
Papyrus then continued following his brother once you calmed down. You seemed to want to fall back asleep, but you didn't let yourself. Yawning, you laid your little head on one of Papyrus' arms. "Go back to sleep, little one." He said, petting your head gently. You then closed your eyes, loving the sensation of being pet.
"Papyrus!" Sans called, stopping directly in front of Undyne's lab. Slowly approaching Sans, Papyrus looked at his brother. "Go inside and figure out what this creature is." Papyrus, hating Sans calling you these names, begrudgingly walked into the lab.
"You should stop being such a pushover. There is a reason I installed weapons for you!" Undyne scolded, fixing Napstaton for the umpteenth time. Napstaton just nodded and hovered away, not noticing Papyrus as he passed him. "I swear, I should have just left him as a ghost! He's so problematic!" Undyne says, pulling at her hair in frustration. She then catches sight of Papyrus. "Oh, Papyrus. Now why would I be getting a visit from you?" She says, strutting in a psychotic manner towards Papyrus. "Are you here for a checkup?" Papyrus could tell she wasn't meaning a real checkup. She had a way of twisting her meanings.
"No. I'm here for some help." Papyrus then lifted you up so Undyne could see you. "My my, what in Queen Toriel's name did you find?" Undyne said, rubbing her chin while she pondered some thoughts. "You want to know what it is, don't you?" Papyrus nodded, putting you back in the cradle position. You, loving the warmth, snuggled into his arms.
Undyne then started typing into her computer, digging through files of information as well. "No. Not that. Definitely not this. Too colorful. Too fluffy. Ah ha! Maybe this!" Undyne then clicks on the file titled, 'Ancient Human Mythology'. She then started to scour through all the different creatures. "Papyrus. Bring that thing over here. I need a comparison." Papyrus nodded and brought you over, sitting down with you in his lap. She then pulled up the document holding all the information on 'Hellhounds' and started comparing.
"Papyrus?" Undyne said, sounding serious. "Yes, Undyne?" Papyrus said, petting your head gently. "You are petting a hellhound pup..." A look of shock crossed Papyrus' face as he stopped petting you momentarily. This caused you to wake up. "A-Are you serious? A hellhound? Th-there's no way that could be right!" Undyne just shook her head. "She fits the description of one, though my document here says there are many different breeds of them." You looked up at Papyrus with innocent puppy eyes. His 'heart' melted at the sight, but started to question a few things. 'How can they look so innocent when they were born in Hell?'
"I can also tell you that you're holding a little female pup." Looking down at you, Papyrus smiled. "I've got a female hellhound pup sitting in my lap? I never thought those words would come from me." Undyne then walked over to you and picked you up. She had a sadistic smile on her face. "I've got a great idea!~ Fuhuhuhu." Before she could run off with you, Papyrus snatched you from her grasp and held you close to his chest. "No can do, Undyne. M'Lord doesn't want you doing any experiments on her." Undyne, displeased with his actions, then forced him out of her lab. "Then I can no longer keep you in here. Bye-Bye!"
"So, what is it?" Sans inquired, sounding as impatient as usual. Papyrus just rolled with it. "She is a hellhound pup, M'Lord." Not expecting this outcome, Sans froze. 'A hellhound? Oooh this is new!~ It can definitely be used to capture humans!' Sans then regained his composure and looked at you carefully. "We shall keep her and train her to be powerful enough to capture and kill a human." Agreeing, and not wanting to anger Sans, Papyrus nodded.
You on the other hand, started to move around, yipping at something you saw. This got Papyrus' attention. "What're ya doin', (Y/N)?" You stopped yipping and turned towards Papyrus, tilting your head in confusion. "Who is (Y/N)? Is that what you're naming her?" Sans asked. Papyrus nodded, shocked by the name he just blurted out. "Yeah. That's what I'm going to name her. (Y/N)." Sans smirked to himself. "Well we best get (Y/N) back home and prepare her for her training tomorrow. I, the Great and Malevolent Sans, shall be the one to get her necessities. Mwehehe!" Sans then ran off towards Snowdin, obviously to go get your necessities.
"He's going to by more stuff for trapping humans than things you'll actually need." Papyrus said with a sigh. "Oh well. I'll get ya the stuff you'll need after he goes to sleep. It'll be easier that way." You, not understanding a lick of what he just said, just yipped in response.
With you being a puppy, your energy levels were at maximum, meaning you were a ticking time bomb of energy. Papyrus could feel his arm being attacked by your tail/rump (rump, meaning your tail end/where your tail would be. The Goregi and the Rot-Weiler both don't have tails.) Papyrus knew that if he set you down, he'd have to chase you down, so he decided to teleport you both home. "This is your new home, (Y/N). You're gonna have ta get used ta the place, but I think you'll be fine."
Jumping out of his arms, you start to search your new territory. You will have to protect this new, strange area and keep intruders out. Sniffing and yipping could be heard all over the house. Papyrus chuckled at your behavior, but wasn't surprised to see you do it. Walking into the kitchen, you start to smell something delicious. You hopped onto the counter with slight difficulty, but you managed. You then looked at the sink, which was extremely low, in curiosity. Hopping inside, you start to mess around with it, causing the water to dribble out. This scared you immensely, so you yelped and sprung out of the sink quickly. Papyrus then came running in and noticed your cowering form in the corner and the sink dripping lightly. He chuckled and made sure to turn the sink completely off before he picked you up and left towards his room.
~Small time skip brought to you by, Inu!Swapfell!Papyrus and Prince!Swapfell Sans~
Kicking the door open, Sans comes rushing in with bags of stuff. "I've bought the necessities needed for keeping the hellhound!" Sans then sets up a doggie bed in the living room. The food and water bowls were set in the kitchen, and Sans also put some other stuff, like toys, in a large box labeled, '(Y/N) the Hellhound'. Sans smiled at his work. He had carved your name into the box once he finished buying everything.
You jumped from Papyrus' bed and scampered out of the room and towards Sans. "There she is." Jumping up and down with glee, you yip and circle Sans. Sans just smiles and picks you up. Since Papyrus was asleep and no one was around, Sans decided to snuggle his face into the crook of your neck. "Your such an adorable pup, though your looks are very strange. I cannot wait to train you tomorrow."
Sans, feeling a suddenly drowsy, begins to yawn. "Maybe, maybe a little rest wouldn't hurt." He then yawns once more and lays on the couch, you being snuggled closely to his chest and your head underneath his. Sans was asleep in mere moments, but you were out before he even laid down.
"M'Lord does have a soft spot." *click* "Heh. At least we have that in common." Papyrus said smirking at the picture on his phone.
(I hope you all enjoyed!
