A small red and white creature swam through the depths of the sea as quickly as her fins would let her, but the hunter's' boat was much faster. Their radar keeping perfect tabs on her movements as she made her way through the dark abyss she calls home. The child twisted and turned as fast as she could, nearly clipping several rocky reefs, but she soon feels a large net sink and wrap around her.

Trashing and screaming, the little hybrid began to cry. Her sharp, skeletal fingers trying to get the foreign material off of her small form. "Mama! Papa!" She cried, hoping her parents could hear her.

Seconds later, the net begins to raise up from the dark waters and reveal a small mermaid/skeleton creature that seemed to be no bigger than the average toddler. The human closest to her seemed to be revolted by her appearance. "What the- What radiation got to this part of the water?! Are we sure we didn't just catch an escapee from the waters of some chemical plant?" He yelled to his higher up. "I don't know; don't look at me for answers!"

Fell's head raises in worry as he hears the cries of his daughter. "I knew we shouldn't have let her play on her own! Frisk, we have to get her!" He called through gritted teeth. Frisk silently nodded with a saddened expression. She shook her head and swam as quickly as she could after Fell, following wherever the older merman was heading.

"Sir, we have two large blips coming closer to our location! What should we do?" One of the workers yells, turning away from the radar. The Captian turns from his location and sees no boats in the water. He then raises his finger silently to his underling while checking the sky outside. Not taking the absence of something as a cause to blame the machine, he decides to have someone check the waters. "They must be quite large if this radar is picking 'em up." He says with a sigh. "Probably has something to do with our strange catch. The thing didn't seem that large; probably only a child. Wouldn't it be-"

Before the man could finish his sentence someone at the aft of the ship could be heard hollering that their was two more of those creatures following the ship. One looked to be a mermaid while the other was a skeleton like mermaid/man. "Captain, one of them looks rather aggressive and seems to be heading for the bottom of the ship!" The captain then began to speed up the boat, attempting to travel faster than the beings could swim, but they just kept going faster and faster.

Fell, through sheer anger and determination, was able to swim beneath the ship and began to drag his sharp claw like fingers through the metal bottom. A devilish grin plastered on his face as he surfaced for the ship's crew to see. He then held his hand up to show large pieces of the metal.

"Captain, we have large gashes in the bottom of the ship. If we aren't careful, then we might sink out here without a way to escape these things. Maybe we should toss back the other thing we found that are just like them." The captain nodded, but his face held far more anger than he was letting on. "That thing could have racked in a lot of cash for us, boys. Toss it back!" He ordered begrudgingly.

As the men began to grab the net the child was in, sharp teeth found their way into one of the men's hands. The poor girl was terrified and had no clue what they were trying to do. Tears were pouring down her cheekbones as she released the most heartbreaking cry.

Fell and Frisk both hear their child's cry and attempt to climb onto the ship while it was moving. The crew, minus the one fellow bleeding from his wounded hand, tear the nets off of the child and help heave her over the aft of the ship so that she can be with her family. The ship, though moving quickly, is still in the process of sinking. All the men begin to prepare rafts to escape the sinking heap of metal.

Frisk immediately darts towards her daughter and surrounds her in a large hug. "Are you alright?" She quietly asks with concern. The child nods silently as she snuggles closer to her mother. "I'm sorry." The little one continued to repeat. Fell gently swam over to his family and held them both close to him. "You have nothing to be sorry for, (Y/n). It was those cruel fishermen's fault for all of this." Frisk cooed, rubbing her child's head gently, attempting to calm her down with the soothing gesture.

Fell nodded, kissing the top of his daughter's head with a grin. "We'll always be here to protect you, (Y/n). Always remember that, sweetheart. We love you."

"I love you too, Mama and Papa."

(Yooooo, I just finished another chapter! I've had this one in the works for a while now and I'm so happy it's done. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Have a wonderful day!)
