Ink's P.O.V.

The delicate strokes of my paint brush slowly eases the stress that seems to cloud my mind so often. The colors begin to blend as my worries start to fade. Never have I been this calm while painting, but I guess this is what it's like to have peace in the multiverse.

Nightmare is no longer a threat to anyone and is now happily living in his AU with his brother, Dream. He had gone through a difficult procedure that Doctor Gaster, Alphys, and Science!Sans had preformed on his soul. It was an honest miracle that we were able to capture him in the first place, but curing him was much more difficult.

Since his curing, the multiverse has begun to become far more peaceful. We have had no contact, or problems, with Error since we've saved Nightmare. At first we were all on high alert, but now we've relaxed. He hasn't shown himself in months, but that doesn't mean we aren't ready for the worst.

Speaking of expecting the worst, I've been preparing a sort of guardian that will help me protect the AUs. She's a little art project I've been working on for a few months now. (Much like me and this oneshot.) She's a small humanoid fox monster with a unique ability.

Sadly, I haven't been able to get all of the details finished yet, but she looks passable as a normal, AU born monster. She's smaller than I originally had planned, but I think her quirky (BNHA fans come at me) ability shifts the height factor out of the equation.

You see, her abilities tie in with Broomie's ability to create. Whenever Broomie paints over her, she will change her form into something entirely new. The only downfall in this, is that she cannot shift on her own.

She's currently on the canvas I'm working on, but I'm stumped on what color to paint her fur. I've had these two colors stuck in my head, but I couldn't decide. Eventually, I came up with the idea of letting her decide.

Author's P.O.V.

Ink carefully pulled Broomie from his back and began to paint over his small creation. The paint delicately covering her form.

After her entire body was covered in the blueish colored paint, the drawing began to flex and move as if someone was trying to tear through the canvas. Suddenly, the fox like monster girl, clad in white, fell to the floor. "Ow..." she said, rubbing her head in pain.

"Hiya! I'm your creator, Ink! Let me help you up." He then offered his had to the new addition. "Are you ok?" Her only response was a nod and she took his hand. "Good, I don't want you getting hurt on your first day of being alive!" His face holding a child like grin as he pulled her up and hugged her.

"Now, I have a simple question to ask you. What color do you want your fur to be?" The fox girl tilted her head and answered with a quiet, "(F/C)". Ink nodded, painting her entire body in the color she so wished to be painted in. Shuddering from the cold liquid reaching her skin, she begins to lay flat in order to get it over with much faster.

After a minute or two, her entire body was a mixture of different shades. She smiled to herself as she stood to her full height, barely reaching Ink's chin. He chuckled as her fur tickled him. "Now, what should I name you? That's always been a difficult decision to make." He then began to pace back and forth until a light bulb went off; literally. He drew a light bulb above his head.

"I'm going to name you (Y/N)!" You nodded, feeling a strange force driving you to agree with the creative skeleton. "Now, I know you have a lot of questions, but let me explain. As I've already said, my name is Ink and I created you!" He said with a bright smile, ruffling your new (F/C) fur. "I really need your help on protecting the multiverse when the Star Sanses aren't available, ok? You have an amazing gift. You can change your form with just a swipe of my Broomie!"

(Y/N) just nodded, not knowing who the Star Sanses are, or what a multiverse is. "Can you please help me? I know this is a lot to ask, but it's difficult to fight off multiple villains by yourself." Nodding in agreement, (Y/N) sighed; scared of what she might have just gotten herself into.

Before Ink could reply, Dream comes speeding into Ink's void. "Ink! Ink, you have to help! Cross is invading another AU, and this time he's out of control! I can't get through to him!" Dream cries, afraid of the pain Cross is causing to others. "Alright, which AU?" Ink says, getting himself prepared. "Dancetale! He's attacking Dancetale!" Ink immediately begins to open a portal to Dancetale, (Y/N) following along out of curiosity and her need to protect with Ink.

Cross smiled deviously at the new arrivals. "Welcome to the Party, Ink. Wanna have a dance with the Devil?" Ink could tell as soon as he entered Dancetale, that something was amiss with everything. Something else was pulling the strings here, or maybe it was someone. Ink couldn't tell who.

Before Cross could see (Y/ N), Ink ran Broomie  down her back and changed her form into a small wolf pup. Her colors changed to match that of a naturally born pup, but her eyes shown a bright (E/C). She then ran off into a random direction to discover whoever was causing Cross' strange behavior.

Ink then stood straight and ran towards Cross, who was raising his giant knife in an attempt to kill Ink while he was distracted. His swing missing Ink entirely as the painted skeleton begins to paint all over the snow covered path. Cross chuckles. "You missed each and every one of those attacks, Ink! Where has your wonderful aim gone, hm? Are you to afraid to hit me because I'm one of your 'friends'?! It's pointless, Ink! You can't save me! YOU CAN'T HELP ME!"

Before Ink could respond to Cross, a row of paint covered strings begin to get pulled away by a small wolf pup, dragging two skeletons behind her. Ink chuckles as he runs Broomie over her once more, causing (Y/N) to return to her original form and color. She then quickly wrapped the two skeletons in the ink covered strings, only to find that one of those skeletons was Error. "Why am I not surprised? You always seem to be the puppeteer of these little game of charades. Your lucky I didn't let her drag you over here by her teeth, Error."

Error only rolls his eyes both (Y/N) and Ink drag the two skeletons with them into a portal. Ink smiled and looked at (Y/N). "This is going to be the beginning of a great team up!" (Y/N) couldn't help but smile along with him. Who could blame her? His smile is contagious.

(Hope you enjoyed! Have a great day and be kind to one another. Thanks for sticking with my bull crap as I slowly begin to start writing again. Gosh, I feel like crap for leaving all of this for so long.)
