"Fairies? Frisk, you want to go looking for fairies?" Sans asked. The child nodded their head and pointed towards a large hill. They then made hand gestures to Sans, telling him there's a flower filled meadow beyond the hill. Sans nodded, remembering the beautiful meadow the kid was referring to.

"Sure, I can take ya there, but what are you gonna catch them in?" Frisk gave Sans a shocked and hurt look. "I'm not going to catch them! I'm going to befriend them." The kid signed. Sans nodded, grinning per usual. "Alright kid, I'll take ya." Frisk jumped up and down with glee.

Sans chuckled and held the wrist of the mute child, making sure his grip wasn't to tight, or loose. He then looked down. Frisk smiled right back at him. "Ready?" Frisk nodded, their enthusiasm being extremely evident.

Sans then teleported the child to the meadow, letting go of their wrist. They giggled and ran off to find some fairies. Sans, being the lazy man he is, decided to lay down in the flowers and catch some Zs. Frisk could take care of themself, so he didn't worry to much. Plus they aren't that far from the house, and no one lives anywhere near them. Sans then shut his eyes and fell asleep.

Frisk skipped through the flowers, looking for a specific spot to look for fairies. Coming up to a large tree, Frisk noticed all the flowers gathered around it. They all seemed to be (F/F)s. They looked so beautiful beneath the large oak tree. Frisk then saw a quick blur of light fly past them, causing them to stumble back a bit.

'Wow! What was that?' Frisk thought to themself. The blur then made another appearance and zoomed past them again. Looking up, Frisk saw a tiny person sitting on a leaf. 'It's a fairy! Oh my Asgore! I've gotta tell Sans!'

Frisk quickly texted Sans and attempted to FaceTime him, but he didn't answer. Huffing in defeat, Frisk looked back up and saw that the tiny person was gone. 'Dang it. I must have scared it away.'

Unbeknownst to Frisk, the little fairy was watching them in curiosity. Flying towards the child, the fairy decided to hide above their head.

~Frisk's P.O.V.~

I was running towards Sans, or where I last saw Sans, and found him sleeping on the ground. He looked so peaceful, so I decided to wake him up. I started shaking him, but the only response I got was a loud snore and a snicker/chuckle. (you're not you when you're hungry)

'He's messing with me, huh? Alright, fine. I'll play your game Mr. Font.' I then push him up off the ground, slightly. Then the fun began. Letting go of Sans, he falls to the ground with a slight thud. He then pushes himself up and looks at me with a glowing blue eye, telling me that I messed up. "You weren't waking up and I needed you. This was the only thing I could think of."

Sans then let himself relax. "Kiddo. Don't do that again. It hurts more than you think it does." I nodded, feeling bad for what I did, and looked at the ground. "I'm sorry, Sans. I didn't mean to hurt you." I then feel a hand ruffle through my hair. "Don't sweat it, kid. Everyone makes mistakes."

~Sans' P.O.V.~

The kid felt horrible after they hurt me, though I knew they did it to be funny. I forgave them, not wanting them to cry. That's when I saw it. I saw a little person hovering over Frisk's head. They had these almost transparent wings that were tinted (F/C). Then I saw their face. It was actually quite cute, though I couldn't see to much of it. Their (H/C) hair was (H/L) and flowed gently with the wind.

They looked at me and gasped, hiding behind the kid's head. "Hey, Kiddo? Don't freak out, but I think you've got a fairy in your hair." Frisk's face held a look of shock. "Really?!" They signed, looking for the tiny person in their hair.

The fairy then flew out from behind them and landed on a flower. I used my magic to gently pick them up and place them on my hand. The fairy squeaked and tried to hide herself, but found she couldn't move. "Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. We just wanted to talk to ya." Frisk nodded, rushing over to see the fairy.

"We've never seen real fairy before. I always thought they were some legend that mothers came up with to keep their daughter's entertained." The fairy looked up at me and shook their head. "I'm as r-real as you are, Mr." I chuckled at her comment.

"Name's Sans. This kid here is Frisk. They can't speak, so they use their hands." Frisk then waved. "I'm (Y-Y/N), the M-Meadow Fairy." I chuckle, noticing her shy personality. Frisk then tapped my shoulder. I turned to look at them. "Whatcha need, Kiddo?" They then signed something extremely quickly.

"Kiddo. I can't understand your quick hands. Slow down, alright." They nodded and slowed down. "Ask her if we can come visit her. I think Goat Mom wants us home for dinner soon." I nod and look at the fairy in my hand. I released her from my magic, letting her freely move.

"Hey, (Y/N)?" The fairy looks at me once more. "Y-yes?" "Do ya think we could come and see you again? Frisk here really likes ya and I'm quite intrigued with ya. Is that alright?" She looks away for a moment. Nodding shyly, she stands on my palm. "S-Sure. Just... don't tell anyone about me, please?"

I hesitate. Lord, I hate promises. I nod, knowing it would be simple for me to do. "Hey, Frisk. Don't tell everyone and their mothers about (Y/N), alright?" They nod and smile, giving the fairy in my hand two thumbs up. (Y/N) nods and flutters off to wherever she was heading off to.

After teleporting the kid and myself home, I lay on the couch. My brain began to fill with thoughts. 'Fairies. They actually exist. Who would have know? Wonder why no one sees them.' I then head to bed, not really feeling hungry enough to eat.

~Narrator's P.O.V.~ ~Time Skip~

Sans and Frisk had met the meadow fairy around five months ago. Both the human and monster child had grown quite close to the fairy, causing her to slowly break out of her shy little shell. She was now far more used to talking to them than she was before. Speaking of which, that's what they are doing now.

Sans, holding the fairy in his hand, was having a nice chat, even throwing in some puns, with the mystical creature on his palm. "So, I have a question for ya?" The fairy giggles and nods. "Why are you the only fairy we see here?" (Y/N)'s smile falters for a moment. "Oh, I live here alone." Sans' smiled turns to a saddened frown. "Why's that?"

(Y/N) starts to tear up. "My-My family was taken away from me... Y-You know h-how kids like to catch lightning bugs?" He nodded, listening intently to her. "Well, when we fly, we look like them and some children catch us and keep us in those glass jars, starving us to death. That's what happened to my family... That's why I was so afraid of you and Frisk."

Sans could feel his heart break. 'This poor girl. No one should go through this kind of pain, ever.' Sans thought. He then held her close to his chest. "I promise. I won't let anything happen to you. Not while I'm still breathing." The little fairy cried into his large chest, thanking him for his kind words.

"I won't let your light go out."

(Boom, that's another one! I hope you enjoyed. Sorry. This one isn't the greatest, but I tried. See y'all in the next chapter!)
