She put him out
Like the burnin' end of a midnight cigarette
She broke his heart
He spent his whole life tryin' to forget
It had been years since (Y/n) had broken up with G. G never completely got over their relationship and he couldn't move on. His soul seemed to cry out for the lost connection it once had with the sweet neko. Taking a long drag on his cigarette, G began to walk into his apartment. None of his picture frames hanging on the wall, except for the one of him and his brother.
As he entered his empty room, a faint yellow glow seemed to encase a small, worn out picture of two people. Tear stains were evident on its crumpled surface as it grew closer and closer to G's hands. Grasping onto the old picture, he begins to hold it closer to his chest and he walks to his bed. His eye wonders towards the image as he sees (Y/n) and himself smiling and holding hands at a carnival. They were both smiling and enjoying their time together. G sets the image down inside the ash tray and begins to put his cigarette out on it.
We watched him drink his pain away
A little at a time
But he never could get drunk enough
To get her off his mind; until the night
His stiff body begins to rise up from his bed as he makes his way to the kitchen. Yellow magic opening his fridge before he's able to see the object. A bottle of whiskey, encased in the same magic, floats into his hand as the fridge is slammed shut. The cap already popped off as he's downing the entire bottle. His brother, Papyrus, barely visits due to his drinking problem. He loves G, but he can't stand the drunken state G is almost always in. Frisk feels guilty for the whole break up, so she has kept her distance for a while now, due to one of G's drunk rages.
G regrets it all and wishes he had never pushed his friends and family so far away, but the pain in his soul for the woman he lost is far greater. As he's finished his first bottle another one appears in his hand, still cold and lidded. A simple pop from his magic had the lid flying and the cold, burning liquid returning.
He put that bottle to his head
And pull the trigger
And finally drank away her memory
After hours of downing bottle after bottle, G's body began to grow weak. His magic unable to handle the massive amount of alcohol he just drank. Bottles littered the room as he stumbled his way to his bedroom. Mind a haze, he walked into his door frame and fell over. He chuckled to himself and held his head as he got up. Slowly, his feet brought him to a large oak desk with papers covering it. His hands swiftly began to search for a paper lost to time, but not his drunk mind.
Life is short
But this time it was bigger
Than the strength he had to get up off his knees
As he gripped the paper he was looking for, his body began to give out. He stumbles to his left and collapses on his bed, fast stuffed into his pillow and arms wrapped tightly around the old paper. He tries to rise, but his entire being is denying him any strength; his magic failing him.
We found him with his face down in the pillow
With a note that said,
"I'll love her til I die"
Papyrus, coming to check up on his brother, opens G's door and calls for him. Not a sound was made throughout the small apartment. This worried Papyrus to no end. His soul began to beat faster and with nervous hands, he opens G's bedroom door. Hands shaking and sockets watering, Papyrus finds his brother's dust laying on the bed. Clothing still laying where his brother's form once was.
Walking over with an overwhelming amount of sadness, Papyrus begins to look at the remains of his brother. Sobs of guilt and sorrow rack through his body as he finds G's note. He knew his brother was hurting, but he didn't know what to do and now his brother was dead because of it. He had to let everyone know, but as he was walking through his brother's home he noticed the extreme number of whiskey bottles. "He drank himself to death, just like I tired to warn him."
And when we buried him
beneath the willow
The angels sang a whiskey lullaby
"~La la la la la la la, la la la la la la la~"
Family and friends, or what remains of them anyways, gathered for G's funeral; clad in black and sadness draped over them. Not a soul spoke of the girl who he died over; not wishing to bring up such a sore subject at a time like this. Then again, maybe no one wanted to say something because of her presence at the funeral. His urn filled with dust had been laid beneath his favorite willow tree. It seemed to be the only spot that G enjoyed on the surface, besides the bar and Grillby's new surface location. No one paid mind to the fleeting figure as (Y/n) ran off.
The rumors flew
But nobody knew how much how much she blamed herself
Harsh words spread like wildfire after the funeral and the majority of them were directed towards the neko. Every night she tore herself apart mentally over his death and the painful rumors. She knew it was her fault for his death, but she couldn't do anything about it. The poor girl didn't mean to hurt him. (Y/n) was just scared of going further in their relation ship. She wasn't trying to tell him to never come back and now he's gone; never to return to her.
For years and years
She tried to hid the whiskey on her breath
Quickly exiting her car, (Y/n) takes a sip of her flask. Her large trench coat hiding the gray/silver object from prying eyes. Her friends knew she drank, but no one understood how bad the problem truly is. Swift strides cause her to reach her small abode much quicker than usual. She was rushing for her own privacy, away from the eyes of those around her and into her own private world. Alcohol filling her senses as she takes another swig from the metal flask.
We watched her drank her pain away
A little at a time
But she never could get drunk enough
To get him off her mind; until the night
Being so closely related, genetically, to a human was one of her least favorite parts about herself. It was soon to be her very downfall. Her mind fuzzy after down an entire bottle's worth of whiskey, she begins to stumble in her steps as she goes to grab another for her flask to be refilled with. Her hands shaking from the alcohol. The flask spills on the floor as her hand releases the metal container. Grabbing the bottle of whiskey, she decides to abandon the small container for the larger quantity found inside the second bottle.
She put that bottle to her head
And pulled the trigger
And finally drank away his memory
She then begins to down the bottle as if she were a baby drinking milk from a bottle; suckling like her life depended on it. Excess whiskey spilled from the side of her mouth as she began to drink more and more, until she needed to stop for air. Nearly half the bottle's contents were gone. Her body began to shake violently, but started to stumble her way to the bedroom nonetheless. Her trust bottle still in hand as she slammed her door open. Never taking her eyes off of the bed, she begins to wander towards it.
Life is short
But this time it was bigger
Than the strength she had to get up off her knees
Her body began to give out as she fell into her softly covered bed. Whiskey bottle falling from her limp grasp and spilling out on the floor below her. Her tail, once known to happily swish behind her, can be found weakly laying tucked between her legs. With what little strength she has left, she lifts herself up and grabs ahold of the picture frame beside her bed. The object covered in dust, but her heart couldn't leave it in her last moments.
We found her with her face down in the pillow
Clinging to his picture for dear life
"Hey, (Y/n)? Are you ready for our movie night?" Frisk calls, entering the quiet house with grocery bags full of snacks. "(Y/n)? You home?" She called out, nervously setting the bags down. She knew how Papyrus found G and it's too recent not be in the forefront of her mind. Quickly jogging to her friend's room, she screams as she sees her limo form laying in the same position Pap for his brother's clothing. Poking (Y/n)'s cheek, Frisk felt the coldness of her skin and sobbed. "Not you too." She whimpered. A shine seemed to catch Frisk's attention as she finds the picture frame tightly clutched in her friend's grasp. "You never stopped loving him, did you?"
We laid her next to him beneath the willow
And the angels sang a whiskey lullaby
Few people arrived at the neko's funeral, but all who were present had tears streaming down their faces. Her urn, after the cremation of her body, was gently laid next to G's. The spot of their first kiss being their final resting place. Before everyone left, a gentle hum could be heard from beneath the willow tree. A young child in which on one knew, began to sing a long forgotten tune. "~La la la la la la la, la la la la la la la~.
~La la la la la la la, la la la la la la la~
~La la la la la la la, la la la la la la la~"
