Narrator's P.O.V.

"Where did you get this egg from, Dream?" Ink asked the adorable skeleton. Dream smiled, cuddling closer to the large egg. "I found it all alone. I don't remember exactly where I found it though." Ink chuckled and walked closer to the egg, observing every inch of it. "I wonder what will hatch from this egg?" Ink said out of curiosity, making his voice sound more childish than usual. Dream nodded, snuggling closer to the egg once more.

"Dream, you need to be careful. You might crack the egg. You're holding it so tightly that your knuckles are turning white." A chuckle leaves Ink's mouth as he tries to cover it with his hands. Dream looks at his hands in confusion, only to look back at Ink I'm embarrassment and cute anger. "They're always white, Ink." Puffing his cheeks out in his adorable anger, Dream turns away from Ink, snuggling the mysterious egg again.

"Aaaw come on Dream. Don't turn your back on me." Dream then began to stop snuggling the egg. He then looked towards Ink, motioning him to come over to him. Doing as the little skeleton said, Ink walked over.

The shell of the egg began to crack and both the skeletons stared in awe. Never have they seen such an amazing scene play out before them. Slowly they see a small yellow colored thing push through the shell, slowly getting closer and closer to its freedom. "Ink, look! It's almost out!" The chirping like noise emanates from inside the egg. Finally a small bald eagle like head finds its way out of its prison.

"Aaaaw! It's a baby eagle!" Dream gushes. The little creature then starts to break all the way out of the egg.

Once the top of the egg was removed, Ink and Dream could both see that this was no bald eagle chick, but something entirely different. "Oh my stars! What is it?" Dream looks at the creature in curiosity, as well as confusion. Ink shrugs, not having a clue what it could be. "I'll go find Sci; he'll know." Ink then painted a spiral of paint on the ground and hopped in.

Dream, being left alone with the adorable creature, started to think of name's. "Fluffy? No, that's more of a poodle name. Maybe... nah, that's a cat's name. Oooh! How about a more human name, like (Y/N)? I like that name!" The little creature chirped in what Dream counted as agreement. "Then (Y/N) it is. Now we have to wait for Ink to bring Sci."

Ink, looking through Sci's AU, came across the Librarby. Looking around the misspelled establishment, he found himself in a strange section. Running his phalanges across the worn spines of the books. He stopped on a book called, "Strange Creatures of Mythology". Picking up the book, Ink began to run through the pages. Each page filled with exotic colored creatures, strange names, and even stranger creatures.

Finding something that caught his interest, Ink stopped at the page. This page was all about this spirit called a Banshee. "A female spirit whose wailing warns of an impending death in a house. These spirits mainly haunt family members of their past household." 'Nope, Nope, Nope. Not what we're looking for.' Ink thought flipping around some more.

Suddenly stopping on another page that seemed to resemble the creature in the egg, Ink began to read. "A mythical creature with the head and wings of a bald eagle and the body of a lion, typically depicted with pointed ears and with the eagle's legs taking the place of the forelegs."

Ink's eye sockets widened. 'So that's what hatched from the egg.' Ink then decided to check the book out, somehow. Walking over to the librabrian, (Lol) Ink asked if he could check out the book. The monster just looked at him for a moment. "You'd like to check this book out?" Ink nodded. The monster shrugged. "You can keep it, if you'd like. No one around here reads it." The smile on Ink's face could rival that of Blue's when he's on a sugar high. "Thank you so much!" Ink says before rushing out if the building.

Ink then nailed someone as he came flying out the librarby door. "Oh my stars, I'm so sorry." The fellow monster chuckled and all to familiar chuckle. "It's alright, Ink."

"Sci! You're just the skeleton I was looking for! Can you come with me really quick? I need you to help Dream and I identify a creature." Ink asked in an excited rush of energy. Sci nodded, intrigued by the idea of a new creature he'd be identifying.

"We're here!" Ink hollered. Ink then say an adorable sight before him. The little creature, he believes is a Griffin, laying snuggled up closely with Dream. Dream was laying directly on top of the the hatchling, which was laying in his lap, whilst they both slept peacefully.

"Aaaaw!~ Look at that!" Ink said, taking a picture of the sight and sending it to the Star Sans group chat, plus Classic, and Fell. Sci smiled, finding the sight to be quite adorable.

"From the limited amount of the creature I can see, it looks like a lion, eagle hybrid. I believe they are called Griffins." Ink smiled. "So the book was right!"

Ink's sudden outburst caused Dream to wake up with a jolt of fear. "Oops..."

Dream looked towards Sci and Ink, but laid his head back down. He was to tired to care. This little griffin was a lot more work than Dream had thought, but he also didn't know what it was. Either way he was tired and he didn't want his sleep to be bothered by anything.

Slowly snuggling back into the adorable creature's feathers, Dream drifted back to sleep. "You're my fluffy birdy." Was the last thing to come out of Dream's mouth before falling back to sleep.
