#2 Gran Torino

Izuku couldn't help but groan as his body fell down in a heap, his arms and legs were screaming at him to stop but he wanted this done. The trashed beach that he had been told about with One for all had been the start of his training. Nana had suggested it as the beach was once beautiful, having went there multiple times with Toshinori. "Come on boy! You can do it!"  Daigoro had been shouting at him the entire time, he had been the fifth user of One for all and had been the most verbal of his body, coitizing him to push forward. "You want that scrawny body up against villains like All for one! KEEP PUSHING!" Yoichi couldn't help but sigh as he watched the boy from his mind push forward.

"Alright thats enough." Nana said kneeling down next to him. Small pink smoke had been easing out of Izuku's body. She looked at it curiously before looking up at her master En who had been looking at it with keen eyes. "It seems he's slowly unlocking all of our quirks as his body starts to develop." He said simply, his high collar looked onwards at the endless sea and hummed. Izuku slowly sat up, pressing his head against the concrete from the edge of the beach as he looked at the large amount of trash. "You're doing well, if you stay on this level you will be able to be ready for the UA entrance exam without a sinch." Nana encouraged as Izuku looked a little gloomy at that and she faltered seeing it. "I need to work harder... I have to blow the test out of the water... If i want to catch up." Nana's eyes softened at the words as she sat down next to him.

"Your talking about catching to that boy. Kacchan was it?" Nana asked as Izuku smiled slightly. "Katsuki... Kacchan was a nickname for me... I couldn't say his name at all right when I was younger... so it kinda just stuck." Nana hummed in acknowledgements. "He does seem sprightful... for the cutesy nickname." She joked as the boy nodded his head. "He... kinda bullied me for being quirkless... but I never hated him for it..." Nana's eyebrows furrowed, concern on her face. "I think he felt betrayed that I didn't get a quirk... not like it was my fault or anything... he was just a kid when he started it so..." He trailed off before smiling slightly. "When he told me to catch up it made me feel hope that maybe it could go back."

Nana looked at him curiously. "Go back?" Izuku nodded his head turning his head towards her. "We were going to be 'the best hero duo in existence.' tm." Nana snorted at the tm while Izuku looked at the beach again and stood up once more. "I'm going to continue for a bit." He started to move a tire before Nana stood up and tapped his shoulder. "I think you will make the best hero. And if this Kacchan is smart, he will be a sucker to not have you as a ally." Izuku smiled as he hauled up the tire. "Thanks Nana."

Nana watched the boy for a bit as he hauled the trash, as he turned he saw a small flash of her son in Izuku and she felt a wave of emotion floor her. She rubbed at her eyes while she turned around and saw Yoichi looking at her in concern. "You okay Nana?" She laughed and shrugged. "As much as a dead person can be I suppose." She trailed off before looking at Izuku work his way through all the trash. "I guess our only purpose now is to make sure he is the best hero he can be." Yoichi patted her shoulder and said. "You can always ask him to do something for you. I'm sure you of all of us have some regrets that wouldn't be terrible to tie up."

She nodded her head and sighed. "I guess Sorahiko might be the best physical instructor we could ask for him." Yoichi nodded his head, having seen the man through Toshinori's life many times. "I'm sure he would be best, though the real issue is his need to beat sense into Toshinori..." He trailed off, while Nana nodded her head, she wouldn't know what he would do to the blond knowing that the quirk willingly left him for his actions. "We will see."

...

Izuku looked down at the address that was held in his hand and then looked back up confused. "Is this really the right place Nana?" He looked over and saw a small smile and nodded. "Yep, this is the place alright." looking around he started pacing in front of the door before he finally got the courage to knock on it. A moment later a very small old man opened the door and Izuku looked down at him curiously before down at the note in his hand. "Um... Mr Torino, sir?" The old man looked up at the boy and said. "I ain't buying what your selling." He was about to close the door before Izuku said. "I'm here cause of Nana Shimura." The door halted its movement and the elder looked up at the boy with calm and calculated eyes.

"Get in." Izuku smiled brightly and walked in, Nana floating after him watching the exchange. "How do you know that name boy." The elder was calm, but inside he was ready to duke it out with the teenager if he said anything wrong. "It's because of my quirk..." it wasn't a lie... quite yet... Nana had told him to lie about One for all so no one would be suspicious of him getting so many quirks. "My quirk recently came in... it was dormant until I met All might.." He paused as he looked at the man who was listening intently. "It allows me to interact with quirk factors that are lingering... Nana said she was All might's mentor before she died so she was following after him... and I accidently brushed against her and her quirk was there."

he paused for a moment before he said. "And so was a little bit of the other One for all quirks... Nana told me."  Sorahiko sat back in his chair and sighed slightly. "Well I guess I can't really question your authenticity if you know about One for all." Sorahiko leaned forward and said. "Then I guess i'll have to talk to All might about you-" Izuku paled before Nana started to say. "Tell him no." "No!" Izuku paled as he had shouted and looked away shyly. "Nana said that it wont be necessary. Since All might's injury would make him one of the worst people to train me, so she asked me to find you." Sorahiko looked at him inquisitively.

"Very well... but if Nana is here then, I need you to tell me something only she and I will know." Nana pursed her lips while Izuku looked up to her while she was thinking for a moment before she paused... "I have no child...none..." Izuku repeated it and Sorahiko's eyes widened as his eyes closed. "Very well." Standing up he looked back at the boy, his eyes were calculating before he said. "Wait here." Izuku and Nana looked at each other while Izuku muttered. "What did that mean?" Nana smiled grimly as she shook her head. clearly not wanting to talk about it. Izuku frowned while he fiddled with his fingers.

Just as he was getting fidgety the man came in with his hero costume on, Nana smiled slightly, reminiscing of the man. "Alright, show me what you got." The man clapped his hands while Izuku looked at him as if he was crazy. "U-um..." Standing up the man was giving him a clear look of indication. "Come on, come at me." Nana snorted and said. "He's testing you. Use everything you learned." Izuku gulped slightly as he went into a short stance, he pushed off with his foot to try and catch the man but the older hero disappeared, Izuku felt danger sense urge him to move, but he was to slow and he felt a kick hit him in the back, falling to the floor. "Ow..." Izuku twitched as he slowly stood up and looked around to see the Sorahiko in the corner of the ceiling.

"Come on boy. You gotta catch me to prove your worth." He dashed all around and Izuku's eyes started to move left and right, trying to find a pattern as the old man tapped him on the shoulder, pushing him ever so slightly which made him grit his teeth. It was no clear indication where the pattern was, but Izuku had saw it. Izuku crouched and gave a swivel kick towards the older man and watched his eyes widened as he dodged out of the way, but just as he was moving away he saw Izuku move faster towards him, a very familiar quirk appearing in front of his eyes as Izuku flew at him. That moment was when Izuku got ahold of him and Sorahiko gave a small huff.

"Lucky I got distracted..." Nana smiled slightly at that, knowing that the man had been going slower then normal to make sure that he didn't injure the boy... and the quirk float appearing before his eyes probably gave him a small shock. "I guess with that quirk alone you convinced me... But you said you have the others ones too?" Izuku nodded his head. "Well, they seem hard to control... One for all especially..." He trailed off remembering his first time attempting to harness the energy and Nana immediately cut him off to lower the output of the energy, it was so much he felt his hand was on fire.

"I see, does that also mean you can interact with all the past one for all users?" The man asked and the boy nodded his head. "Yes, the first one for all user was the one to fully tell the story... about his brother." Sorahiko dusted his shoulders off and nodded his head. "Very well, you have potential then, having not one but multiple quirks to master will defiantly need to be cultivated. I am assuming you are aiming for one of the top Hero schools?" Izuku nodded his head. "Yes! I am aiming for UA. Since its so close and also considered the best!" Sorahiko nodded his head in understanding. "That means we have only eight more months to get you into shape and to get a grip on those quirks. You have any formal training done?"

The boy flushed in embarrassment. "N-not sense Nana has been instructing me... Kudo and Daigoro too... I've been trying to mimic some of the moves i've seen from other heroes like All might and other top tier heroes. Though I can only get a grip on some of the moves when i haven't fully seen them in person... All of my quirks are also way different from anything i've seen or even experienced, besides One for all's strength enhancements, I tried to use it but my hands get super strained and the heat and pressure it generates is like nothing i've ever felt, maybe Kacchans explosions but even then it is so intense I can't even-" "Jesus christ boy! Slow down!" Izuku fell forward and looked embarassed. "Sorry... I got lost in thought." Nana patted his head and he looked up at her slowly. "Don't be sorry, its just who you are kiddo." He smiled brightly and closed his eyes. "Thanks Nana."

Sorahiko gave him a eye as he said that before he ignored it, guessing he really did converse with the quirk factor... hearing Nana's name though did make him feel a mixed amount of emotions, happy, and sad being the forefront of his mind as he had wondered so many things... "I would like to ask Nana a question boy... if you could tell me her answer." Nana looked on curiously as she scanned him. "Did... I do good enough?" Izuku looked up concerned for a moment as Nana smiled brightly and gave a hearty laugh. "Thats what your worried about!?" Izuku translated with a small smile as Sorahiko looked towards Izuku. "You did well training All might in my stead." izuku paused as he said this and Look up at Nana. "Wait he trained All might!? You didn't tell me that! You just said he was a friend of both of yours!"

Nana looked at him and gave a shrug. "Well when i died someone had to take over his training, god knows he would of been lost without Sorahiko." Izuku felt a little lightheaded as he looked over at the man in awe. "Alright, stop gawking brat... You earned my respect enough from the stunt you pulled catching me... don't try and lose it." Nana leaned in and said. "Thats high praise coming from him." Giving her a side glance he nodded and bowed his head. "Thank you sir." He lifted his head up and the man waved him off. "Go on home boy, Whenever you can return back to me I will have had your regimen figured out."

Izuku nodded his head and gave another bow. "Thank you again." He started out the door and closed the door, breathing in the air he looked back at Nana who was going through the door, as ghosts do, he gave a small smile towards her, he had wondered how his days would of gone if he hadn't had gotten the quirks Nana had given him... probably would of been studying like nothing had happened after meeting All might... He looked onwards before he thought back towards saving Katsuki... would he have been able to save him without a quirk?

He thought for a moment before he shook his head, that wasn't the thing he should be thinking of, more of what he can do now... He looked onwards at the big city that he was in and gave it a big smile, he was willing to take anything anyone could throw at him... hero or otherwise...
