Entry #13
So, our adventure yesterday. It was quite an interesting one. And we discovered some pretty cool things.
We hopped on the bus and it took us to a small seaside village-like place and we got off and began our adventure. It reminded me of the place we had gone to along the beach, with cookies and the pastries shop. The breeze was nice and the streets weren't packed. There were a few cars passing by, and people waling about, but there wasn't as many people as the last place we had went. We decided that we had chosen the perfect place to have an adventure.
There were art galleries and accessory shops along the street and we stopped at nearly every single one. There was even an old bookstore with used books, as well as new books, for sale. Cecilia sighed as Sarah and I went crazy over the books and the smells of the paper.
For lunch, we chose a quiet little sandwich shop and as the other two sat down and held down a table for us, I was elected to go and order everyone's food. And the person at the cashier was none other than the guy with the sandy bangs. I recognized him and he nodded with a small smile. "Thanks for the coffee" I said, then he said, "My pleasure". I ordered three turkey avocado sandwiches and he threw in a free coffee for me. Again. I almost dropped my money in surprise. But he did so in such a calm fashion that I took it with a quick thank you and walked back to my friends. The sandwiches were delicious and the coffee was nice too.
I wonder why that small town was so charming. It was more like a one street, calm atmosphere of the sea, with shops and food. I loved it too. Sarah loved it for the art galleries and Cecilia loved it for the food and the accessory shops. I guess it will be perfect place to come back to. And maybe bring Mel as well.
Signing off,
Naomi
P.S. Note to self: I really need to find a way to pay back the guy with the sandy bangs. Mr. Sand (new nickname).
