Kingdom Come

We approach the gates of Cloud Kingdom.

"Welcome to Cloud Kingdom. We've been expecting you." An old person walks up to us, opening the gates.

"Ha, how are we-" Jay asks.

"Standing on a cloud? Easy. In other Realms, there are other rules. I'm Fenwick. I've been asked to show you around." Fenwicks says.

"Nice to meet you. I'm-" Kai holds out a hand.

"Kai, yes, we all know. You're quite popular with the other monks. Up here, we see everything that goes on in Ninjago." Fenwick cuts in again.

"Then you know-" Cole says.

"You've traveled far for the Sword of Sanctuary, a powerful weapon that can foresee your opponent's next attack. It's also the second clue to finding the Tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master." Fenwick replies.

"Blimey. But how be you-" Zane asks.

"Finishing your sentences? I know, it's rather annoying, but up here we know, let's just say...we know what's going to come next. Come, I know Morro isn't far behind. Follow me and I'll explain." Fenwick leads us into the library, where monks are writing on scrolls.

"Wow, it's the Ninja." We hear some monks gasp.

"I know you're familiar with a few of the Realms. Cloud Kingdom is just one more of the Sixteen Realms that exist parallel to Ninjago." Fenwick says.

"Sixteen Realms?" Kai gasps.

"In this realm, we strive for greater understanding and let go of distractions. There is no television, no video games-" Fenwick explains.

"No video games? Hmmph. Not impressed." Jay hmphs.

"It appears all any lad does here be writing." Zane notes.

"That is because here, our words matter. You see, in Cloud Kingdom, we are the writers of destiny. It was here that it was decided that Lloyd should be the Green Ninja. And just now, that Zane should find his voice again." Fenwick smiles.

"I sense my vocal pattern has returned without any repairs." Zane says, in his normal voice. Dang, it!

"Ugh! He doesn't talk like a pirate anymore." Jay sighs.

"How'd that happen?" Cole asks.

"It was written."Fenwick simply answers.

"Hey, guys, he's writing about Dareth!" Jay accidentally spills ink on the scroll.

"Oh, poor Dareth!" Monk Boy gasps, and Jay nervously laughs as he leaves.

"If you know what's going to happen next, then you know how important it is for us to get the Sword of Sanctuary." Kai says.

"Yes, and I know you made a promise to save your friend Lloyd. Sadly, we cannot ensure promises, because we aren't allowed to choose sides. And no one else will tell you this, but we had intended for Morro to stay in the Cursed Realm." Fenwick's voice drops to a whisper.

"What do you mean intended?" Cole asks.

"He was never supposed to escape. He somehow defied destiny. And now we're playing catch up. Do you think we wanted you to become a Ghost? That's preposterous. Ever since Morro broke free, things have been happening outside of our control. To be honest, we don't know how this will end." Fenwick shakes his head.

"Then quit talking and give us the sword. We'll find the tomb and stop Morro." Kai vows.

"Look, we wanted to give it to you, but first, the Master Writer wants to see you." Fenwick says.

"Fine, then show us to this Master Writer." Kai sighs. Fenwick leads us to a skiff.

"So this Master Writer, he'll decide if we get the sword just by looking at us?" Cole asks.

"It is an important decision, one that will not only decide the fate of Ninjago but the fate of the Sixteen Realms." Fenwick replies.

"Do you know what's inside the tomb?" I ask.

"I do. Morro's after the Realm Crystal. It's the doorway to the Sixteen Realms." Fenwick answers.

"Wow!" Jay gaps.

"It is a bridge to greater understanding...or a gateway to ruin. When the First Spinjitzu Master created it, he knew the power to freely cross realms could never fall into the wrong hands, which is why he buried it with him in his final resting place. A tomb protected by impossible traps that only a Master of Spinjitzu could get by with the aid of the Sword of Sanctuary." Fenwick starts, painting a very realistic picture/story. Freaky. And trippy.

"But I thought Morro just wanted to be the Green Ninja. What does he want with the Crystal?" Cole asks.

"It is not Morro who sees the power to ruin, but his master, the Preeminent." Fenwick answers.

"The Cursed Realm. He's in charge?"Kai says.

"Not he, but she. Queen of the Cursed, an evil so vengeful, she cannot crossover by any other magical means. But if Morro uses the Crystal to free her, after cursing Ninjago, there will be no stopping her reign until every last Realm falls under her control." The picture fades away and we arrive at a building. "We're here! Wasn't that a lovely ride?"

"Yeah, you paint a lovely picture." I grimace.

"Now if you just wait in here, I will be back with the Master Writer in a moment." We walk in the tower.

"Oh, look, a pinball machine! Ah, it may not be a video game, but it's the next best thing." Jay cheers.

"Strange place to meet this Master Writer." Zane comments, staring at the plethora of stuffed animals.

"Yeah, I thought this place didn't have any distractions. Looks to me like they just shoved them all up here." Cole says.

"Yeah!" Jay laughs.

"Hey, leave that stuff alone. We want to make a good first impression." I snap.

"Oh, just one game. Whoever had this high score is going down." Jay cheers.

We hear a distant sound. "That machine sounds strange." Zane says.

Jay loses the game and groans. He stops playing the game, but the sound won't stop. "Oh, that's not the machine!"

"Then what is it?" Kai asks. A lightning bear looking thing appears. We start screaming as we are slowly approached by Lightining Bear.

"I don't think he likes you trying to break his record." I yell.

"There goes our good first impression." Cole sighs.

"Is this the Master Writer? He's in charge of our destiny?" Zane says.

"Whoever he is, I don't think he's handing over the sword." Kai yells.

"It's locked. Why would it be locked!?" Jay tries to open the door, but it's locked. Lightning Bear grabs and shocks him. "Okay, so now I know how that feels."

Kai jumps behind a giant stuffed animal. "Over here, big guy!" Kai yells, and before he could strike, he jumps away. Lightning Bear hugs it, awe he's a softie. Kinda like Lloyd. "Ah. Oh, so you like your toys, huh?" Kai grabs a smaller toy. "Stay, big fella, or I'll break it. Stay, stay. Hurry, find a way outta here." Lightning Bear whimpers.

"Damn this Bear's a softie. Kinda reminds me of Lloyd." I comment.

"Hurry!" Kai yells.

"What am I doing? I'm a Ghost." Cole goes through the wall. "Oh, I'm such a dummy."

"You can undo the locks!" Jay yells.

"I'm a Ghost, not a locksmith. I need a key." Cole snaps.

"Be the key, Cole. Be the key!" I sigh.

"Oh, good idea." Cole goes inside the keyhole and frees us.

"You know, Cole. I'm starting to like you as a Ghost more and more." Kai says.

"Look! Morro is here! With Fenwick!" Zane says, pointing to a nearby bridge.

"Oh, traitorous Fenwick! I knew I didn't like that snob." Jay snarls.

Cole runs ahead. "Come on!" We leave, Airjitzuing among the bottom of the islands, and climbing around.

"Fingers tired. Legs about to give." Kai groans.

"Ow! Stop using my face as a foothold. You're not making this any easier." Jay snaps, as we jump on the bridge where Morro and Fenwick were.

"You're alive!" A monk gasps.

"No thanks to Fenwick." I spat.

"Fenwick's convinced there's no way to stop the Queen of the Cursed, so he's agreed to help Morro only to help himself. But he doesn't know you've escaped. You have to get the Sword of Sanctuary, or else Morro will have too big of an advantage." The monk informs.

"Tell us where it is." Cole asks.

"The tallest tower. But you must hurry, they're already headed there." The monk says.

"Guess there's no time to take the stairs. You thinking what I'm thinking?" Kai asks.

"Airjitzu?" We ask.

"Cyclondo?" Jay asks, and we groan. "Why isn't it catching on?"

"Be careful, little monk." Cole says.

"You too." The monk runs away.

"Ninja, go!" We use Airjitzu and use the skiffs as a platform.

"Sorry, just passing through." Cole says, and we approach the window. We bust in, like some James Bond movie or whatever, and start fighting him, but Morro dodges all our moves.

"Too late. I know your every move." Morro cackles.

"We'll see about that." Kai says, throwing his Aeroblade, but Morro dodges it, and jumps out the window.

"I think he saw that too." I sigh. We chase after him.

"There he is." Kai points to a green figure on a nearby rooftop.

"Get him!" Cole yells, and we jump, but Morro escapes.

"I hate that sword." I groan.

"Why fight? I'll win every time." Morro mocks.

"Doesn't mean we can't try." Cole says, as Morro uses his Wind to throw bricks at them.

"Watch out!" Kai yells.

"Cyclondo!" Jay yells, and we Airjitzu to the next rooftop.

"Beautiful day for roof jumping!" I pant.

"Bye, bye, Ninja." Morro lands of a skiff Archer Boy and Ghost Girl possessed. Ghost Girl screeches, making us fall and land on a skiff.

"Still passing through. Uh, on second thought, mind if we borrow your skiff?" Cole asks, and the monk nods, as he gets off. We race towards Morro.

"Aargh! How do you control this thing?" I yell.

Lightning Bear grabs our skiff. "Get him off! Morro's getting away!" Jay yells, but by some miracle, Lightning Bear turns to Fenwick. Fenwick screams as Lightning Bear chases him.

"Look! There!" Kai points.

"Hold on to your buckets, gang. Looks like the ride ain't over yet!" We go through the eye.

"Ah! Why aren't we flying anymore!?" Jay asks.

"We're not in Cloud Kingdom anymore! The rules don't apply to us!" I shriek, as we catch up to Morro.

"Aha! Got you now!" Kai says, about to jump on their skiff.

"You really think so?" Morro blows us in another direction.

"Abandon ship!" Zane yells, as we crash, but we use the debris as skis, not a shabby idea. "Ah! Haha. Hello, haven't we met before?" Zane laughs.

"Don't they ever quit?" Morro groans.

"What's up bro! Beautiful day for skiing! Why not come with us?" I ask, skiing down the mountain

"Your ride is kind of slow, huh?" Kai asks, but runs into a tree.

Jay rides in the front part of the skiff. "Oh, why do I get the uncontrollable sled!?"

"Hold on, Jay!" Cole yells.

Archer Boy aims an arrow at Jay but he dodges. "Haha, missed!"

"I never miss." Archer Boy snarls.

Jay screams as the arrow chases him, but collides with a log instead. "Phew. Hahaha." He sighs.

"Come in, Bounty! Come in! Hope your jets aren't cold, 'cause we're coming in hot!" Kai yells.

"We know what Morro wants with the tomb. He's after a crystal that can unleash the Preeminent to curse the Sixteen Realms." I inform.

A water balloon hits Jay. "Hey! Watch it!" Jay snaps.

Sensei descends on the Bounty's anchor. "Need a lift?" We all climb up, expect for Kai.

"Oh, I've lost sight of Kai." Jay says, as the skiff turns.

"Keep following them." Sensei commands.

Kai goes back to the Bounty, with the sword, and everyone cheers.

"You got the sword, but how?" Sensei asks.

"How else? Working together. Lloyd fought Morro like a true hero." Kai says.

"If Morro defied destiny, then why not us?" I ask.

"He may have gotten Airjitzu first-" Zane says.

"Uh-uh, you mean Cyclondo?" Jay corrects.

We sigh loudly.

"But we got the sword!" Cole says, and we cheer.

"Now all we have to do is find the tomb, then it's smooth sailing." Sensei says.

"But who here knows where the tomb is?" Ronin asks.

"Oh, man." Cole sighs.

"Come on, you all seemed so confident!" Ronin reasons.

"Ugh, you ruin everything!" Nya groans.

"I'll say it once, and I'll say it again. VIBE RUINER!" I yell.
