Her eyes peeled open and she scrambled getting out of the bed and to the bathroom. A wide smile plastered on her face. She get dressed whilst singing her heart out, unable to contain the joy that was blooming in her heart.

She looked at herself on the mirror, complementing on how beautiful she looked that morning. She needed some motivation, she guessed.

She bounced to the the kitchen, meeting Tom on her way there. She gave him a broad smile and chuckled.
"Morning, Tommy!"

She greeted him. Tom frowned but laughed at her. She looked so happy that day, and it made him happy too.

She sat and started to eat her breakfast. But her mind couldn't stop thinking about her meeting today. She was eager, but she was nervous as well. Like- so very nervous.

"Ready for the meeting, Y/N?"

He asked, receiving a loud sigh from his best friend. But she was still smiling.
"I'm fucking nervous right now."

She said casually. Tom chuckled under his breathe. She usually cursed while talking like that only when she was so afraid or nervous.

"I'm sure they will like you and your book. You're an amazing person."

"Thank you, Tom."

She continued to eat her breakfast. She glance at the the clock and noticed that she got a few hours left before the meeting.

"Y/N, do you that you're beautiful?"

She almost choked when Tom asked her that. His eyes found hers and he was smiling genuinely. A rosy blush creeped on her face, and she chuckled nervously.

"Such a beautiful and a kind person."

He added, only made her face as red as tomato. His face was serious, and he wasn't joking. It made her even nervous until she felt like she wanted to hide under the table.

"Tom, why out of all sudden?"

She tried to hide her blush but she knew that she failed miserably. He just shook his head and cracked a small smile.

"I just need to let you know. That's all."

He reasoned, then looked away from her. She bit her lips and calmed herself down. When Tom looked her in the eyes just now, she saw something in his eyes. Something that she couldn't tell.

"Does he feel the same towards me or it's just me?"

Her heart was debating against her mind. Her mind was stopping her from thinking that way towards Tom, alerting her that she was with Sebastian. But her heart was saying otherwise. And by the look of his eyes, it made them harder for her.

"Your meeting is in another two hours, right?"

Tom asked, more to make the awkwardness that started to grow in the room disappeared.

"Yup. Why?"

Tom gave her a warm smile.

"Can I come with you? Just to motivate you and all."

He asked hopefully. He thought that she might need some companion. She just shrugged.

"Yes, of course. But Seb will take me there."

She told him. His face dropped and she could feel the tension that grew in the room. He didn't say anything, he just stared at her with wide eyes. She saw something in his eyes- pain.

"Tom, are you alright?"

She was concerned. She put a hand on his arm, making he came back to the reality. He smiled forcefully and nodded.

"Yeah, I'm alright. If in that case, I'm just going to stay behind."

He smiled sadly at her. Y/N frowned and shook her head.

"You just can come with us. It's not like Sebastian could see you. I just need you there."

She persuaded him but he shook his head. He put a hand on her shoulder comfortingly.

"Just go without me, Y/N. I know you'll do just great with or without me."

He was trying to sound comforting, but his voice cracked and he didn't know if Y/N noticed it or not.

"Tom, how could you say that?"

She looked hurt. But he decided not to think about that because he was hurt too.

"Sebastian will be there for you. Just tell me about it when you come back. Then we'll celebrate."

She nodded weakly and smiled at him.

"I might don't get it so please don't think about celebration yet, Thomas."

She joked. He squeezed her shoulders and looked into her pair of beautiful eyes.

"You will get it."

"I might not, Tom."

"I believe in you. So why wouldn't you believe in yourself?"

Tom asked, a pure determination in his eyes. She took his words as a charm and nodded.

"I can do this."

She said, making he chuckled softly. He kissed her forehead and lingered there for seconds, something that he never did before. She couldn't help but melted under his loving gaze.

But her mind acted fast, making her pushed him a little bit and she got up.
"I- I need to take my stuff."

She said and walked towards her bedroom, leaving Tom looking at her until she was out of his sight.

This woman was blinding him, he couldn't see which was right and which was wrong. All he knew was, he couldn't wait any longer to tell her that he fell in love with her.
