"I'm sorry."

I turned my attention from Grace to Scott. I slowly moved next to Shelby and took her hand. "What do you mean?" I asked Scott. "He was shot, in the head and heart. I'm sorry.." Scott broke off with his voice slightly cracking and tears starting to show in his eyes.

Shelby ripped her hand out of mine and put the over her mouth as my eyes teared up. I looked away. I looked over at Grace who went back to the couch and looked down.

"Did Grace say anything?" I quietly asked Mariel. She shook her head as she replied "No, not a thing, all she said was how 'He sacrificed his for mine! I should be dead not him!' She feels guilty."

Me and Shelby had two other dates like this, but this was probably going to ruin every date me and Shelby go on now. I let out a sigh as I looked at Grace, Shelby, and Scott were playing Candy Land.

I yawned as I opened my eyes slightly. Last night was horrible, I looked over at Shelby (she is asleep during this) She had barely slept a wink last night, I was more surprised that she fell asleep. I had managed to get up without waking her.

I walked downstairs to see Grace munching on pancakes with Scott. "Mariel asleep?" I asked Scott. He replied with "No, she went out to the police station." "Oh" I said.

I smiled when Shelby came down at 11:38am. "Morning Sunshine." I said, "What time is it?" Shelby asked "11:39 am" Mariel replied. "WOW, I DONT EVEN GET A HELLO!" Shelby looked at me, then look back at the counter and helped herself to the leftover pancakes.

I rolled my eyes and got up when there was a knock at the door. I opened the door an saw that it was a police officer. This was going to be a long day.

"GRAZER, WHAT'S HAPPING?" I heard as I stopped talking to a police officer and turned my head to see Liam running towards us. I let out a sigh and turn to the police officer and say, "give me a minute". The police officer nods his head and walks away.

I let out a soft sigh, and my mind suddenly thinks

'How do I tell you? How do I tell you Liam?'
