P A R T Y

You stand at the doors of a vast castle, a castle known all over the world; Hogwarts. Once again, you check your pocket for your ticket to one of the Crazy Fam’s famed birthday bashes. You’ve heard that this time it was for Ana McSprinkles and apparently it was going to be insane.

A bustle of activity surrounds you as you wait in line - well, line was much too generous. A higgledy piggledy squiggle of Wattpadians was more accurate - to get into the castle.

You take in the scene before you with awe. You spot Olivia Rose, the matriarch of the conquerors of Wattpad in the distance, growing blood red roses to creep around the walls of the castle. Her twin, Maegan, is just as busy. You watch in fascination as sparks dance between her fingertips, forming into balls of lightning which she then traps in glass spheres, hanging the trapped lights around the castle walls as if they were mere string lights.

Suddenly a dark haired girl in a black cloak rushes past, and you jump back before she can ram into you. She makes a beeline for another black haired girl though this one was in a silver cloak. “La! The lights and suits of armor in the Great Hall still need to be enchanted, and you're the best in charms! We need you inside!”

“Okie, Dynosaur!”

“Staph calling me–”

La rushes off.

Dy huffs, shaking her head in the fleeing La’s direction, then dashes off. “Think Aunt Mimi’s decorating the garden, she’s the best at Transfiguration after all—”

“S’cuse me!” A pink haired girl squeezes past the line, a large silver cardboard box floating before her raised wand. “Got the cake, now Ana can make her wish!”

A boy, glowing with a faint yellow aura, trails behind her, carrying a pile of boxes that would have been too heavy for a normal human. “Coming through! Saiyan coming through!”

“Xav!”

The boy stops, turning to the girl behind him. “Huh?”

“Do you know where Ana and Lon are?”

“Lon’s bringing Ana here, he’s been stalling her.”

“Right, thanks. I need to find Olly, I forgot when the fireworks are supposed to start—”

“Mom’s over there,” the pink haired girl pipes up, tilting her head in the direction of Olivia. “Good luck Esme!”

“Thanks, Gigi!” Esme runs off.

You’ve been so busy watching them, that you fail to notice you’ve reached the end of the line. Two girls raise their eyebrows at you, expectantly holding out their hands, palms up.

“Ticket?”

“Uh–” you stammer, before realizing what they mean. “Oh!”

“If you don't have a ticket lemme tell you I brought my chopper,” the girl in a red cloak says, grinning in a way that makes you nervous.

“And I have a chainsaw!” This time the mauve cloaked girl, who you realize is Katia, is the one to speak up. She grins at you. “C’mon dude, give up the ticket.”

“I have it here!” you finally get ahold of your ticket and thrust it out to them. “Here!”

“Le sigh. No murders today I guess.” the red cloaked girl, who you now recognize as Choppers, sighs in disappointment and takes your ticket. “Inside you go!”

“Try not to die!”  Katia cheerfully calls after you as you step foot into the great hall.

Just then a great cheer rises all around. You turn back to see the ghost and the frog prince, standing at the foot of the stairs. Lon, the frog prince has his crown perched on his head as usual, his green cloak fastened with an emerald.

The ghost is luminous. The rainbow coloured sprinkles in her dark ebony hair, glisten in the moonlight more than ever, and her ruby red lips are graced with a wide smile. A soft blue aura emenates from her, happiness radiating in her countenance. As they begin to ascend the stairs, you realize who she is.

Ana McSprinkles.
