Episode 3 ( part two )

• The next morning •

• Grace & Andrew bedroom •

Rolling over to be greeted and met by the body of my husband was not what I had.

Instead I got cold sheets, on the other side and a missing pillow.

I rubbed his side of the bed before pulling the sheets close to me as his scent of cologne linger on them.

Sitting up I let out a deep stretch before getting out of bed.

Walking into the bathroom I did my daily routine.

30 mins later......

I was now dress for what I thought was a good outfit to crossover spirits.

Gosh this Job comes with a lot.

But I loved it because it was apart of me.

I then slip into my heels as I brush my hair.

Applying my lipstick, and earrings I grab my phone and headed out the bedroom and downstairs.

I had to pick up gabby but Melissa wanted some breakfast so I told her that'll I'll meet up with her.

As my heels hit the last step I walked over to the living room where I saw Andrew still asleep.

With his blanket hanging off his body I walked over to grab them.

Placing the blankets back on his body he groan before his eyes open.

" I fell asleep on the couch I had a long night" he tried to explain through countless yawns.

" it's fine, I was just headed out anyway Melissa wanted breakfast and I could also pick up gabby in the process" I told him

" okay"

Just like that he rolled over to where his back was now facing me, and drifted back off to sleep.

I stood there for a minute as I pulled my bottom lip In.

" of course your still mad" I utter slapping my hands down on my pants, now walking away from him.

I could hear the moving of the couch as his feet hit the floor.

" wha..what are talking about I just said okay" he said now standing in the middle of the floor with nothing on but his shorts and socks.

" it wasn't what you said it's how you said it, and then I get your back turn towards me.  I get it, you don't like what I do, and you don't like that our daughter has it but Andrew I'm your wife not your girlfriend. So, you sleeping on the couch without even coming upstairs to make things right, to cuddle with me and not still hold what happen last night over my damn head" I told him.

He rubbed his sleepy eyes now walking where I was standing which was by the front door.

" are you serious right now?, grace i just came home like an hour ago from a rough night I headed upstairs, grab a pillow, and then went to sleep. I didn't think me not being next you was a sign of anything. As far as your gift goes, I never meant it like how your trying to put it..."

" I can't. I have to meet Melissa and try to cross this girl over we can talk about this later"

" there you go. Every time I get started with the truth you run off"

" I run off" I mocked with sass

" yeah grace you do. You're doing it right now, but it's fine you do what you do best. By the way we won't be talking later because I have a double shift tonight"

My face was redder than an apple as Andrew walked away taking his blanket back up the stairs.

" ugh" I grunted before darted out the front door.

I needed to get my mind focus and off these crazy arguments that me and Andrew are starting to have out of now where.

• Elena's breakfast and coffee •

Parking my vehicle beside Melissa car I stare out my windshield and towards them.

They was already seated at the booth as gabby was playing with her dolls.

Then I noticed kent was also with them.

Only if he could go talk to his brother in law.

Retrieving my phone my lock-screen appeared with Andrew on it, and I quickly toss my phone to the other seat.

Not wanting Melissa or gabby to think anything was wrong with me, I got myself together and headed out the car.

Walking into the restaurant gabby didn't waste no time calling out for me.

" hey honey, how are you?"

" good. Just waiting on you so we could eat, come on mommy"

Gabby then slip her little fingers into mines as we headed back to the booth.

" well I thought we was waiting for everyone, hi Kent" i said with a smirk.

" hey grace" he spoke

Mel was already chowing down on some bacon.

" well this was all I order until you got here. Now that you are here... let's eat!"

Shaking my head I allow gabby to get in the inside of the booth as I took the outside.

We then placed our orders as the waitress was so sweet and friendly.

" wait I was hoping to see you know who don't tell me he still mad from last night?"

" I guess" i shrugged my shoulders " we got into it this morning about him sleeping on the couch but blaming it on him working long hours"

" no, he didn't do that"

I then gave Melissa the " he did" stare as I slid gabby straw into her cup of water

" I don't know why we've been bickering like this I mean it never happen before. Ever since he knew that gabby was different, things been so discombobulated" I said stressed.

" well you have to think grace, it's not like it's you and you can handle those g.h.o.s.t"

" ghost" gabby said out loud as Melissa eyes shot her way.

" uh no sweetie don't mind me I was just saying things"

" here gabby how about you go get us some donuts over there by the counter" i told her.

" How about I take her over" Kent suggested.

" yay donuts I like the chocolate ones" she said jumping up and down.

I then scooted out the booth allowing her to go get donuts.

" here baby" handing her some money she walked over with kent to the counter.

" he also have a daughter to protect and with what you already experience from them and he's dealing with it now that Gabrielle goes through the same thing it's a lot of a man. Just try to take it easy on him okay"

" I hope you're right" I chuckled while taking my coffee up to my lips.

As the plates was getting served and just when I was about to dig into the pancakes gabby was coming back.

" come on gabby it's time to eat now" I said

She was just like her aunt always excited when she sees food.

" excuse me" an unfamiliar voice said to me.

With some eggs in my mouth I covered up while looking up.

" yes" I said.

" im sorry to bother you at this moment and I know you don't know me but I'm sorta having this issues... um I can't really say"

She then glance over at mel, and Kent who was looking her way, and also gabby who was watching her.

Swallowing my food I was able to speak " it's okay their my family so anything you have to say to me you can say in front of them.

" okay but it deals with this entity that's been causing my life  hell I don't know why."

" mommy, she's bleeding" gabby said before digging into her grits.

" bleeding honey I don't see.." now looking back at the girl blood was starting to come out her nose

As she took noticed of it she quickly walked away and I followed.

" gabby mommy will be right back" leaving her with my sister I headed outside the doors.

" it's happening again" she whimper. While walking in a circle.

" okay calm down, first what's your name?" I asked

" it's Avery Wilkins" she said while applying pressure to her nose.

" nice to meet you Avery I'm not sure if you know who I am or not..."

" I do. Your grace myers one of the best ghost whisperer that I've heard of, well I saw you on the internet and the work that you do is incredible"

" thank you, so what kind of thing other than a nose bleed had been occurring?" I inquired.

" there's a lot that I can tell you most of them are to embarrassing to say, and others are just being haunted every night and day, even at school. everywhere I go, anything that I do somehow gets ruined by some unknown thing. It's to the point where I don't want to do anything with my friends anymore. As you can see I'm covered from head to toe hoping that I don't get notice and yet it finds me."

Taking notes of what she's telling me I allowed her to finished talking.

" if you can remember when did these paranormal activity's began?"

She fumbled with her clothing as she was thinking.

" two months ago." She stated.

Thinking back as to who might want to cause this young girl so much problems my mind reverted back to that young girl at gabby dance recital.

" this might be a total stretch, but I was visited by a young girl who seems very angry at what happen to her. She showed up at my daughter recital and afterwards she threatened to continue to make a girl suffer, her name was Susie..."

" wait. Did you just say Susie as in Susie Wilkins?" She asked perplexed

" well she never gave me her last name, but how do you know her?"

Tears rolled down her cheek but she swept them away.

"Yes!. Susie is my sister. She passed away from a tragic accident two months ago... hold up so you meaning to tell me that my own sister has been causing havoc on my life?" She frown

" it wasn't no tragic accident she killed me" Susie said with anger.

When she said that strong winds pick up causing Avery to fall back onto the pavement.

" see like that. Was that her?"

I nodded my head and she smack her lips.

" Avery she said that it wasn't an accident you killed her"

" me" she drop her mouth " that's a lie and Susie know that"

" if you like, we can meet later on today maybe at the park or a place of your liking to talk more. It's my job to crossover Susie and right now she isn't at peace"

Avery push some of her hair strands back while dusting off her clothes.

" ahh, sure um my mom and dad won't be back in  the city until tomorrow at noon, so if you want to you can come by I say around 8, but as long as Susie don't ruin anything"

" I can't say if  she would or wouldn't, I'm only here to just find the closure that the spirit need in order for them to go into the light where they belong"

" I understand" she said feeling a bit down.

" so tonight at 8" I confirmed.

" yes, I should get going I have a shift in a few"

I watched as she turn on her heels and headed over towards her bike.

She glanced back at me before pedaling away.

Not feeling as hungry as I once was I just headed over towards the car to join kent and Melissa who was standing around with gabby as she played outside.

• The Wilkins home •

Knocking on the Wilkins door I waited patiently for Avery to let me in.

As I waited I took my time to take in the nice view around the home.

With their door being transparent, I could make out a figure coming towards me.

" just a minute" she said now standing by the locks as I could hear it get undone.

" I'm glad you could make it" Avery said now moving over to the side allowing me to come in.

" very nice home you all have" I complimented.

" thanks, I'm so use to it now even though it's not the same with Susie not being here"

We continue to walk through the home until we reach the patio.

The fire pit was lit as I took a seat on the cushion lounge chair.

" if you don't mind me asking what kind of work do your parents do?"

" both my parents are lawyers so they are pretty much away a lot"

" right which explains why I'm dead"

I look off my shoulder to see Susie's standing in front of Avery.

I then looked at Avery who could feel that something was off.

" I know this may sound rude but why is my sister still here instead of being in heaven?"

" that's good a question, she wants too but she's under the impression that you are responsible for her murder and she won't stop haunting you until..."

" she kills me" she said with defeat in her voice

" but that's not going to happen, right Susie" I ask through gritted teeth.

Avery eyes grew open as she sat back inside her chair.

" she's here? Oh my gosh Susie, hey sister what is it that you want from me?"

" tell her I want the truth, I want her to admit what she have done to me"

" Avery, Susie wants you tell her what happen the night of her murder"

The sounds of the tree leaves wrestle with the night winds as Avery sat quietly.

" if I tell my side would I be charge for a murder that i didn't commit?"

" it all depends on what truly happen to her." I said.

I gave Avery like I would give anyone some time to think about how they wanted to start there story.

All I needed was the truth so that Susie can also get the truth and everyone can move past this terrible tragedy.

" okay. I will talk but only if Susie can just really hear me out without trying to do any physical harm to me" Avery asked

My eyes drifted to Susie as she was still coming off so angry.

" Susie please you want to hear what happen to you and she's willing to do that"

" fine"

I nodded my head for Avery to get started.

" here goes nothing."

" that night was like any other night for the Wilkins family. We had dinner with our parents and had conversations that was either about school, or college talk you know just what family's would talk about over dinner."

" of course it sounds like you all was very close"

" we was." Avery smiled  " in fact when the tragic struck I was so heartbroken and my parents was devastated and my mother couldn't forgive me for that night"

" so what happen next?"  I asked

Susie eventually sat down as i looked back over to see her forming to the young girl she was.

" that same my it was around 7 and my parents both had business trip that night. So, they left in charge like normal and once they left the last thing I told them was that Susie's was in good hands, and as I said that i looked back and smiled at Susie's as she was excited. Who would have known that smile that i gave her was going to be my last. So once I was for sure that my parents left i called up some friends from high school and threw a little party"

" like normal teenagers would do." I added

" right! It wasn't suppose to go left but it did.  The clock hit 12 in the morning and the party was getting wild, crazy, fun and my boyfriend showed up and we was Jaír enjoying ourself. The one person who i didn't invite was Susie. Reason for that was because she was 12. All my friends was 16 and older. Susie kept insisting that i allow her to join and she kept begging and begging"

" so did you eventually give in?"

She shook her head.

" i didn't want too, but we was all drinking and i remember her saying if i don't let her join me and my friends that she would call our parents and tell them everything that was going on. I couldn't have that so I told her what the heck as long as she stay out the way.  The moment that change everything was the balcony. It was at least ten of us up there Including me and jake, so I remembered that Susie had a big crush on the star basketball player Kevin Host. So while everyone was enjoying the music and themselves I walked over to her and i was like you want to be apart of getting noticed by Kevin."

Avery stop as I could see her eyes watering.

Susie on the other hand wasn't showing any emotion that i could remember.

" she was so thrilled to be doing something like the rest of us and i should have never suggested anything. But i did"

" what was it that you have her do?" I said.

" she was so down to do whatever that i daré her to juno from the balcony and dive into the pool. Why did I even ask her to do that i still don't know so she in the position and even jake told that he don't that it was a good idea and instead of listening to him I brush it off. Everything change within those ten minutes when she push against the railings...."

" keep going Avery it's Okay"  i comfort

" is she mad. Susie I don't want you anger with me anymore. Grace is she mad at me?"

" right now Avery i can't really say. She just wants the truth"

" well once she touch those stupid rails two of them broke and in seconds she slip off and fell breaking her neck In two places, and both her legs from the impact"

Avery started to very out now as she held onto her stomach.

I'm sure retelling that story after witnessing it first hand wasn't easy and was very painful to hear.

" all I wanted was to be like you, was to feel popular and have that status of being a Wilkins being your sister and instead it cost my life over a dare that you knew would have gotten me killed" Susie finally spoke.

" Avery Susie wants you to know that all she ever wanted was to be like her big sister. She wanted to feel wanted and popular just like you but instead she get out with a dare that ended her life unfortunately"

Avery still was crying out for forgiveness from her sister.

" Susie no. i wouldn't have ever told you to get on that rail, haven't I known that it would have been the last time I would have saw you. I'm truly sorry for the tragedy that happen to you at such a young age and i know you had your whole life ahead of you and i don't blame you for haunting me and causing me havoc my life I deserve everything bit of it"

" not only that but i was humiliated, i was embarrassed as I lay there for twelve minutes in pain dying in such a horrible and painful way. Yet you remain on that balcony no even willing to help me"

" Avery Susie said she was still alive, she was slowly dying for twelve minutes and no one came to rescue"

" hi..how" she choked on her words " how would I have known I froze. I was shock everyone started yelling and screaming and then i was left alone with a dead sister. No one help me!. All i wanted was for you to be in a better place and you couldn't all because of me. Forgive me Susie" Avery begged

I looked at Susie as she walked over to her sister who was letting out the emotion that's been bottle up.

" i do. It wasn't much that you could have for me anyhow because I was good as dead. You told me the truth and i knew you didn't mean that accident to happen it wasn't your fault and I see that now"

" she said that she forgive you, and that she knew that it wasn't your fault. you provided her with the truth and that's all that matters."

I knew that Susie was ready to go into the light as her face was beaming with the light.

" I'm ready for it now" she said as a tear slip down her face.

I wipe my own away as I nodded.

" then go to it Susie it waiting for you" i whisper.

She looked back at her sister before giving her a hug and Avery eyes got bigger.

Her lips quivered from the feeling her sister final touch.

Susie then got up and was now walking into a place called home.

I walked over to embrace Avery as she continued to call out for her sister.

" she's in a better place now because of you. You made that happen and now she can finally be at peace"

" i know but it still hurt so much" she sniffles

I continue to hold on to her.

That's life,  there will be things that will hurt you so much,  but it's up to you to face those problems and to move forward from them.

That's what we all have to do..... is move forward.
