Episode 13, ( part 2 )

~ Hybrid Fitness ~

" okay hold on, so you telling me that a ghost kid told you that you don't have much time to figure out who he is before he hurts three innocent boys" Andrew ask me while lifting up a dumbbell and placing it back down.

I huff as I turned up the speed on the treadmill.

" I know it sounds crazy drew but he was serious and I'm no where near finding out who this kid is"

Our workout session lasted for about an hour and thirty minutes before Andrew and I was both laid out on the wooden gym floor.

" no it doesn't sound crazy at all just a challenge but I know if anyone can do it, it's you"

I turn my head towards my husband as I grin at the fact that he was right.

I knew I was able to figure this ghost out and save those kids lives and if going to that campsite could help then that's what I'll do.

" so what's your game plan?" Drew question.

" well so far Mel have class today so I'll be riding by myself to the camp I'll figured out what I need to know and that's it"

" yeah grace but you know how dangerous they can get.... Especially the teenage ghost"

Biting my jaws Andrew was right, a spirit of a kid are a lot more dangerous then adults but I have no other choice.

" I love when you worry about me but i promise you won't have too"

Looking at my watch it was now twelve and The camp was open.

Gathering my gym material I glanced over at Andrew who face expression wasn't so certain.

" babe trust me I'll be okay" Leaning over I kissed his lips as he pulled me closer into his embrace.

Now sitting on his lap our lips was locked on each other before the door swung open and In Walked another couple.

Clearing my throat as I jump out my skin from the door opening I could hear Andrew giggle as he help me to my feet.

" oh we're so sorry we didn't know anyone was still in here" the lady said apologizing before Turing on her heels to walk back out.

" wait, it's okay we was just leaving please this gym is all yours" I said before giving a warm smile.

" Great thank you so much"

" sure you guys enjoy yourselves" Andrew added while carrying our bags out.

Now at the vehicle I received a text from Melissa letting me know that she was going to be booked for the rest of the day and it was totally fine.

" okay babe I'm off to the house grab a shower and Then head into work. You sure you'll be good alone with this ghost?"

Throwing my purse and water bottle into the car I nodded my head.

" yes I'll be fine in fact if something feels not right or if I feel that I'm in any danger you'll be the first to get my sos" I laughed.

Moments later we locked lips before Andrew parted one way as I went the other way.

It was time to get down the business and the race against time starts now.

~ NightLife Campers ~

Pulling my vehicle into the empty parking lot I waited for at least five minutes inside the car.

I thought maybe I would have been greeted by the mystery ghost but unfortunately I wasn't.

Getting out I tried to keep my mind focus at the task in hand as I approached the lobby.

The bell went off as I walked inside waiting to get any type of service.

While I waited I decided to wander around as a couple of photos was plastered on the walls.

As I worked my way from left to right one particular photo stood out to me.

Reaching forward to touch it my hand Jump as the sign of heels clanking on the floors brought me back to reality.

" welcome to nightlife campers how can I assist you today ma'am"

Turning around the lady seem as if she was in her late twenties, and by the way her posture was she wasn't to thrill to be working today.

" uh yes I was one of your campers a couple nights ago, and I wanted to do a report on this amazing establishment..."

" okayyy.... Sooo what do you want to know?" She slurred her words.

" well for starters I wanted to know about the boys in that photo, especially the one in the middle" I then turn toward the wall as I pointed my Index finger on the picture.

" oh yeah them, we'll they all was regular and after being with our camp for more than a month you get a certificate on the wall amongst other things"

Nodded my head as if I was understanding her I put my attention back on to the photo.

As she ramble on about the boys  I put my eyes on the very bottom of the frame where the names was listed.

" bingo.... I got your name "

" if you really want to know more about their adventures that they normally take around this time every year you could probably catch them at the ballpark pond. It's just around the corner into the woods"

Writing down some of this great information I thanked the lady and headed on my way.

The sun was still shining but was on the verge of setting soon.

As I walked down the path I could feel the heavy winds playfully going across my body and face.

" I know that's you Aden Parker you don't have to do this" I said stopping in my tracks.

The winds stopped and I knew I was right.

" just because you know my name doesn't mean anything. I still want payback and one of them is going to get it"

" wait...."

Just like that he was gone again and I knew I needed to hurry up And get to that pond before something bad happens.

Taking off my heels I raced down the path looking from left to right hoping that I could find those kids before it was too late.

" what!.... Ah come on no way" a voice said a couple miles ahead.

Praying that it was the boys that needed my saving I ran down a little further as I could spit three young kids playing by the pond.

" Hey! Hey I need to have a word with all of you" I yelled.

They all jump up as if they was doing something illegal and before they could run off I caught up with them.

" oh who are you and how did you know that we was over here?" The boy said with the ginger hair.

I stood for a minute while trying to see if Aden would have made an appearance but luckily he hasn't yet.

" lady who are you and what are doing stalking us"

" okay for one i wasn't stalking you all but I am here to warn you about the danger that you are in.

After looking at me like I was delusional they all busted out in laughter.

" oh yeah" they laughed again " and who wants to hurt us?"

Not knowing whether they was going to. Believe me or not I Went straight for it.

" a boy by the name of Aden Parker, does that name mean anything to one of y'all?"

Just as a thought the woods grew quiet.

" what do you know about him?"

" only what he wanted me to know and that wasn't much, oh but he mentioned that he wants to harm all of you"

" wait what!" They gasp.

Looking around i dust off a blanket that laid across the grass and then I sat down.

" if you like I can tell you what I do know but only if you guys can tell me what happen to Aden.. deal"

It took a minute but they all agreed and took a seat next to me and one in front of me.

" okay, will talk"

" can I start by asking for all your names"

They nodded and proceeded to talk.

" I'm Chris, to your left is mason, and to your right is Cole"

" thank you, is their a reason why Aden is so mad with all of you"

" not all of us... just me" Chris spoke up.

" yeah? Why's that" I asked

The waters started to sway heavily as the trees moved with a breeze they came Upon us.

" he's here isn't he?" Asked mason who seem really scared.

I looked around before Aden was standing off in the distance watching us all.

Turing my head to face the boys I nodded my head yes and I could see the life drain from their eyes.

" it's all my fault n I shouldn't have let us do that stupid prank on him that's really all it was... a prank that went horribly wrong"

" he's here, he's listening. Go on how did this prank turn deadly"

" well it was only supposed to have been me and mason here Just playing around. we normally take our skateboards and try to ride it across the water just to see if we could float and cole which is Aden friend he wanted join us"

" keep going" I insisted.

" right" Chris mumble while rubbing his sweaty palms on his t-shirt.

" after a couple days of hanging with us he kinda join our club or clique however you want to put it. But then he told us about his friend who was dying to be apart of a group of a club but he never fitted in like the rest of us"

" so I was just a lame to you all like I didn't belong.... you guys treated me like an outcasts" Aden said with rage.

" Aden said that you all treated him like an outcast, as if he was lame"

" I mean he wasn't really our type of speed" mason mentioned " don't get me wrong he was cool and did everything that you ask him to but he was thirsty for the attention and to be a somebody you know?"

I frown as I could look on Aden face that read all kinds of emotions at this moment.

" are you kidding me! I only wanted to be somebody because I had nothing. I had no friends I was a loner, I was an outcast but cole you made me feel as if I was apart of a true friendship with you all instead I get a death date" he said with tears rolling from his cheek.

" Chris what happen the day Aden died."

Silence came crashing in once more and I knew this conversation was started to get to everyone.

" we all met up here at the pond and we knew that Aden was on his way to join, so It was my idea all mine to give him a little prank. So trying hard to think of anything I decided to do the walk on water trick. With a screwdriver in my fingers I loosen all four of the skateboard wheels and.... When he got there we told him in order to join our club you have to first ride your skateboard on water"

" gosh I can't listen to this right now you guys are unbelievable"

" hey just hear them out. Please I want you to be at peace no matter how uncomfortable this conversation will become."

Aden folded his arms before listening to the rest of the story.

" what happen what he say... I know he hates all of us right now including me doesn't he" said cole .

" finish the story Chris...please" I said.

" he gave in, in fact he was so happy that he gave all of us a hug.... He gave us all a hug and thank us for wanted to be his friend gosh I feel so stupid" Chris mentioned while hitting himself up side the head a couple of times.

" once his foot touch that skateboard we all knew what was about to happen but none of us stop it. We thought he could swim. After he step on and took that first push everything went left."

" so Instead of helping your friend you guys stood there and watch him drown"

" not exactly we tried to help but the more he fought In the water the quicker he was moving away from us and after a certain point the water get steeper and you can't swim then you'll get lost"

" but Aden didn't die from drowning did he?"

I then gave cole a glance before his head drop lower than I expected it to go.

Cries started to fill the air as I knew I was getting through to these kids.

" no. He uh tried to grab and hang on to me and with Chris and mason panicking I didn't want to be the blame for his death. So I push him off of me and he slip on a Rock hit his head and he stop moving once he fell"

" wow my own friend the only one I thought that I had in this world killed me was I not anything to any of you"

" Aden wants to know was he not worthy of having any type of friendship with any of you. As you guys can see this is the most by far sad story that I have ever dealt with in my life and it cost a kid his life by trying to gain friends"

" I just wanted to he be liked that was it. Instead I get a prank, and a busted skull and for what?" Aden said.

" Aden i know you may be hurt and mad and want revenge and believe me you have every right to do whatever you want with me, with us because trust me we deserve it. But I am truly sorry for what I did and the action that took place and instead of it building a friendship it cost you your life. I Chris take full responsibility of my actions"

" I also mason take full responsibility of my actions"

I smile as things was finally starting to look up just a little bit.

" and i Cole your best friend take all the responsibility of my actions that lead to your death it wasn't worth it. And you'll always be my friend no matter how far away you are and I hope that you can forgive me so that you can move on to that perfect heaven that awaits you.

I looked over at cole who eyes had so much light in them and his smile made me feel so warm inside.

" You feel that?" Aden ask before looking my way.

" no I don't what's it feel it"

" peace" he said before looking over at the boys.

" tell them that it's okay they don't have to cry over the mistakes that they made because that's all it was. I'm no longer mad or upset in fact I forgive all of them and I hope that they can find forgiveness in themselves. Until we meet again I'll see you all on the other side"

After his words he gave me a nod before walking off into the light and tears came rushing down my face as I knew it would.

" is he still here" Cole asked.

Wiping my face I shook my head no and they gather each up into a big hug and cried.

" he's at peace and he wants you all to be as well"

" lesson learned please don't do this on anyone else if their not the type of person you see being around for a long time then don't bother trying to be their friend I would hate for something bad to happen to them or to you guys"

" deal" they said In unity.
